Very beautiful place, rv park and cabins to rent. I'd probably stay again but I'd make sure the understanding of checkout, refunds and leaving early are crystal clear. I ask to stay one month, I left after 3 weeks so my rate went from monthly to weekly which I had no idea the rates worked that way. Thats fine, I could have made a different decision, I would have stayed rather than paying the full month and only staying three weeks.. I did ask about this before hand and was told, leaving early wouldn't be an issue but still, no mention of mo vs wkly rates, who knew. I just felt a little jilted for the money I paid vs what I stayed. I'd still go back but have more understanding of the terms. Its just a stain on my experience there because I loved it. read more

This campground needs a major overhaul in my opinion. Just driving thru it looks okay from a distance, but it's obvious that repairs and upgrades have been few and far between. The camper slots are squished very close together. The roads are full of holes and people park their boat trailers all over the place. We were not there to camp, though; we stayed in a cabin that has not been upgraded in years--it had dusty and stained wood walls, a wall A/C unit that struggled to keep the room cool, rotten and peeling siding and trim on the outside, a grill that looked like it'd fall over if you tried to use it, furniture that was old, scarred and didn't look fit to sit on, a bathroom with a toilet not bolted to the floor, no stopper in the sink, a rusty soap dish and toothbrush holder, a non-working exhaust fan light, and dust/dirt on the baseboards and corners, a bed with a torn bedspread and pillows so thin you could hardly tell you had one, a kitchen with scarred and old cookware, bare minimum utensils, cups and plates and no dish towels. The one good thing was that it smelled clean when you walked in, but that was deceiving. The only reason we stayed there was that we were with family that chose the place and it was convenient, but I would not go back if you paid me and neither would they. read more

Went there last Friday to eat breakfast at the restaurant due to its high ratings on Yelp. Turns out that the restaurant is temporarily closed, but they couldn't give me a timeframe for when it will reopen. read more

Im very disappointed that i had a family member call for us to stay at Indian point for a week and was told that we could not stay anymore due to my small service animal i had poo on the floor that my husband accidentally left on the floor not sure were at on the floor but he apologized to them after he found about he didn't leave it on purpose we have stayed there many times and he cleaned it many times before we left and she still would not accept his apology and if i had hands I would have helped him he thought he got it up .we never dreamed after giving them good reviews and sending friends to stay and relatives to stay they would act this way even after my husband apologized. and if he had seen he would have got it .but i will always like this but they could have accept the apologie and not be rude. read more

Nice views... but you better hope you like your neighbor they have you packed in here like sardines, I've had issues with my neighbors not picking up after there dog and can't even sit outside without smelling dog crap! When you talk with staff Rebecca is nice but owner not so much....we asked to have a few things and even to pay extra on rent for my kids to have some toys....she said no. That's fine but the things we asked about are all over park and others have so I really don't understand what the issues are. As far as us staying here again In the future absolutely not!! I feel like the owner could have been more understanding and have done more about the community as far as the rules of the park. Not sure why it's oaky for some to do things and not others especially offering more for rent. Also upon coming to look at spots then going to office to reserve a spot we were asked what year our camper is my husband and I kinda laughed and showed pictures of our Columbus 1942 series and our set up.. she said oh you'll be fine but when you come and look at spots you see trashy set ups and nice sets ups.. if your only staying for a week or two then you have nice spot but for a long term be ready to be right on top of your neighbors, they fart you smell it!!!! Owner needs to step up and do something about complaints... that's my opinion....she said she came by my camper several times but never knocked on my door when I told staff I'm home all day every day and have one truck so she never tired to contact in person just via phone. read more

Whenever we are staying for an extended stay in Gauiter, this is where we go. My husband works at Ingall's shipyard periodically so the location is perfect. We are literally 10 minutes from the yard. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We usually stay in the rental units, but my in laws have a camper and use the rv slots too. Both are easily accessible and affordable. The rental units are fully furnished and come fully equipped with linens, kitchen supplies, and cable/wife. There is a ton to do on site. Mini golf, swimming pools, fishing, horseshoe pit; we're never bored. I love the boat launch area. My husband can whip our boat right in the water and even leave it there overnight with no problem. I like to take walks when it's not ridiculously hot and buggy; lots of critters to see and admire. There is also a diner open next to the swimming pools. Very convenient for swim days and early morning fishing trips! All in all, this is really my home way from home! We always feel welcome and at peace. Much better than a cold, uninviting hotel! Out RV needed repairs, we found the PET friendly RV resort with cabins available for rent. These cabins offer everything, all the dishes, fridge, stove, microwave, decent TV and clean. Very clean. The cabin duplex offers a screened in porch, a open back field overlooking a canal. The park is very quite and well maintained. The workers were out and about daily keeping the park looking good. Two pools for the guests and a cafe that is priced right. The only downside is the laundry is to expensive. But, there is one around the corner from the park. read more

On an RV trip from Texas to central Florida, with a rig that requires a pull-through space, we were unable to find a state park in Mississippi that met our needs. (Note: we are last minute reservations people!) As a result, we called same day and ended up here. What a find! The property is nice and clean, and adjacent to a bird preserve. They've built some camouflaged shelters for birdwatching. The terrain is wooded and marshy and lovely. We didn't take a dip, but the pool looks nice. We had breakfast at the cafe on site - Eggs Benedict with crab cakes...to die for! Mississippi, an RV park, and gourmet dining...who knew?! We'll be back to spend more time. read more

Tucked away several miles north of the Mississippi Sound, but with easy access to the rivers and bays that lead to the sound, Indian Point is a classic, picturesque fishing camp. Originally, Indian Point was an RV Park with few amenities - mostly intended for seasonal fishermen and rustic family getaways - but, today, Indian Point includes collections of lovely cottages, tiny houses, and 4-sleeper cabins - plus a clubhouse, swimming pool, event pavilion, and surely the best café for many miles. It is certainly safe to say that this little restaurant is competitive with some great, big city restaurants. They serve high-quality, well executed versions of standard Southern breakfast fare, and service is over-the-top excellent, but they also offer an unique dish, found no where else. Red Pepper Shrimp and Grits is a "swamp rat" version of the traditional dish, with tingly, spicy red peppers to make it interesting. We spent three days here for my baby sister's do-it-yourself wedding, and I must admit the venue was absolutely perfect for our needs. Other than that, the boat launch is world-class, the grounds are large, lovely, wooded, and well maintained, and the staff, residents, and campers are quite friendly. The only blemish on this particular stay was that, on Sunday night, the electricity was knocked out by a thunder storm, and repair crews had to be called. It took some time for the crews to arrive and get the job done, but I recognize that everyone involved did their best - and the power came back on within two hours. I strongly recommend the accommodations at Indian Point. It's very easy to find worse - and very few are better. read more

This was my first time coming to Indian Point. My husband and I usually rent a hotel room for our yearly vacation to the coast but we wanted something a bit different. So when we heard about Indian point, we decided it would be worth a shot. I'm very happy we went. The campground has a full sized swimming pool and huge wading pool. A club house sits next to it with pool tables and it also sports a small putt putt gold course. Very small but fun all the same. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is the refrigerator was rusty and the beds were squeaky and not that comfortable. But all in all, it's a very quaint, and comfortable place to stay. The residents that stay there for a lengthy amount of time were just as helpful and friendly as the staff. Very welcoming place to go and relax. We will definitely be going back read more
