I'm a bit conflicted writing this review because the two young men were amazing and did a great job. However, I really feel like I was scammed and should have rejected their offer to "fix" the corrosion for $5,300, plus the flat fee of $695 to dig and inspect, plus the fee for the escrow certificate I needed to sell the property and close escrow ($6k plus!!!!). So they pretty much have you by the *alls. I negotiated the work for $4,500 and guess what, they finished in one hour!!!!! I was under the impression is was an all day job, how the heck do you charge $4,500 (after negotiating) for a total of 2 1/2 hours of work? They already knew they "WERE GOING TO HAVE TO FIX" something before they started, because as soon as they dug up the hole the big truck showed up to "pump" empty the tanks so they can make the repairs. Honestly I don't think it needed repairs and I simply got scammed out of $4,500. I long for the day when men were honest and not greedy...to make matters worst I thought I was working with Riverside Septic Pumping, now they have a 5 STAR rating...call them. Very unreliable. Had appt at 12:00noon did not show up or call, I called at 12:18pm, he said they're first appt took longer then expected, they should be able to be at my house by 2:30pm god willing. Like if we don't have things to do but wait for them to show up, called another company Riverside pumping same guy cancelled appt. Don't waste your time calling this company. I was assigned Independent Pumping through American Home Shield for septic tank service. Overall, the experience was mixed. The good: the two technicians who came out were polite, professional, and did a solid job. I appreciated their attitude and effort. But the company's scheduling and communication were seriously disappointing. We originally scheduled the service for the morning, but they kept delaying it without notifying me. I had to constantly reach out to them just to get any updates. Worse yet, their phone never connects to a real person--it always goes to voicemail or a message telling you to text. When you do send a text, they don't respond right away. Sometimes you're left waiting for a long time without any clear answer. They finally said they'd come at 1 PM, but didn't arrive until almost 2. The field team was great, but the company's customer service, punctuality, and scheduling management need serious improvement. read more

I contacted them on New Year's Eve morning. They prefer texting but I also called them. They said that they could pump the overflowing septic tank between 2pm and 3pm that day for $375. At 2:30 they called to say the truck broke down and they couldn't be there that day. I asked about the next day (New Year's Day) via text she said she would check. No one responded to phone calls or texts on New Year's Day. Apparently not 24/7 service. Since they didn't return my texts and calls on January 1st, I contacted them again on January 2nd and they sent someone out. The driver called and said the charge would be $695 because digging was a flat fee. I told him to wait, I didn't know about the flat fee. He said he already dug it up and pumped the tank. I contacted the owner, I hadn't approved the additional charge. She also confirmed the flat fee for digging was $320.00. She said it didn't matter if it was an hour or ten hours of digging. She dropped the total price to $575.00 and said the driver was waiting for her to call him back. When I asked why, she laughing said if we couldn't come to agreement I guess he'll have to pump it back into the tank. So after negotiating the price, we paid $200 for less than 20 min of digging with a shovel. So the drivers make good money for charging the customer to dig. read more

