We enjoyed walking the trails and the water feature overlooks. There are also tennis courts and a playground and a community center is located here as well. The playground is shaded and has play structures and equipment for children of all ages. There are several picnic tables and benches in this area as well. The ground is covered with wood chips for impact protection. DD really enjoyed running around and using all the equipment on our most recent visit. Located just off S. Tamiami Trail/ 41 this park is easily accessible. Visiting this park is a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon.

This Pier had some work done it after the hurricanes and its safe and easy to walk on. It's free to walk out on it and the views are spectacular. While we were out on it, we saw a Dolphin playing in the surf. This pier is a great place for pictures, and we took plenty of then. One end of this pier starts at Sharky's Restaurant and ends with lots of Fishing spots. You can walk from one end to the other easily. Make sure you take a walk out on this pier just for pics. The fishing pier is just a pier where you can walk out and fish if you want. There is a little stand that sells bait, snacks, and souvenirs. Overall a nice place to check out for shark teeth and shells.

We know now to avoid the beach on Easter Friday! That aside, we did find some shark's teeth, which was nice. The sand is not as pretty as other beaches in SWFL, but the water was pretty. The waves were pretty strong, but people were still in the water. The beach was packed, especially when we left around 2:30. We would return, but still prefer Casperson beach while in Venice.

There's no parking, but down the street is public parking so we dropped off our stuff here with me and my husband parked. I love these kind of beaches that are off the beaten path. It's the true definition of beach, beach, chill, and relaxed. Since this is not Siesta Key, the sand is quite different. There are a lot of sand pieces and it feels a lot like gravel. But I'm not looking for that powder sand, I'm looking for the chill beautiful all natural which this is it!

Marina Park is a public boat launch facility in a waterfront park like setting. Adjacent to the Historic Venice Train Depot it's easy to find. The boat ramp is wide enough to accommodate two trailers at the same time. Pavement on the ramp is an excellent condition but can be a little slippery at low tide. The dock area to the north and south of the boat ramp has cleats for tying off your vessel and the dock pilings have thick rubber bumpers so there is no need for you to pull out your boat fenders for docking. There is a well-manicured grassy area with benches adjacent to the boat ramp providing a comfortable place to sit and watch the activity on the water. There are also some shaded picnic tables for an easy access waterfront picnic. The park is clean, safe and convenient. There's plenty of boat and trailer parking on the weekdays but weekend prime time parking will be a challenge. If water access is what you are looking for, Marina Park has what you need... It's so easy. Enjoy!
