Good cookies. The pricing is a bit high considering the additional tipping expectation. But it's just between a bit expensive and unjustifiably high. Sometimes there are weeks where they have pretty odd flavors, so you just have to plan around when there's something interesting. The service is great. Got 3 choc chip and a double choc for like $25. Compared to Amish cookies Crumbl is TRASH. It's dough tastes weird AF, and I'm surprised yet not so surprised that status quo people think this place is any good at all. HOT TRASH disgusting, not made with love and blessed by God. We noticed there wasn't a line out the door and decided to stop by Crumbl. The staff were friendly but didn't seem knowledgeable about the flavors which was disappointing as there were a number of first time customers. I made my choice based on name and look. I appreciated the difference in cold and warm cookies and that they were nicely decorated. The cookies were all heavy and looked and tasted underbaked. This theory of being underbaked seemed to be confirmed when I compared them to the photos posted by the store. Of the four we tried, lemon, fried ice cream, chocolate chip and old fashioned, the best was the lemon and that was due to the slightly sweet, slightly tart icing. The doughs were not that flavorful, except for a vague hint of spice. I would be willing to try them again but not sure I would know if the cookie was underbaked before purchase so I will likely not, especially for the price. read more

Heard all the hype about this place before it opened and stopped in while passing by. It's located in the strip mall alongside the South Elgin Jewel. It was a Saturday just after noon. There was no line to get in and plenty of workers busily preparing cookies in the back. There was some confusion as we entered, with a kiosk up front for self service ordering. However, you can also just walk right up to the counter and order. We stood in line at the self service kiosk for several minutes before a worked motioned for us to come forward to the counter. The place only holds about 10 customers tops, so that's why there is often a line out the front. We ordered the 4-pack, which included the lemonade, chocolate chip, old fashioned, and fried ice cream. They definitely score high on presentation. The cookies look great. However, they seemed a bit too doughy for my taste. For the price, I probably won't be back. I can understand how others may like this type of rich, decadent cookie. I would prefer a good old fashioned Mrs. Fields over these. Pro tip: get their smaller cookies for a taste before buying the full size ones. read more
