I demo'd skis from the Incline Ski & Board shop from the Aspen location for 3 days, which has the perfect location just steps from the Aspen base gondola. The staff at the shop, led by Tim and Dan, were all awesome to work with and knew their stuff. I tested 3 different skis on my first day to hone in on a favorite, all different brands and sizes. The guys were encouraging about trying different brands. They were also cool about me leaving my backpack with shoes in the store for the day. I skied at Snowmass on the final day and was able to drop off the skies at that that location and store my backpack for that day. Price was in line with other rental shops in the area. With Incline, you get a "local shop" feel with perfect location around the same price...and maybe a beer at the end if you're nice! read more

The employee were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They have 2 locations which makes it very convenient to leave your skis overnight. I rented demos and they were happy to switch them out if I wanted or to accommodate snow conditions. Tom was very personable and made us feel welcome and listened to what we wanted. We've been going to Snowmass for almost 35 years and have been renting from Incline in the Snowmass Mall since the beginning. We ski for only a week each year and really want quality equipment and service, since it's our only skiing for the year. The Incline team are the absolute best and we are greeted every year like family. Every person who has helped us is knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. We reserve our skis on their web form every year prior to arriving and get a discount doing it this way. When we arrive, they know we're coming, and they have it all organized; the whole process is quick and easy and we are out on the slopes in no time. I recommend renting their Demo package if you're serious about good equipment and comfort. Sometimes we want to change boots or skis depending on conditions or feel, and the Incline team is great in making adjustments and getting us in new equipment. My husband and I made it to Aspen after a very long flight delay, only to learn that our luggage was lost. We were sure that we wouldn't be able to ski the next morning, as all of our gear was in our luggage. This is where Johnny from Incline Ski Shop entered the equation and saved our entire weekend vacation. He opened up Incline Ski Shop after hours at 9pm for us and helped us find excellent equipment, that was all reasonably priced. He really turned around a lousy situation for us and made it fun! Highly recommended for any fans of foot pain and orthopedic surgery. Look, everyone was nice and the shop pooch was an excellent touch. But. When you buy footwear, they come with cheap-yet-serviceable insole pads. Or you could rent from here, where some jabroni has gone through the trouble of removing those out of all their boots. They won't tell you this unless you ask, nor do they even sell insoles--which would be a logical if reprehensible choice. Nope, someone there just likes their boots without support, which is absolutely great because it'll make it more unpleasant for them to go kick rocks. read more

My wife and I were in town for a work trip and decided to ski last minute. The guys at the shop did an awesome job helping us clueless ones out as we had not done any research prior, let alone skiing in the past 18 years. We got fitted and our equipment reserved for pickup the next morning within maybe 10-15 minutes. They gave us plenty of tips and pointers that really helped our ski experience the next day. Pickup and drop off of the equipment was super easy. Thanks for playing a key part in the success of our trip!!! We enjoyed our equipment the next day and felt that it was good quality and in great working order. They were also taking proper Covid precautions...except for maybe the ridiculously cute shop dog that enjoys attention. I would highly recommend and trust Incline Ski. read more

I stayed at the Crestwood Condominiums and have for years. Every year I typically have a great experience. This year we had went to get the boys skis rentals at the Incline ski shop onsite and our reservation clearly had a 2pm pick up/sizing for the next day rentals. We booked our dinner reservations around this and to our surprise met Taylor who claimed to be the manger of the shop. Taylor was the rudest to our family in front of the boys. They had two people they were assisting taking off boots when Taylor informed us that 2pm was incorrect and we had to come back at 4:30 PM (note now there is no one in the shop and they just got back from lunch as the rental shop is closed from 11am to 2pm. Taylor became extremely rude in front of my entire family when i mentioned no one was in the shop and he told me he would not help me and the resort and confirmation did not matter as he would no logger help us as he only does fittings after 4:30 and to come back at 4:30. Note we called days in advance and asked about getting the rentals on Sunday as we had lessons for boys first thing Monday and when we called the Snowmass village shop they immediately apologized for the interaction as we traveled to the other location to get the boys fitted which the kind folks took care of us in less than 15 minutes and were top notch. This is the service i expected as i have rented from Incline for years and never had such a rude experience as Taylor as my kids were afraid of this man on our vacation. I had to discuss this rude behavior as it was embarrassing that this had to happen. Taylor was the bad apple as everyone else created and corrected the bad experience Taylor created. I would recommend ensuring Taylor is not the representative of the company as he clearly does not have a customer focus. Date of experience: January 2024 read more

