Staff ia friendly but the machines suck and are all scattered so be prepared to go to 3 diff areas for a leg day. Also class times suck. Nothing before 9 am and I am a 5 am class person. Plus way too expensive for vtl. Crunch has many more options at a great price. Oh and the sauna is dirty and gross here. read more

I am currently giving this gym a 1 star rating because on Thursday at approximately 11:58am I was completely ignored and overwhelmed. I had a question that needed answered and was ignored because the front desk employees were busy making out. I came back minutes later to ask for a towel and was ignored again until another front employee came by to finally give me a towel. I had planned on writing this the day of on 10/16/25 but I got busy. I personally liked this location out of the others but the lack of employees, dissatisfactory customer service and communication can lead to a lawsuit for the owner of the franchise. read more

Gyms ok. But don't take your kids to the kid zone there. Way understaffed with people who shouldn't be watching kids even. Use to take my daughter and they would have one person trying to watch 15 kids with infants even. Kids balling a crying on the floor person can't even do anything cause they are holding a baby. I asked the person where's your help they said she's cleaning bathrooms she will be back later I said aren't you way over your ratio and they just said well ya. Another time I picked my child up with white paint all over her mouth I asked what it was they told me oh she got into some white out like no big deal. This review is only regarding the kid zone. I get a call to come to the kid zone and I can hear my son crying in the background. I come to see what's going on. She said he's crying, doesn't know why; blamed it on possible teething and was doing fine the whole time til recently. I noticed a little girl standing next to her with tearful eyes. So I don't know exactly the situation but... my son had two bruises on his forehead the next day and I didn't see him get hurt while under my care. So long story short. He must of not been watched and was left around bigger kids that may of hurt him. I will not be taking my son to the kid zone here and I don't recommend anyone do . Maybe better training for the employees and keeping the older kids away from 1 year olds would be a suggestion to help prevent children from getting hurt. read more

I like working out here but it is a messy gym. The women's bathroom is always dirty. The floors look so gross! The floors look like they are mopped with dirty water and a dirty mop. The sinks are also gross. Many times there are no paper towels to wipe down the workout equipment. read more

Managers & Owners of this establishment are unethical and by all means the worst, They demand member commitment to paying a monthly fee, to facility. While demanding every week usage of certain amenities: today I was denied access to all areas in pool area, Jacuzzi, Steam & Sauna because manager wanted to clean the floor near pool area, THIS TYPE OF ACCESS DENIAL HAPPENS EVERY WEEK, MAY EVEN BE DAILY. If denied access of amenities occurs when I visit, it's likely occurring daily to every member that wants access. (My opinion is the owners, do not want to pay for after hour cleaning of the establishment. "Cheapskates." ) They want your money, monthly fee, and deny access to certain parts of gym, pool area, so they can clean on your dollar. Not theirs.) read more

Wow! Amazing staff! I was blown away by how attentive the front desk workers were. Very welcoming especially after a long day at work. They were quick to ask how my day is going and offering towel service to members. They were also very helpful with my whole sign up process and made it very easy for me to create my account. The managers were absolutely helpful as well. Very accommodating to members and are always there when I had questions. Place is spotless, members are very nice and welcoming, kid zone looks very clean and friendly environment. Sauna and steam room are always open and never broken. Great equipment. Can't ask for more! Guy caught someone recording in locker room and pointing towards mirror while people were undressed getting in shower and getting out. Management did nothing and told people "it's ok he's a regular he was on a zoom call and forgot where he was and didn't mean anything by it." I've been an In-Shape member since 2018. Never had any issues at other locations such as: E Yosemite Manteca, Prescott, and Floyd.For some reason at this location specifically, I encountered a lot of rude and disrespectful people (this includes some employees and members) who just made my experience uncomfortable. Exercise is supposed to be relaxing and therapeutic. With this in mind I canceled my membership. When I told the front desk about my cancellation, he didn't even bat an eye or ask me why I wanted to cancel. All the more reason to leave this gym. My husband and I joined a different gym that same day. read more

This gym has gone downhill! There is way to many members for the size of the location. No one can ever workout comfortably, people hog the machines all the time and go in groups. I can definitely say I hate working out there which sucks because this is the closest location to me. There's also times that people are in there without a shirt which is disturbing and annoying since the workers don't tell them anything. read more

Nice gym but messy..it took me a while to find weights they are not organized or in their place. A little annoying because it's taking time from the little time I have to workout. I highly advise anyone to not join this gym..I was told to get a membership on line for a better rate, and I did..got member ship for my mother, however she was not able to go because of health and age..I cancelled membership with in 2 weeks and was charged 159.00 without my consent.. plus I paid 145.00 to start membership for my mother.. nobody ever attended this gym.. there is no corporate office to call, only a email to get in contact with company..I sent email and never received a reply but was still charged additional charges... this is a horrible company to deal with... how can a business not have a corporate office to call??.. read more

On Saturday 1130am I go to pick up my kids from daycare and there's a kid there with no mask now I asked the lady why does my kids have to wear a mask and that child does not have to wear a mask. she said because his dad did not have a mask and couldn't find it. So this upsets me and here's why because I just signed up for the gym and I came 2 weeks ago to put my children in daycare now the lady said they needed masks I said I don't have masks and then the general manager came and said they need masks or they can't go in, so they made me buy my child a mask at the front desk. My thing is they made a big deal about my child not wearing a mask she is 3 years old, but they are letting other kids go in the daycare without masks, so why is that I thought there was no exceptions read more

I honestly do not like writing negative reviews for any business but today I felt like I had to. With me being new to the area, I wanted to check out the local gyms. I was hoping to work out this gym before signing up. I walk-in to the gym and asked about trialing the gym before signing up. They said its either I sign up for a day pass or sign up for the monthly. What made me upset is that when I called other in shapes or other local gym is that they were more willing to help me out before signing up. This gym showed no interest on helping me out nor giving the option for a tour. I definitely lost my motivation to workout. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I just recently moved back in to town from being away for 6 years because of college and I signed up for a 1 day pass to see how the gym is and if I want to sign up. The lady asked if I ever been at the gym before, I told her how I came when I was 10 years old and I would be in the kids play room because my grandpa would work out. I PERSONALLY NEVER HAD A GYM MEMBER SHIP HERE! She said I am now allowed to work out cause I came to this gym 15 years ago and played In the play house. I found it very weird and just not right. My friend Ashley, who also left to college with me, WHO ALSO WAS GOING TO THE KIDS PLAY HOUSE AT THE GYM WHILE WE WERE 10 YRS OLD,whose a Caucasian women, was allowed to get in the gym with the free day pass, but I WAS NOT AND I AM A BLACK WOMEN. Love how they have a variety of machines for us to use! Esp for cardio and core. One of the major downfalls is the staff at the front desk having convos about their work/personal drama(I totally get it sometimes we get really into our convos) but this is an every day thing coming into the gym and convos happening while they let others block the scanners....instead of telling them to move to the side when other customers are trying to scan in and get their workout over with. Besides that really annoying thing, I don't mind driving from Modesto to ceres for this gym. The staff definitely needs to be coached/trained more on customer service......... read more

By far the best facility around. This location is mint from the staff, to the equipment, to the facility itself. From the management down this gym truly cares about it's members. I am certainly satisfied thus far and have been blown away compared to other locations. read more

This gym is great - only two issues I have with it which are the following; 1. Lack of mirrors. People like to look at themselves while working out to ensure proper form. Please invest in mirrors. 2. The bathroom doors in the women's restroom swing towards the inside and it's very difficult to get out. Please fix that. read more
