Whenever a new coffee/wine place comes to town, I'm there, so I was looking forward to discovering Indah Coffee. I stopped in around 5:45 on my way home from work. There was a handful of people there. As I sat at the bar, the bartender was pouring beer for the people next to me. Afterward, she continued to talk with the customers. I understood that and just waited patiently for my turn. It never happened. She walked away and started talking in a group with other employees. The cashier at the coffee register saw me, but didn't make any moves toward getting someone to help me. After 15 minutes, I left. I commented as such on Facebook and a couple of posters actually tried to blame me, saying I had an invisibility cloak on and that I needed to love like I've never been hurt. WTF? I'm not used to this type of "service". Most places acknowledge a person when they walk in the door. I don't usually give bad reviews. In fact, I believe this is only my second. Definite THUMBS DOWN for this place. Service is everything. read more

I love this place but I am acutely aware of their lack of things to snack on. There are bagels and cinnamon rolls and don't get me wrong, I love a good bagel. But not when I've already eaten something and really I just want a bite with my coffee because I'm stressed and I want to put solid things that taste good in my mouth. Then I just want a small thing, you know? Like a scone or a biscuit or a macaroon or those tiny little muffin things, those are cute. Great coffee, delicious toast! My go-to drink is the Thai coffee with cinnamon and coconut milk and it is sooo good! Also love the avocado toast. Kids love the chocolate chunk cookies. Plenty of table space and seats, but wouldn't mind some cozier seating. read more

Indah is a newish coffee shop that shares a space with he barber shop Circa. Drinks are limited, though there are many flavors. The New Yorker in me squealed when they told me they have Oat milk. So of the times, I thought. The lavender honey latte is good, not great. But their coconut matcha latte was actually impressive. Skip the pastries, they're pretty stale and inedible. It's actually pretty tragic. Also, if you're prone to the cold, skip this place--the AC is out of control. Finally, their WIFI never works. So if you're in need of work...yep, SKIP! read more

It's a desolate coffee shop in an abandoned area. The coffee was really good, the bagels were old but I was hungry so I ate them anyway. The folks who work here are nice and serious, there's a counter on the left hand side and scattered tables. They had a few other edibles that looked like museum pieces under glass. If you live here come here and if you don't, don't. I mean the coffee is good but as far as having breakfast go elsewhere. read more

Ordered an iced latte with almond milk - was served a hot one. Not one to complain and have another one made so I just dealt with it. That in itself is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, staff was pleasant and inside was cool. Bathrooms were clean, no complaints. Latte was good - still learning to deal with flavor of almond milk as I'm lactose intolerant...but it wasn't a pain to drink. Spent about 4 hours and didn't receive any sign of a "get out of here." One of my two favorite coffee shops in town. Their espresso is good quality, and so is their almond milk. It's also unsweetened. Foamy almond milk lattes - come here. Its more of a strong, bitter taste for a latte (in a good, strong coffee way). It's a no-frills shop which I like. They do have some interesting flavors (lavender etc) and they have beers on tap. They have a really good black ginger peach tea. Yum. Normally I don't like black tea but whatever brand they carry has a nice flavor. I like that whoever is working will fully brew the tea for you before bringing it out so that you don't have to worry about it. I saw that people were complaining about the pastries... I never noticed them being stale? But they carry a vegan cinnamon bun from some bakery around town which is the only one I ever get if they have any left. That ones definitely all right... guess I can't comment on the others. It's one of the only coffee shops that has vegan/gluten free pastries sometimes, so I appreciate that. Definitely bring a sweatshirt if you're going to hang out for a while. They have that industrial AC going so it gets real cold. read more

The location is a little out of the way, but it's worth the trip. They roast their own beans in the back of the shop. I had an Americano, which was nice but about what I expected. The ambience is what makes this place special. There were lots of people around working on laptops and having conversations. It's warm and inviting, and I'll be back. read more

Great place to go and relax for a great cup of Java. The service was great and lots of smiles. The owner gave us a tour of the place then we sat down and had a real experience with a great cup of coffee. I personally would cut the music down a little, but it still was not bothersome to anyone as I could see. So if you are in the area of downtown close to Sumter and Elmwood give this place a try. I was a little skeptical driving up to the place, but it was actually amazing. Plenty of parking (which seems to be a rarity anymore), friendly service, delicious food, plenty of seating, and spacious interior. Even have beer on tap later in the day! The coffee was delicious and I highly recommend Indah to all coffee lovers. If they supplied copies of the Free Times, I'd be camped out here all morning. Also, if they happen to have the apple cheddar scones when you get there, you have to try them! I enjoy the coffee and location, but twice I've come here to work via wifi and twice I've been blasted out by the air conditioning vents above the tables (especially near the wall and outlets!) blowing at a high velocity AND the irritating music that remains too loud and lacking a calm vibe.
