I love Indian food despite that some Indian eateries serve it like mushy gruel in a huge buffet trough- this place is NOT one of those joints. Everything was made to order, served with basmati, with excellent presentation and care. I tried their veggie samosas, the palak paneer, their garlic nann and nothing was everything was good. In hindsight, I probably would have gotten the plain nann as the meal was delicious and very rich and didn't require the added garlic to mask the flavor of the paneer, but all things considered, this place definitely gets a 5!!! Went here for a lunch buffet on Saturday. It was indian food. Sadly nothing to write home about. The had a pretty sparse selection to be honest. Don't get me wrong there was enough food to fill up on, just not a ton of variety. The decor was plain, but clean. The owners and workers seemed in high spirits and really nice. It seems like the best option if you want Indian food in Amarillo. I would go again if asked by a friend. It just isn't my favorite option. I happened to stop in today to pick up lunch to go and I am so glad I did!! The service was spectacular and the gentleman at the counter helped me pick out a menu item and answered all my questions. He even made me a Mango Lassi while I waited, I'm already craving another. I ended up getting the Madras Chicken and it is so amazing. I wasn't sure I would like it because I'm not a big curry fan but the flavor is mild and yummy. The serving size was much larger then I could eat so I'll be having this for lunch tomorrow! read more

Wow. Just wow! This place delivers an incredible experience. My husband and I are driving through on our way to Colorado and we stopped in. We immediately fell in love with the ambiance, and then the food was impeccable! The restaurant is filled with beautiful Indian art. It is super clean and inviting. The service was also great! We obviously love this place! We will certainly be stopping by on our way back and hopefully soon after. We are vegetarian and we're so happy to find this gem on our path! They started good. Now they have become greedy. They have now reduced the portion size for same price. They are making their chapatis (Bread) appear bigger but with using lesser dough. Ofcourse their food is not bad but several places I have eaten Indian food in LA, San Jose, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Oklahoma city and more have been better in taste and portion size for similar rates. The problem is that people don't have much choice for Indian food in Amarillo (except for Punjabi Affair which is excellent but is fast food type actually). Indian food is my husband's favorite so we it it a lot. This was our first visit and it surpassed all expectations. I was expected same ol' chicken tikka masala and naan but it was soo delicious! This family run eatery was warm and inviting the second we walked in. Our glasses were always full and they were quick about bringing more rice when we asked. This is for dinner, not the lunch buffet. I started with samosas. They were very good. Tender skins, creamy insides. I ordered Malai Kafta medium and it came correct, spicy but not too hot. It lacked the depth of flavor I expect in this dish, but was good. As for portions, these are very adequate, not the typical American over-the-top but proper portions. Three large cheese balls in sauce. A decent portion of rice. The nan was the proper texture and flavor but was not warm. Chai tea was hot and tasty. It is a plain space, but clean. Was told it's almost ready have a seat. 10 mins later was told it's done they are just boxing it up it will be just a second. 15 mins later my food is done a total of 45 mins....and apparently the price for Four orders or butter chicken and some Naan is over $70. Great food. Love the biryani! Not too hot too enjoy for those who like their food mild but can be heated up for the spice lovers among us. I reccomend their butter chicken as well as the lamb biryani. Love their naan. Have tried all flavors and loved them all especially dipping in the butter chicken sauce. My medium spicy veggie biryani was worst food I have had in recent times. Spices were not added properly, turmeric & chilly was too much. My mouth burnt with spices and I never passed more than 30%. We had been told time after time to try this place. The area of town is not bad but the building doesn't seem like a 5 star place....DO NOT let that scare you away. We love to find little holes in the wall gems and this is one. We enter and are greeted. It was one of the more welcoming places I have been in the area for sure. I do not know if this is a common question or they could just tell it was a first time thing, but the waitress quickly asked if it was our first visit. The waitress guided us through everything possible. I think we had questions about everything on the menu. We ordered buttah chicken chicken Marsala and butter naan. The presentation of each dish were elegant. Both main dishes were absolutely amazing. The amount of heat (spicy) was explained to perfection by the waitress. All were cooked to perfection. As picky as my wife is on breads the butter naan blew her away. It is amazing and you have to try this if you go. To top off this wonderful 1st time experience we had asked about the yogurt smoothies. The waitress brings us one over on her for us to try. We were not disappointed in the smoothies flavor either. Unexpected...East Indian cuisine in Amarillo TX. My first experience with Indian food, but was so good. Freshly made, warm and toasty naan bread excellent with cucumber sauce. Tried Buttery Chicken as suggested in Yelp review...moist cubed chicken in tomato sauce with just-right spicy bite served with rice!
