This place was incredible. Sadly it had to give way to so called progress in the name of a Bank of America. Regardless of what you ordered the food was exceptional. My personal favorite was the molé. The molé was as close to my mom's as I could find. My daughter delighted in the Inca quesadilla. My husband devoured the molcajete. We will miss not only the food and the beautiful murals on the walls but the staff who became like family as well as some of the customers. My daughter grew up knowing this place. From birthdays, holidays and anniversaries, Inca was always a big part of our lives. This is sincerely the end of an era in Fort Collins. It's been a beautiful memory. I dined here for a late lunch/early dinner last week. I ordered the beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas. I was so hungry i dug in before taking the photo. I also had a mango margarita which was both delicious and potent. I enjoyed the tortilla chips and house made salsa which had a delightful amount of fresh flavor as well as a very noticeable amount of heat I found wonderful. My fajitas came sizzling hot with grilled tomatoes onions, as well as yellow, red and green bell peppers to complement the beef, chicken and shrimp. I had the corn tortillas and there were nice and fresh and held the fajitas and toppings well. The cheese, pico, sour cream and guacamole toppings were a bit limited in quantity, but that was the only shortcoming of the meal. I finished with the flan which was not only wonderfully presented, but very tasty as well. Service was pretty good. read more

Do you like dark Mole sauce, not just red or green? I haven't seen it elsewhere but here. My lady and I had two 3 Enchilada platters with black beans and pico d'galo for $16 bucks with this mole. Wonderful flavor and enough that half came home with us. Menu prices were all reasonable and had lots of pictures for us Americanos. Have to try more! Service was very good, though it wasn't a busy moment. Large enough dining area for 2-3 big groups. We will retour! read more

The food here is ok. The chips and salsa were very fresh. There were no broken chips in the basket and the salsa tastes good. Serving sizes are large and our food came out hot and fresh. The tamale was ok. The maza had a funny texture almost like grits but the meat stuffing was tasty, not spicy and nicely seasoned. The cheese enchilada was large but for me, had too much cheese in it. The red sauce had a nice flavor with a bit of a tang and spice to it. The taco shell was soggy because the lettuce was too wet and drained water into the shell making it soggy. The burrito was smothered in cheese sauce that tasted like plain velveeta with no spices or seasonings. The BlackBerry margarita was nicely balanced and reasonably priced. It was served in a pretty glass and was nicely garnished with fresh fruit. The place is very, very clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, the food is just ok, the salsa and chips were delicious, the margarita was refreshing and service was great. read more

Excellent service from Wilbur and huge portions! Three Enchilada Dinner Combination, (4.5), $16.95 + $1.95 for cream sauces Chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce were excellent. Sauce slightly too sour creamy and chicken slightly salty but still a fabulous choice. One of the best sour cream sauces I've found in my travels but still falls short of the bar set by Juan Pablo's in Sulphur Springs, TX. Sorry Inca. One ground beef enchilada with traditional red sauce was just about perfect. Not too salty, not too greasy, great flavor. Refried beans were very good as was the Spanish rice. Portion was large enough to take 1/2 home for lunch tomorrow. Soft drinks (root beer and Coke) were the best we've had in a long time. Perfect mix of carbonation and syrup. Salsa was about 3 on a 1-10 heat scale and had very good flavor. Chips were fresh and crisp, not thick. Atmosphere was relaxed with modern music but not too loud or annoying. Conversation was easy. Will definitely be back next time we are in town! We sat inside but the patio seating looked inviting. A couple of minor problems: Handicap stall in women's restroom is missing the latch. No way to lock it to keep our from coming open. It stayed closed just long enough for me to finish. Men's restroom could be cleaner. Outside, the sidewalk was uneven enough that my wheelchair had some difficulty getting over the seams in the concrete. read more

My family and I have been eating here for years. Simply the best food in Fort Collins. Now the developer of the property on which the INCA sits plans on building bank of America on the Inca's site. I believe that the citizens of Fort Collins can put a stop to this. We went there about two weeks ago, and really enjoyed the food. However, today it sucked. I had the "crispy flour tortilla shell" taco salad. It was literally swimming in grease. The entire bottom gave out and grease poured out. See pictures you will see all the grease. But they give you a whole head of lettuce, and "some meat". Not our first time here, but wanted to review it since I love it so much! I wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant, but my whole family loves this place and for good reason! Awesome fresh chips and salsa! I read a review that said you should ask for some green salsa. Great call! It was a warm, smooth blend that was great with the chips and on the meal that came shortly after. Everything is delicious, right down to the beans! Large affordable meals (enough to take some home for a second meal). Great service too. Server was nice and memorized the order and got everything perfect! Beautiful atmosphere and I believe this is a locally owned restaurant, that has been here many, many years. A great reason to both enjoy and support it! read more

We've been coming to this restaurant for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed by the food. However, in the last two trips we have been. The first time I was eating with my wife and the cheese enchiladas were cold and after a couple of bites I came across what could only been determined to be rotten cheese. I spit it out and it tasted so bad!!! This last week we went there again hoping for different results. Unfortunately, the food still tasted awful but not as bad as it was before. It was also cool when served. So the cheese inside did not melt the way it should have. I do have to say, I am hopeful that they improve. read more

