We brought our own pedals shoes and helmets but they have all that you need if you don't! The guys did everything! Even got my hubby a mount for his wahoo device! They offer coffee, water, beer, ice cream...probably more, but that's what I remember! One of the guys actually went out with us to the bike trail so we wouldn't get lost! So nice! I have been skiing my whole life and have had Crested Butte on my list to ski for some time. I am glad that I finally made my way over here to ski their slopes. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is owned and operated by Vail Resorts. My buddy and I have Epic Passes and chose to ski here this past winter. This resort is geared toward intermediate to expert skiers as there are lots of blue and black runs. Overall, we had good snow and a fun weekend. We started our day off by taking Red Lady Express Lift from Base Area. We spent a lot of our time hitting the intermediate runs off of Paradise Express Lift. We eventually hit some black runs off of Silver Queen Express Lift. We didn't do it, but Rambo run is the steepest tree-defined ski trail in North America with a 55-degree pitch. That run looks insane. Crested Butte Mountain Resort opened in 1960. We stayed in town near the base of the resort and had a lot of fun. We were able to walk to the lift from our hotel. Crested Butte is a former coal mining town that is a popular tourist destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Mount Crested Butte is in the heart of the Elk Mountains and sits over 9,000 feet above sea level. The town is named after its iconic 12,168-foot mountain peak. You can see the peak while you ski from almost anywhere on the mountain.

Crested Butte Resort is an awesome skiing destination. But even if you're not an "advanced expert," then there are still plenty of runs that you can take it easy on... or that will push you to keep on learning and getting better! There…read morewas not a lot of snow at the Snowmass base village (or anywhere in the Western part of the USA) so I was skeptical about booking, but our hotel Concierge at the Limelight Resort Snowmass assured me we would have fun. He was correct! I also spoke to Christine at Western Adventures about any gear we might need. She is delightful and so helpful as everyone is with this company. There was plenty of snow way up in the mountains where the snowmobiles trails are. The views were breathtaking. Kim, our guide, treated us like family. She told us some interesting historical facts about the neighborhood as we drove up into the mountains where the snowmobiles are parked. We enjoyed taking advantage of their hot coco/refreshment hut located in the area where you can cut loose and have some free time driving your snowmobile. Thank you, Kim, and Western Adventures for making this a great family experience.

High Society Freeride, STAT!…read more Listen up peeps, if you're in the market for a solid and reasonably priced inflatable paddle board...look no further. High Society Freeride stand up paddle boards (SUP's) are da BEST! We got a couple of Northstar SUP's about three years ago...it was a BOGO so we jumped on them and couldn't be happier! Each of these babies came fully equipped with a paddle, rear fin, ankle leash, repair kit, hand pump and a convenient storage backpack. NOTE: Ours are not the newest "Northstar 2" version...so upgrades include 2-piece collapsible aluminum paddles, new 7" center fin and one smaller 4.5" composite river fin with new "Quick-Clip" attachments. Also, they've upgraded the travel & storage backpack with reinforced stitching and plush padded straps. All that being said...ours still ROCK! We love them, conveniently put them in the back of our vehicle and have taken them on so many fun adventures! Overall these SUP's are made extremely well for the price and High Society Freeride always offers super awesome deals! So awesome that they get swamped with orders!
