From that time is was 35 minutes to arrival, but shortly after the 20 - 50 minute estimate, the provider called me to give me a more precise time which exactly matched their actual arrival time. The provider was fast, efficient, friendly and the service call was free with the Subaru new car warranty coverage. So my cost was $0 plus the optional tip (which I was able to do seamlessly on Venmo). So, in total, this was an equal or better experience than any other service call I have previously utilized with other vehicles.

Last night while driving my CV shaft broke. I called my insurance company progressive for roadside…read moreassistance and they sent a guy from Pascarella's Towing Service. The guy gets there and I showed him where my car was. He immediately gets back in his truck and gets on his phone. 5 mins later he gets out his car and says I cancelled your roadside call. I asked Why and he said because he wouldn't be able to get the car on the bed. Now having experience working with cars I knew this wasn't true. I said to him yes you can I have done this before and you didn't even make an effort to try. He responded with " yea I just don't feel like dealing with the hassle". I was very shocked at his response. It took about an hour for the other tow truck to arrive and when it did he got it on the bed with no problem. I told the new tow truck driver what had happen and he said that he knew the guy because he used to work for Pascarella's and called him while driving me to the shop where my car would be repaired. The first tow truck guy who name is Tim answered the phone not knowing that he was on speaker and that I was in the car. The guy asked Tim why did he just cancel the call like that and he responded " fuck that customer". I feel I was discriminated against. I feel if I was a white women that he wouldn't have left me in the cold to wait for another tow truck simply because he didn't feel like doing it. There's no other reasoning I could think of for this but racism. I didn't know the guy nor did we even get into any argument. This guy has been towing cars for over 20 years so he knew how to do it.
