Excellent food and service! I enjoyed a lunch special featuring moles cheese enchilada and a crispy chili rellena with beans and rice. Delicious refried beans and chunky salsa made for a delicious meal

Chips, salsa and the bean dip

My husband and I went here because a friend recommended it to us. We went on a Saturday right around lunch time and got seated right away. They bring you out a basket of chips and bowl of salsa and refried beans for the chips. The salsa was spicy but so good, as well as the chips! We order the Fajita's for one and that was more than enough for both of us. We did get one extra shell so we each had two soft shells but it was a very generous amount of food. It was also delicious! We will definitely go back again!

Spinach enchiladas. Yum!

Great family Mexican restaurant. Genuinely friendly service, super attentive without being annoying. Loved the food, just what one would hope for in a good Mexican meal. Good margaritas too, if that's something a person would like.

Friendly, fast service and charming, clean interior. Chips, salsa, and refried beans to start. Pork carnitas- hubs said it was good; thought it would come with tomatillo sauce (maybe it was cooked in it?) Chile relleño small combo for me- big portion! You can get it crispy or regular (I got it crispy). Lots of cheese. Kiddo got the kids menu burrito, which came with rice and black beans (in the tortilla). We would return when we're up in FoCo again!

Green Chile soup with Pork which is actually Tomatillo (no green Chile)

I took my dog to the emergency Vet next door so it was an opportune time for a quick dinner next door. The food was good, salsa amazing and service with a smile. I wasn't crazy about the enchilada being so thick, or the chips being cold but I loved the refried beans with lard. For the most part, they have good Mexican food. The corn tortillas aren't perfect but hey, it's Colorado. My biggest gripe would be the Green Chile soup. No green Chile. In Colorado, pork green Chile has long since been a staple and I've enjoyed the CO version for over 20 years of visiting. They use tomatillos. That's fine, but it's a crime to list it on the menu as green Chile.

This is a good place....convenient location. but they missed on service and the Chile Colorado. Tough beef cuts are not expected in this dish. But they totally redeemed themselves with very flavorful salsa and an amazing chicken mole. So not sure if it was an off day but hoping that when we come back, the staples of Americanized Mexico food is made well in all respects!

Thanks to my fellow yelpers was staying right down the street from this place and, decided to visit while I was down here. It sure didn't disappoint from the service to the food. First off a mask is required walking into the the restaurant, the staff is fully masked along with the proper sanitizing around the restaurant. Social distancing has been done with the 6ft away from tables they're spaced out properly so there is no concern with that. As far as the restaurant goes we elected to sit outside on the patio this evening and had a great time the views of the highway watching the cars pass by. Our server was really good with recommending great food and drink options he was really very friendly and welcoming since it was out first time there. He also did a really good job of coming to check on us about the food and our drinks. The food was awesome came very hot and ready to go did a late evening dinner. So glad I did some research on this place from the yelp community and gave it try.

Combination Beef Enchilada and 2 beef tacos with rice and beans

All the staff are friendly and professional. Our waiter was very tentative. Other staff were checking on us as well and making sure our drinks are full. Great customer service for sure. The dining are is very clean and has a nice ambiance to it. The food we ordered were delicious. We will definitely come back here again. Can't wait to try the other foods.

Special at Pueblo Viejo Great margaritas, excellent staff, consistent quality food, spicy sauces, fresh chips

I came here and got most of their tacos…read more All the good things about this place: -the carne asada tacos. Great flavor, not dry, perfect ratio of meat/veggie/tortilla. -the quesabirria tacos. Their consumé was pretty yummy! I think my only critique about these is that there could be more beef flavor... Maybe needs more salt?? - I love how they give you two chips with an order of tacos... To scrape up all the things that fell out of your taco at the end haha - there is a small eating area if you want to enjoy your food fresh! The mediocre: -their chicken taco was ok. It wasn't dry, which was great! I just wish it had a char on it to make it more flavorful - their salsas were not bad... But neither was spicy enough for me. -their al pastor taco was ok... There was something about the texture that turned me off. Idk it kinda tasted like marinated ground pork (even though it was minced?) -their birria taco - cause why get a birria taco when you can get a quesabirria taco for the same price!?! I would 100% be coming back just because their prices are pretty decent ($3/taco, $4/birria taco) and it is close to where I live. But I'll be sticking to their steak tacos and quesabirrias!

We got the bean breakfast burrito, steak, egg, and potato breakfast burrito, and the classic bacon, egg, and potato burrito all very delicious. I also had their Carne Asada tacos and they didn't disappoint at all. Perfect amount of onions and cilantro and they offer green and red sauce both so good. The service was excellent. I really like the ambience. They do have some seats out here if you wanted to come sit. I definitely will be coming back to try their Al Pastor next.

This time, I had dinner with family and friends downstairs. The walls are adorned with Mexican wrestling posters and the tables circle around a huge bar backed by an impressive wall of tequilas and mezcals. Even the front entrance showcases Mexican distillates. The drink menu is creative, with lots of fresh fruit and thoughtful specialties, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also offer a vast selection of tequilas and mezcals sourced by the owners. I especially appreciated that the mezcals are served in traditional gourd cups, a jicara. The food menu is like a upscale taco shop, with innovative appetizers and tacos rather than the usual predictable options, like enchiladas in red sauce. I really like the California burrito and the Nashville taco, but all of the food was enjoyed. They also have a great selection of salsas.
