Aaron did a great job cutting my 12-year-old's hair, but I was surprised by the price. I thought I heard $30, so I paid by debit card and also tipped him $10 in cash. Later today, I noticed I was actually charged $40 for the haircut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to ask, he explained that $40 is their standard price but offered to refund me the $10, which I appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Still, the situation felt a little off. The haircut was good, but the price is a bit high for me. I've been there before and I was charged $25. I guess they raised their price. My kids dad took our son to get a haircut and he got a haircut by the guy on the left side with the light brown dreads I think his name was sheek or something. He did a horrible job on my son had I known it was him that was going to do his cut I would've suggested someone else. I had already seen him outside drinking but I didn't realize he was an actual barber there. But my review is for him, I have taken my son there and had a great cut from cj. So for future references I'll just be sure to book with him or the other guy Jon Jon. I'm just even more mad that it's before his school pics so there's no way to fix it I don't think. When I called to ask if it was busy and I could get my haircut, the person who answered the phone said not busy and I can walk in and get my haircut. Upon arrival, the business has nothing inside. They are closed. Not sure why he didn't just tell me they are no longer in business. Very rude if you ask me. read more

My boyfriend was in serious need of a line up. We're new in Lancaster so we're still trying to find a barber he trusts the way he trusted his old one from South Central. You don't just go to anyone for your hair, similar to how we girls don't just go to any nail tech for our nails. This barber shop specifically caught my eye on Yelp because they showed extensive pictures of their work on clients unlike the other barber shops. I also wanted him to check this place out specifically since it was a black barbershop, so I know they wouldn't mess his hair up. The other few barbershops that did show pictures of their work lacked photos on what they could do on black hair, so coming here made him feel more comfortable. Parking was easy to find, you can park right in front of the shop. They also were able to easily accommodate walk-ins, we came with no appointment on a Tuesday right before noon and got helped right away. My man was very satisfied with the service. Terrence did a magical job. He left feeling fresh and happy knowing we found his new go-to barber. read more

Made an appointment with CJ on Booksy and input my credit card for the deposit in case I was a no show. I arrived at shop 4:05 and waited til 4:45pm he was a no show. I texted him at 430p and he never responded so I left at 445pm. Well he charged me the cancellation fee anyway even though it was him that didn't show not me. I texted him the next morning asking for my deposit back and his response was " 30 MINUTES IS NOT A LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR A HAIRCUT" and that I could apply it to the next haircut. Well, my time is valuable as well, especially when I made an appointment well ahead of time. Oh by the way this is the 2nd time he's been a no show for my appointment. So I had been thinking a lot of going with a modern look and getting the lower back of my head shaved with a design. Didn't think anyone in the AV did this type of style so I did a lot of researching before I came upon this business here on yelp. The pictures that were posted as well as the 5 star rating definitely helped. I came in with a couple of ideas that I had screen shot from my phone. My barber, Lonnell (aka manOFbusiness) decided to do his own spin and I decided to trust him. He was very friendly and professional and took his time to be detailed and have accuracy and consistency, which you don't see a lot of now and days. I love the cut he gave me, very pleased and will definitely be coming back. This place is really nice and clean on the inside, everyone treats you like family. I'm not one to cut my hair often but I do want to keep up my cut so I will definitely be coming back to see Lonnell and try other designs out. I am a very pleased customer. A+++++ read more

I walked in and had 2 people in front of me . I was told it would be a 30- 45 minute wait and barber said it would be fine if I left and came back before 7 and I would be up next and be helped by one of the barbers. Left for 25 minutes to get something to eat. It's 6:35 p.m. when I go back and the door is locked and one barber comes out and says "it's a wrap"... lol... My family and I had been looking for a Black Barber Shop in the Antelope Valley for quite some time; saw this one and read the great reviews and decided to take my Grandson to get a proper haircut. We work in Downtown L.A., it was important for us to leave work early to pick our Grandson up from the Daycare Center in east Palmdale to arrive in Lancaster at a reasonable time; we arrived at 5:30 pm. We walk in and "no one" greeted us, my Husband and Grandson take a seat, five minutes go by and still, "crickets." A gentleman walks in and wants a trim on his beard, a barber in the back on the right side of the shop said we arrived before him and no one would be able to take him; mind you, they don't close until 8:00 pm. That same barber asks us what we want done, my Husband says we'd like to get my Grandson a haircut, he points to this unprofessional dude all the way in the back on the left and said he'd cut his hair, that guy immediately said, I'm not cutting no kids hair." WTF? The barber on the left said (with a straight face), "come back tomorrow at this time and I'll cut his hair." Are you serious? I wouldn't go back to that shop if it was the last shop on the effin' planet. I'd rather drive down the hill to South L.A., Inglewood or Gardena, where Barbers know how to treat customers and actually "want" your business. This place is a joke!!! read more
