Came here on a Friday afternoon for the winery. I walked casually through the farm store and into…read morethe winery. There were about 6 patrons inside there chatting over the drinks. I stood at the bar for a few minutes when I realized no one was coming so I went back to the front end to get some help. She sent someone right over. I ended up grabbing a flight because that's the best way to try wine at a winery you've never been to before. I decided to have my drinks outside on the porch patio. Walked outside and there about 15 people out there. I was wondering where everyone was based on how many cars were parked out front. They also have patio on the grass. Both have beautiful views of their winery. The pours for the flight were large, certainly more than a 2.5 oz pour however it just meant I needed to stay a little longer to finish and get right for the drive home. I think the flights may be more appropriate for sharing but either way no regrets here. The wine (well 3 out of 4) were delicious. I was not a fan of the Sunset Red it's their red blend and it smelled nothing like it tasted. I won't tell you what I think it smelled like because wine is a bit subjective unless you're a sommelier. That being said the boxcar red was much better and I think my fave I tried was the River Valley Riesling. Nice and crisp for the hot summer day. They have a gazebo outside and some tables and chairs with umbrellas for shade. A full outdoor bar seating area under a roof overlooking the winery and the occasional train. The ambience could have been perfect but they hang their dirty rags and towels on the porch to dry out. I think a little clothes line on the side of the building would work out well for this instead. There was also an umbrella and some other random items laying on the porch floor right near me. On my way out I asked about ingredients in one of their gluten free cakes, it's from Walmart. Now don't get wrong, I love having gluten free options but I was very surprised when they told me it's a Walmart cake. Just skip the gluten free treats and get the potato salad. It was fire and I would totally come back for that regardless if it's made in house or not. The workers were friendly and willing to help. I'll be back for another flight soon!

Lebanon Green Vineyards was our second stop of the day and my favorite. They have a great grassy area with several tables, all of which had umbrellas which is nice, as I'd always like the option of having shade, especially on the hot days we've had this summer. They also had live music just starting as we arrived. We ordered a bottle of Wayland Rose, some Cato Corner cheese, and some wine crackers. They brought everything to our table for us. A nice chilled bottle of wine, in a chiller bucket, the cheese came with a cutting board, a sharp knife, and some napkins. Most wineries just hand you the cheese and a plastic knife if you're lucky. The hospitality at Lebanon Green Vineyards was amazing, I appreciate all the little touches that make it such a nice overall experience. When we didn't finish our bottle, they brought a stopper over for us, and brought our bill right to our table. We didn't have a lot of time to spend there the day we went, but I am looking forward to going there again as a destination and spending the afternoon there. It seems like they have music pretty regularly on the weekends. You can bring your own food with you as well.

Yes, a random…read morepopcorn machine is not traditional farm machinery, but it looks like a house that became a winery and if not for the sign and other cars parked, I may have had an anxiety attack. The tasting room is rather small on the back-right of the property, and lots of tables with umbrellas outside to sit and enjoy the music and/or talk with your friends. I tried the shot and scoop (a cup of ice cream with their blueberry dessert wine), which had a choice of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. A word of caution - stir your ice cream before they pour, otherwise it will overflow the cup. It was delicious though, even on a cold day. The only downside was the baristas are all over you. We were asked at least five times if we were there for a tasting or a glass before we had a chance to really absorb the menu. We chose to sit as far from the tasting room as possible so we could chat and enjoy our glass (and please keep in mind, there were may three other tables with people so it's not like space was at a premium) and they came over 2-3 times to see if there was anything else we wanted to order. The tight polite smile and declining their assistance was not sufficient to deter their intrusions. They were nice, please don't miss understand, just persistent with a force you normally see of people working on commission, and hey, maybe they were. I would definitely come back because the wine was good and it's a pretty location, but I'd be prepared with a more authoritative "No, I will come to you when I want to order more".

The only vineyard in the area worth visiting!…read more The couple who owns this place are so nice and do a great tasting, explaining the history behind each bottle and their farm. The wines were all good- we bought a couple bottles plus slushees after the tasting and stayed a while. I am not usually a fan of the slushees but theirs are legitimately good! They don't have a big indoor area, plenty of space outside but inside is minimal- would like to see them expand it. Honestly would come back in a heart beat if in the area, it's just very far from us and the other wineries out that was are atrocious so not sure when we would be back.

There is seating upstairs on the top of a long and winding staircase. I personally enjoyed the Hillyland (the off-dry white) and it's very rare I can actually finish a glass of wine, I able to finish this one. My favorite was the Mardi Gras White, which was a little heavy but bright and "bouncy", I could definitely see it sipping it while partying down Bourbon Street. The hosts, who happened to be the owners, were fun and talkative, and provided interesting conversation and background information on the wine and winery.

Beyond just casual visits, we've even rented Cassidy Hill for our wedding rehearsal, and it was absolutely perfect--intimate, welcoming, and just the right setting to celebrate with friends and family. We were missing the wine slushies that they usually offer during the hotter months of the year. Coming here during October the weather was beautiful to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The landscape provided us a nice puppy surprise but other than that it was nice day to be outside taking photos and drinking some great wine!