This company came out to jet my leach lines and camera inspect them. Two guys showed up to jet the lines, I stepped away for 30min came back and they were packing up to leave. The main guy told me they jetted the lines and ran the camera and there was a blockage. I could see the camera tool sitting on the side completely dry, no way they actually ran the camera as my lines and box were still flooded with water. They could not give me any details as I was asking them various questions as to why the lines were still flooded / backed up. I asked them if they could show me the blockage, they finally ran the camera for me showed me some roots and did not even try to clear them or the other blockage with the line jetting. They were accommodating and re tried when I asked them to however just stopped even though dirt and debris were still coming out of the lines saying there must be a line break which is where all the dirt is coming from. After they left I checked my outside cameras on my house and confirmed the guys did Not run the camera in the lines, they lied and only ran the camera after I came out and they were already packed up ready to leave telling me they ran the camera, etc... I had to pay another company come out and they properly jetted the lines and got all the debris out, the line was not collapsed or broken. One line did indeed have some roots blocking which they cleared out as well. Frustrating that this company was going to take advantage of me and do half the job and leave and they lied about what they did while I stepped away. Hopefully this company has more honest workers than those who worked at my house. Side note that after calling to complain, sounds like the two guys who came to my house told the owner that I was being difficult, etc.. which is certainly not the case and I have the entire event on my house cameras with audio. Happy to share with the owner if he needs any evidence of the dishonesty and proof that I was very respectful given the situation. The owners son who referred me to them gave me a partial refund as well but still want this to be a PSA to folks working with this company. I thought my septic was backed up, but it was actually clogged from my tenant flushing wipes and qtips. These guys got me into the schedule next day. The came out, had to FIND the septic, dig, and pump. They found the septic within a few minutes! They dug the tank and had it ready within an hour. The entire process, including the pump was maybe two hours. They also charged me way way less than the others I called had quoted. I am super impressed with the employees and this business. My dads plumbing was backed up and waste was coming up through the tub. We called to have the company come out and assess the problem. For $375 they stated they would pump the septic tank. Then after the fact I was told they couldn't get the cap off the tank therefore they only pumped the cesspool. None the less they did not fix the problem and my 75yr old dad is out $375. I called to ask if they warrantied their work in which I was told no and that the owner would call me the following day. Took advantage of my 70 year old mom and charged $840 for a mess. Our water for our plumbing was not flowing. We called Independent Pumping Group INC. They brought an excavator machine to dig my front yard to access the septic tank. There was loud scraping noises and ended up busting my water pipe. They charged me $175 for fixing what they broke. Later that same day I called Roto Rooter and they showed me that the pipe was leaking water. Independent Pumping Group also said they fully drained the septic tank but later that day Roto Rooter showed me that it was still 75% full. Independent Pumping Group charged me $840 to partially drain my septic tank and fix the pipe that they busted. I have provided the pictures that show the tank still full and the pvc pipe still leaking surrounded by mud. Save yourself a heachache and go with professional that are accountable. read more

I originally deleted my first review of the company- and regretfully so. To begin, I did use my home warranty to fulfill the service- maybe that is the distinction between myself and the other reviewers. I originally put in a request to have my septic tank pumped about three weeks ago, and this company picked up the service request and immediately texted me to let me know that they would be working with me. They gave me an appointment and I waited for them to deliver. In between the appointment and original message, I received someone else's receipt - this should have been a forewarning of the level of unprofessionalism that I was about to deal with, the person who sent the text apologized, and believe me, I do wrong texts all the time, but when it comes to sending out sensitive information (i.e, address, money owed/paid, phone numbers,etc), you have really got to do your due diligence and make sure you are being mindful and aware. Next, was the actual day they came to pump. Two guys came and located the system and indicated that it was a dig up service, according to some reviews, they did this the same day- such wasn't the case for me. Instead, they simply told me they had to do a dig up and the owner would be in touch. Yay for giving an estimated time frame and giving me peace of mind (insert eye rolling). Because this was on a Friday, I waited over the weekend and then a few more days before I decided to text and ask about a follow up - I actually waited til the next week to do this. So on Monday, I called and texted and received no response. Not until a week later I finally get a message simply stating they had a family emergency and that they were sending someone out that day to fulfill. The apology in and of itself was not sincere, it almost felt like just a shut up and just accept our unprofessionalism, but because I have never ventured down this road of dealing with a septic tank before, I just agreed to be here when he said they would arrive. I was told 12 o'clock and they never showed so I went to the store about 4 ish and noticed them sitting on my curb so I immediately rushed home to meet them. The two young boys that did the dig up were decent, they did what they had to do and then let me know they had to wait to for the other guys to pump the tank. So they left to go grab something to drink and they were gone for about an hour. Finally the truck came to complete the pump and I was told that there were roots near the system, and that they needed to be treated with acid. I then proceeded to request a quote for that to be done and the boy told me. I asked when he would be able to do it, and he told me he'd drop by the following day. I wasn't given anything in hand to indicate the service being done, so again, communicated with the person on the text message, and they asked for my address and never gave me information about a certificate, receipt or otherwise. They also did not show up to complete the acid treatment. I know it's so reassuring to look on Yelp and see many reviews stating a positive experience for anyone you may be patronizing. But as a heads up - as I know all of us know, they could be friends, family or fake reviews. I refuse to believe that I'm the exception for receiving such poor service, they almost appeared to be too good at it, and have no shame in not trying to make things right. Please consider this review heavily, as you might very well be in an emergency situation and be at the mercy of how they decided to provide this service to you! I really try to extend understanding and grace, but this was a very unacceptable means of handling business. read more

