An awesome return to a fantastic Restaurant! We are inside in a quiet booth...perfect! I went with the Servers suggestion the Asada! Once again perfect Service, meal, and beverage! I included the outside pic to find this gem of a restaurant. It's a short few steps down stairs to enjoy a huge few steps up in the dining experience!

We came here on a Saturday night. I called for reservations and we were seated right away. There's a lot of seating which is good because the place was packed. I like the ambiance, artwork at almost every booth. There were these pretty looking iron made pineapples over our booth. The seats are very comfortable. We ordered the coconut shrimp and the sauce was very tasty with a tangy spice. My friend ordered a Lamerá posa cocktail and it was well crafted and delicious. She ordered the beef fajitas and they flambéd it so the presentation was cool. I had the swordfish and it was a thick portion.

Haven't been in years but still so good! Service was great! We got the airline chicken, the daily special or steak and scallops, a starter of coconut shrimp and Brussels and of course, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding. The margarita was amazing as well! Definitely recommend

I recommend the warm chorizo corn dip. It's served with warm tortilla chips. It's the perfect starter to your meal. I also love that they have Mexican Coca Cola in a bottle. My friend ordered the fish tacos with mango salsa on the side and served with rice and beans. I ordered the grilled salmon that comes with a Chili Lime Glaze / Serrano Avocado Salsa / Ancho-Orange Tossed Arugula / Sweet Heat Balsamic Reduction / Arroz Fresco / Grilled Summer Vegetables. Overall a good and light meal. The arugula was flavorful and complemented the salmon perfectly. It might've been my favorite part of the dish. Service was great; Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and were seated immediately. We received our food pretty quickly, too. The restaurant has a really nice, cozy vibe. They also have outdoor seating options.

Awesome!!!! Such a great place, top notch food and service. Coming from out of town, We were told about the place by friends who are local. Did not disappoint! Big portions, great variety and great Gluten Free options and care. They knew their stuff. Highly recommended for all visitors, as the place is no secret to the locals.

Pretty good service - we went in the early evening on a Sunday and there were not many people there. Cozy, comfortable atmosphere and great food. Our appetizers and entrees came out within reasonable time and everything was fresh and delicious

The food was simply amazing and the service was phenomenal. Great experience overall and would love to come here if I am ever in Colorado again!

Neighbors and friends kept telling us that Jax flew in fresh seafood daily and, although it is pricey af, it is worth the cost. So we tried it. And dammit if they weren't right. They had several types of fish that day (my husband was so excited to get fried catfish). I had the cioppino, which is honestly my favorite of all west coast seafood dishes and they nailed it. We started with the Steelhead Carpaccio. Delightful flavors of salmon, grapefruit, and pistachio prop up the lime cream. All at once makes for a delicious and complex play on a basic Carpaccio. Mains: I went with a Crab Caccio e Pepe, a delicious creamy take on crab and pasta. Just the right amount of Grana Padano and black pepper create the underlying notes for this crab and pasta dish. Delicious. Wife N went with the Blackened Ahi. This was extremely tender, and cooked perfectly (which is to say, absolutely raw with the exception of the flawless eighth-inch sear all around). Fingerling potatoes, horseradish cream and a sweet onion jam routed out the flavors here. Perfect. Place is a bit loud, but has all the vibe you'd expect from an oyster bar. Love Jax! We'll be back next time we're in town!

Her culinary knowledge was clear, and pointed us in the right direction in regards to cocktails & wine selections-- what a great way to start the meal off. The food was beyond incredible. We started with "Clam Chowd'ah". Let me mention that I grew up in the Northeast, vacationing in New England my entire life, and this soup is spot on to the real thing-- a true MUST order, along with some delicious French bread & butter was all a wonderful starter. For dinner, our table ordered the "Hazel Dell Mushroom Wellington," a vegetarian magnum opus to be sure-- crispy & decadent, yet delicate pastry filled will savory mushrooms, yum! We also ordered the "Braised Colorado Short Rib" that fell apart with a fork only, no knives needed it was so tender! And finally, we ordered the "Maine Scallop Risotto." Tender, delicate scallops, not tough in the slightest gently placed on perfectly cooked risotto the way it's supposed to be, slightly loose, and not gluey-- the flavor was rich & tasty! Utter perfection, and my favorite dish of the night if its even possible to pick one from the incredible cornucopia of masterful dishes. Finally, we ended with sharing the Flourless Chocolate Torte (a la mode)-- a lovely, perfect way to end this perfect meal. Rarely do ALL the elements of a meal come together. Amazing, warm service with knowledgeable staff, and every single dish, every single bite was unforgettable. My highest recommendation I have given in quite some time-- what a treat indeed!

We tried them at Mountain Cowboy, LOVE the drinks and atmosphere of this local hangout...but sadly, haven't loved any of the food trucks we have tried. This was a last minute, let's go try it before they closed for a special event. I had the lobster roll plate, my husband the brat. First it was very disappointing to see hardly any food for what we just paid. Barely 3 bites of coleslaw, it was good, but hardly got any. Dill spears were limp and almost mushy, and a bag of chips. The lobster roll was cold, like VERY. Maybe it was supposed to be cold, I have had a roll from another truck it was not cold. I think room temp would have been ok, but it was a shock to bite into something that cold. Like I said, large chunks of meat, but overall such a small roll that tasted ok. While my husband said the brat was good, again, just so sadly small and IMO grossly under portioned, especially when I think of what we could have had elsewhere for the about same amount of money. I was not looking for plates piled high with food, but at least had a decent amount, again...for the price, $22 was rather steep for what did end up on the plate.

Decided to try something new and took my father-in-law there for his birthday. We had reservations for 6:30pm and as we arrived, a large bus full of 50 college hockey players also arrived. It took us over 30 minutes to have somebody take our drink order and another 15 minutes for those drinks to arrive. We were seated with a happy hour menu, which was over and I had to ask the bartender for a drink menu and wine list. My water glass was very dirty and nobody ever came by the table in 90 minutes to refill our water. We were seated right next to the bar too. We were continually informed by our waitress and a barback that things were slow due to the large party in the other room. After 90 minutes passed and we still had not received our food, we asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to our table, she did not introduce herself, so we had to assume she was the manager. Rather than own the mistake, she proceeded to throw our waitress under the bus. Our waitress was great and doing the best she could, but the restaurant was severely understaffed. They offered us free bread. We finally decided to get up and walk out and leave without being served our food. The manager chased us out the front door to bring our food in to-go boxes and as we were leaving, the entire hockey team was also leaving and getting back on their bus. So in the time we arrived for our reservation and after 90 minutes without being served, they came, ate and left. We were told this was a learning moment for her waitress, however, should be a learning moment for management to staff appropriately or just close the restaurant down to feed 50+ hockey team members. We won't be back!
