Horrible tacos! Over cooked, burnt steak, dry tacos. I went through the drive through with hopes of taco ecstasy. This did not happen. I was given meat that should have been discarded. The Chorizo on the other hand was full of flavor. You have the option of getting tacos served with onion and cilantro. I ordered my food about 45 minutes ago. I got the text that it was in the locker. As I went to the locker to get my delicious tacos (it was my 4th time ordering from here, since it is the only walkable place from my office), I got an error and the locker wouldn't open. I yelled that my locker wouldn't open... then some guy came out to hand deliver food to another customer and I said to him: sir, my locker won't open. I can't get my food. Then he mumbled something and told me to check my order on a tablet that was on the other side of the room, and he went back inside. Checking my order was lame and useless. That's why I had a receipt and a couple of texts. One that it would take a certain amount of time to get my food, and the other was the link to open the locker. Then I peeked over the curtain, and saw a man walking down a ramp. I told him the locker for my food wouldn't open, and he did NOTHING. So I had to go back to work empty handed. Was charged $15 too. I have no food with me, and I think just that, the lack of customer service is lame. I'd rather just trap a pigeon and eat it like a savage wild child that was raised by wolf in the wild of Nebraska. If no one will help, I'd say this place is lame. I bought food. Locker wouldn't open. No one helped. I am out $15. I think I'll just eat some Cheetos from the vending machine. Tried this place out for the first time recently and I love that they have carnitas and not just Al pastor (I prefer pork without the sauce). The taco dinners we got were really good. The rice is delicious with the veggies in it (especially the potatoes). We ordered thru a 3rd party app and it was very fast delivery. I think it might have just been so late it was the very end of the night and they ran out of tamales because they gave us an extra taco instead but it was still really good lol the elotes were also very yummy. Very convenient location to us as well. Can't wait to try more! read more

I've been to this place twice. The first time we went it was really phenomenal. Today, though, was completely the opposite. And of course, we didn't realize it until we got home to eat. We ordered 3 carne asada, 1 tongue and 1 carnita taco. We ended up with 5 dry, flavorless "steak" and 1 chicken taco. The steak was grayish colored with zero flavor at all. Most of the taco was onions. The middle taco was maybe half filled to the degree that we thought they'd forgotten it. We didn't eat them after a few bites. And the chicken one tasted just like the bland steak tacos. The street corn was inedible. I hope just a bad day but this was really one of the worst tacos I've ever had. read more

This is a food truck that is typically stationed along route 31 in South Elgin. For this review, I found them in our local subdivision on a cold November night during COVID. Everyone in the truck was wearing masks. They have a pretty vast menu, which is appreciated, particularly for a old truck. It appears the food is cooked to order, as it took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. That's not a problem, just be prepared accordingly. Don't necessarily expect fast food timing. They seemed to be taking care with each order. I ordered the Mexican style tilapia tacos with beans, rice, and elote corn. The tacos were delicious, and the beans were a little unusual and sadly cold. Given that it was about 35 degrees out, I'll give them a slight break on the beans. Even cold though, their bean concoction was tasty. Rice was nothing special, but ok. The real star of the show was the Mexican Street Corn. It was warm, delicious and generously loaded with toppings. I've been wanting to try this for months! We finally did and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered a little bit of everything: Ceviche- holy hell amazing and lots of it (medium size soft drink cup is what it comes in) Tacos- freshly made as it took about 10 min for our whole order to be done and tons more meat than local competitors! Mexican street corn- this was my favorite and probably one of the best I had. It wasn't doused in Mayo and had a little kick- perfect! Lastly, the prices are unbeatable. I walked trying to find them last friday in the rain, there was no such address, no food truck. What's funny is I was going to order through my uber eats my order was a steak nacho, jabirito tacos, and a horchata drink, this came to $37.99 on uber eats the reason why? I hopped on the bus and walked in the rain to get it my self in person. This is the reason for the bad review, I didn't see anything except a ghost kitchen, how do I know it's a ghost kitchen? I was looking for the wendy's in the neighborhood, and I found this building on 25th & wabash that the doordash and uber eats drivers pick your ordrrs up from, I saw it and my brother did to in our car, I live on 21fst & michigan avenue very close so that is how I know.