Plenty of mountain advice between the 2 locations, picked up last years demos at 1 and switched out at the other in 3 minutes, and was helped to save some dough on a gator, getting the right one instead of just the most expensive. We can't say enough great things about the staff of Incline. While we did have a hard time tracking down skis over 180", the staff and store accessibility was awesome. We rented ski/board in Aspen, I had my board bindings adjusted at the Snowmass location, and since we decided to do two days in a row as Snowmass, we were able to leave our rentals at the store there! The other little feature we loved was having a cubby to store our belongings in at Incline while we skied. Eliminated locker costs, and an extra trip. read more

Undesirable, Best place to go for ski storage or rental in Aspen . Super efficient and friendly. We are loyal clients of 28 years !!

First of all, I own skis, both all-mountain and powder skis, but from time to time, I like to Demo skis, especially if I'm in a great resort with various conditions like Aspen. And I'm usually with people that don't own and need to rent skis, so I end up at a lot of ski shops. Having visited many of them, Incline is the Best Ski Shop in Aspen, without question. In my mind, they have three main competitors, who are also good in their own right, but for me, Incline has the edge for a few main reasons, which I'll mention later. Here's the Pros & Cons of the other ski shops, in my opinion: Christy Sports- good for basic rentals and lower pricing, but demo selection isn't great and they get super busy. Hamilton- great boutique ski shop, but demo selection could be better and they don't have a Snowmass location. Ski Butlers- very convenient as they bring skis/boots to where you're staying, but I like to have a shop at the base of the mountain if I want to change out skis, or if there's a problem. And, I personally like going into a ski shop to check out all the new equipment and having the ability to ask questions about it. Incline is the Best for three reasons, in my opinion: 1. Base Location- at the base of Aspen (Ajax) and at the base of Snowmass, so you can change out skis if you like, or if there's a problem they're right there, so you don't cut into your ski time that much. 2. Two Locations- have locations at Aspen and Snowmass, so you can pick-up at one and drop-off at the other. This is great for me cause on the last day of my trip, I can ski half-day in Snowmass, drop-off skis there, drive to Denver and still make a 7pm flight back to NYC. If I had to drive back to Aspen, it's in the opposite direction of Denver, so I'd lose 45 minutes with the round trip. 3. Best Selection of Skis & Demos- have an excellent selection of skis, specifically premium brands that other shops never seem to carry or demo, like Volkl & Blizzard, which I own and ski the most. And of course, they have an expert staff working there and will get you in and out of the shop super-fast, but honestly, as this is Aspen, I think the other shops have great staffs as well. So overall, as you can see, I think Incline is the Best Ski Shop in Aspen. read more

Great friendly service! Our family rented bikes, and went a little further than we should've on our ride and struggled on our return as we were tired! The Aspen shop seemed busy, yet they had us in and out in no time, so no lost time on the slopes!! They provided excellent service and met us with a smile every time we walked in. Their shop also has a great extended store, in case anyone forgets sunscreen/goggles/socks/apparel and offer very fair prices. I will go back to Incline every time I ski Aspen. They are also conveniently located in both Aspen and Snowmass which is fantastic if you want to ski multiple mountains. I store my skis and boots here each day after skiing. If you hate walking around in ski boots and lugging equipment around town, these are the guys.. Scotty and crew take very good care of their customers and have for 20 years and at a reasonable rate. It's nice to have these guys so close to the gondola and near Starbucks too.
