Maddy is a WONDERFUL teacher who really teaches you how to create a stained glass work of art from start to finish. She will teach you how to cut, grind, foil, solder and in the end you will love your new original piece of art. After taking the beginner class earlier this year I immediately fell in love with the process and decided for my birthday I would have a crafternoon with the gals! Maddy allowed me to book a private session, she gave me input on design choices, offered snack and drink and even decorated! It was such an amazing day spent with great friends in a super cute place. The studio is just a vibe, I really love it. In every nook and cranny is an interesting or just beautiful decoration or work of art. I just want to hang out in there and read or play a game which I'm pretty sure is encouraged! Within the studio you can find East Coast Trading Co. that offers delicious tea and coffee which you can enjoy for free during your class! In addition to the traditional stained glass classes, Maddy also offers date night options where a bit of the work is already done for you so that you and a guest can get right down to business! We paid $75 for a two hour block where we were able to spin our clay with instructions, decorate and paint. They also have open studio for $25 and you can come in and spin your clay and decorate on your own without instruction. You can pick up your creation in about 3 weeks. Margot hand painted manatee designs for each card(to go with the under the sea themed party I through). Each of my friends loved their cards. This made me want to use her again later when I saw she did calligraphy letters to Santa that she would mail out. I purchased 4 letters to mail to the children in my life. It was a fun surprise for them. She even created an extra personalized note for one of the kids I told her celebrated both Hannukah and Christmas.