This restaurant has a very homely feel and reminds me of a restaurant chain in California called El Toritos. The outside is something left to be desired as the CA in "INCA" was blacked out and looked as if the restaurant was called "IN Mexican Restaurant" driving by. Nonetheless, I stopped in for dinner since me and my mom were craving Mexican food and I noticed the Aztec decor throughout. That definitely made up for the points lost for the look outside. Our server was very kind and attentive, so definitely enjoyed the wait staff. The food was just OKAY. Not really hot, the rice was bland, refried beans were tasty, but the Carne Asada stole the show! It was seasoned and grilled to perfection! Would I go back, yeah just because the staff was great and the food wasn't bad, I just would try the different options. We ordered food from here about a week ago. My wife ordered veggie enchiladas. I ordered a shredded beef enchilada with rice and beans, a chile relleno, and a tamale. All were smothered, but that's optional. First, let me mention the packaging. Everything was in cardboard instead of Styrofoam or plastic. They're doing it right. Thanks, Inca! Its very spacious and conveniently located with lot of parking space. Service is also good. Food is not great. I liked tamales but burritos and taco were let down. Didn't taste like freshly cooked , tasted like reheated to me. They have nice drinks. After our beer tour we really wanted Mexican for dinner. Yelp research yielded sevral possibilities and after reading reviews and looking at photos of food, we landed at Inca. This was a pretty good experience. Inca is a minor chain having three locations in Washington and this one in Fort Collins. They clearly want to be a larger chain, offering franchise opportunities. They have a large menu, in the restaurant, but it is not available on line. The photos are beautiful. Ms T went with a beef tosdada that was piled high with beef, lettuce and tomatoes. There was no way you would pick this up and eat it. She reported that it was well flavored. Bro J had very good chile verde in another large serving and T had chicken enchiladas in red sauce. The sauce looked like the orange sauce you get some places, not the pure chile sauce that I prefer. I went a different direction, when I found Birria de Borrego, a delicious lamb shank. It was juicy and braised very tender. Again, this was a large portion. We all were happy with our meals. When you are I a new place, you never know what you will find but this turned out well. Solid restaurant! Can't believe we were the only table there. Great meals, chips and salsa, and huge margarita pitchers. Wilmer was very nice, quick, and attentive. I will definitely go again. I only removed one star because I was not a fan of the queso, which I assumed was more of a dip. It was still really good! Just reminded me of a tougher, milder saganaki. Otherwise, I highly recommend their chimichangas. Massive plate and only $3 more to get 2 of them instead of 1 for dinner. I was only able to finish 1, but at least I have leftovers. I also wanted to add that it's super nice in there!! Loved the decor, lighting, all of it. Good food, service, atmosphere, and our waters were never even close to empty. My wife and I have ordered take out a few times from Inca. We decided to eat in this time. It was a Saturday afternoon about 4:00. Got seated fairly quickly, at at table that turned out to be very wobbly. A 9/16 wrench tightening on the base would fix that. The waiter was apologetic, and moved us. We ordered two different margaritas. They were good size and tasty. They served complimentary thick chips and chunky salsa. The food was served quickly on big plates. Our take out orders were always on soon-to-be obsolete styrofoam plates, and smaller. Our eat in order came on large plates. We both ordered 2 chicken enchiladas and 1 taco plate. The menu is 'way too large and a bit confusing. Enchiladas are on 2 or 3 different columns of the menu, for example. The large plates came with generous servings of Spanish rice, refried pinto beans. The enchiladas were smothered in cheese and chile - great comfort food. The enchiladas were well stuffed with flavored chicken. Excellent! We both took home enough left overs for a good lunch the next day. I highly recommend the restaurant for the food, service, and take out. I hope they don't have to close for a bank. read more

I stopped in here with family and we were sat immediately. This was a mediocre restaurant and really not much to brag about. The food was good but not great. Your standard Mexican chain restaurant food. The queso we ordered was orange like velveeta and not white how we usually receive. My son's taco shell fell apart on one side due to the meat/grease soaking through the shell. My taquitos rancheros were pretty good so that was a plus. I was not impressed with the prices. For your standard Mexican food it was pretty pricey. read more

We ordered Arroz Camarones and found a bug in the tortillas. The wings and legs are visible. We brought it to a servers attention and she said it was just the tortilla. We showed her the bug and the wings and she immediately took the tortillas away and then handed us our ticket and gave us a to go box. I've driven past this restaurant many times and it always seemed busy so I decided to give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food but I was indulging my dad who loves Mexican. They gave us chips and salsa almost immediately after sitting down and they were very good. The salsa had a nice kick to it which I was pleasantly surprised with and the chips were fresh and tasty. My dad got the carne asada burrito and I got one of the enchilada dishes. The portions are HUGE and most of the meals come with refried beans and rice. The food was very tasty and well seasoned. My family and I used to eat here all the time especially when we first moved here which was a little over 10 years ago so we've been here plenty. Always enjoyed it. It's been a long time but I decide to go just yesterday and I totally regretted it. I order a vegetarian burrito and I'm wondering who and what in the hell inspired such a thing... cauliflower? broccoli? carrots? And other weird things...
