This cute little house of a coffee shop is just what I needed today!!! You can enjoy the outside porch or sit inside. We chose to sit inside where it was cool! Either way it was really a cool vibe! It's spacious enough to find a little nook to work in. We ordered the Turkey Provolone on a Croissant, Croissant with Peach Preserves, Iced Cookie Butter Latte with Almond Milk, and a Chai Tea Latte. All of which were delicious!! The croissants were soft and buttery and peach preserves were the business!! I wish I could have purchased some to bring back home with me!! The service was good no complaints!

Good coffee and food with a nice seasonal menu. Wish there were more outlets for sitting and studying.

KP is FINALLY in here! This has been my go to coffee shop in Rock Hill for years so it's such a blessing to have them in Columbia. They roast their own coffee and have direct relationships with their providers and as if that wasn't enough, they make their own baked goods!! This downtown location across the street from USC Law is a totally vibe. You have indoor seating with cozy couches and love seats as well as tables to get your work done. There's also outdoor seating on the wrap around porch if that's your thing. The staff is always friendly and ready to serve. Whether you're a regular or a first time guest, they treat you like family and provide recommendations for their menu items. So if you need a dope new spot to get some work done, catch up on some reading or have a meeting, you DEFINITELY gotta check this place out.

I've been here a few times now whenever I'm in town for business. Finally saw the article on their board about it being a former funeral home. Explains the huge space they have and the overall layout of the coffee shop. I've only ever been here during the mornings and week. Not sure how busy they get. Decent cold brew, but not the strongest. They have a few pastry options, but not the best.

A book, coffee, and breakfast!!!

This place is awesome! I have been there a bunch - love the coffee and food. The chopped Breakfast bagel is fantastic.

I spent a quick night across the way at a hotel and wanted to check out this shop nearby. It was crazy to see this coffee shop in an old house. I love the cozy areas and thought it would be a great place to study. The coffee was delicious! I got the seasonal tropical Christmas latte and was pleased to see that they use Monin syrups. Would definitely recommend if you are in the downtown Columbia area!

A very interesting and cool place! One cup of black coffee was a little expensive, but it's a cool atmosphere. It seems like a great place to study and meet with friends in a relaxed setting.

This new coffee spot is located in a former funeral home, so the vibes are a bit... spooky. The house itself has a lot of character, from the stained glass windows to the hardwood floors and ceiling panels. The spiced apple cider is a new fall addition and has to be one of the juiciest ciders I've had. Most other places tend to overwhelm with cinnamon, but this one only offers a hint of it to bolster the apple flavor. Unfortunately, the pour over coffee was a bit meh and unmemorable. What I did find lacking was the customer service. The two working up front could not be less thrilled to be working. Granted, it was still a bit early, but what I enjoy about coffee shops is the buzzy atmosphere, and this one didn't give me the same warm fuzziness. Might be back to try other fall flavors though!

Past this new coffee shop a few times this week I couldn't wait to try it. So we decided to go in for coffee and pastries for breakfast. I love the feel of how they gave this native Columbia property a fresh new look. Everything was decorated beautifully. Customer service was exceptional and the barista was very informative. Brown we got a brown sugar shaker and a honey bear. Both were extremely exceptional. We also got a sausage, egg and cheese empanada, which was delicious!

I loved their selection of South Carolina hats, artworks, household items, clothing, etc. Also, as a philatelist, (one who loves mail) this is one of the few places in Columbia to buy postcards (and they're affordable as well!) They also had a lot of cool Carolina and Clemson merchandise, as well as items that highlight the history of the state of South Carolina. All-in-all, it was a great store, and my only complaint is that it's not its own standalone location! Would highly recommend!

Cotton Mill Exchange is often thought of as the gift shop located within the South Carolina State…read moreMuseum. However, it's really more than that. It doesn't just handle museum related items and souvenirs. Its inventory is related to everything of the entire State of South Carolina. As they state, they've "...explored every corner of the state to bring you the best of South Carolina," and from what I've seen they have done that and then some. It's a really big store and has most everything one can think of that would be South Carolina related and most of the goods are of superior quality, not just cheap Chinese built trinkets. But the best part is the selection. They have everything from jewelry to clothing to home decorator items and the staff is more than willing to assist. It's really one of the better shops I've seen within or a part of any public museum.