I am leaving the review on this one because the website listing is the correct company I used. I initially called to have a riser installed on the outlet side of my septic tank. The person who came out also INSPECTED the tank and discovered that the top of the baffle divider was disintegrating. He was able to replace it without having to come back at a later time. I appreciate that he took pride in his work and did his job, competently. Probably saved me a fortune in the long run. Septic history. I've owned my home that is on septic for 7 years. I have had 2 separate companies come out and pump the tank that did a half baked job They either pumped one side or the other. On September 17 I had the tank pumped by a company that did both sides but was unable to come back and install the riser. None of them actually took the time to look in the tank to see if there were any issues. read more

I am a customer of American Home Warranty and I had a septic issue. They contacted Independent Pumping. They came out but had to dig out the access to my tanks. They called and told me it would cost me $150 for them to dig out the lids. I paid them but then there guy said he couldn't do it and it was too hard for his teenage son to do it I called their manager canceled the service call ands she said it would be no problem that she would credit my card. Well, the service call was on May 24th and today is August 17th and with dozens of calls and text. I still haven't been paid. I'm going to small claims court to get my refund. I have used this pumping company since 2012. The first time they came out they suggested I put a riser under the grass area to make it easier to pump my septic in the future. Needless to say I was satisfied with the results and continued using them. This past Memorial weekend I had a plumbing issue which I thought had something to do with the septic tank and/or it was full. I called on Friday morning and they were at my house by 2pm. It was a quick pump and they said everything looked good. I love the quick response and the communication through out the process. Definitely will continue to use them! read more

This is a bad company buyers be aware they pumped my tank the first time 6 months later it overflowing I called them up and told them my situation. Well they sent a pump truck to redo it they changed me for it they sold me chemicals for $180+ and the next day its overflowing again. Now I called them no answer voice mail is full and the voice mail gave me a nother number called it another voice mail with another number called it and this time voice mail sead text another number. So I did 45 min later he texted me saying he's busy?? Now I'm not getting any response from Danny. Horrible Horrible Horrible. I have two contact numbers Independent Pumping for Danny 909-286-2583 and Michelle 951-637-2811. They both did not answer calls and did not show up for the the appointment. When I called them, an automated text message will comes from Danny stating that he's busy and to text him instead, no response for hours. Mitchelle will give a world of excuses and will not communicate verbally either. We had a second appointment and they did the same. I will not recommend this company even if there willing to offer special discounts, its just not worth dealing with them. Fabulous customer service. Our septic system decided to back up just prior to a holiday weekend. I called Independent Pumping, they quoted me a price over the phone and had a truck out to pump within 2 hours. Considering it was a holiday weekend and an emergency that couldn't wait, I expected to have to pay a premium but that was not the case. Their rates were very fair. Not only did they pump our septic tank but also diagnosed why it has filled up. We had a toilet that had been running, which was an easy fix. I really appreciate their honesty and integrity. My wife and I can't say enough good things about this company. We were in a very hard position on a home purchase and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs same day....actually same hour!!!! From the first contact everyone was friendly and helpful. We started off with my wife's frantic phone call because we needed to have the septic pumped and inspected right away. After calling several other places (that said they could go out in a week) we got a hold of Independent. Michelle was SO compassionate and understanding. She automatically put my wife in better spirits. We met their crew at the home and were welcomed with the same compassion and professionalism.
