We brought in our dog while on a trip from SC. They contacted our SC vet to get her history, then recommended a new medication for her. The vet took a few minutes out to go do some research and came back with a plan for Lexie. She was careful to explain that she didn't want to override our vet's treatment for Lexie, and provided us with printed info on the new med that we could take back for a discussion with our SC vet. The entire staff was kind, friendly, and efficient. Altogether we spent an hour with the doc and our bill was surprisingly low. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We had only taken our dog to this Clinic once at the beginning of the season as we knew our dog was old, and might need some help during this past summer. Unfortunately, we needed to return at then end of the summer as our dog suddenly took a sharp turn towards the worse. Options were presented to us with grace, empathy and detail. Every person who came in contact with us at the clinic was caring for us and our dog. We needed to put our dog to rest and as everyone knows this is a difficult choice and of the utmost grief. However every step of the way, the empathy, professionalism and compassion of this staff was always present. it was as though they were part of our dogs family throughout her life, and they were going through the same grief and pain. I would give more stars if I could. We were here on vacation and not even clients of the clinic. Our three-year-old dog was severely injured on a holiday weekend. The doctor came in and did emergency surgery and was so gracious and caring. She even called to follow up and see how Cascia was doing. Just a PSA, before using this business, call around for good vets and appropriate pricing. unfortunately I am new to the area and was not aware that it was a corporate clinic. 400 to 650 for a 4 pound chihuahua to be nurtured. 250 to 600 for a teeth cleaning. So appreciative of them being open on a weekend as most are not. And when your from out of town and don't have a relationship with a vet it's hard to get in. I had an emergency situation and they got us right in and our dog was treated. Otherwise we would have waited over the weekend and then who know what would happen. They also are very good at what they do, kind, empathetic and caring. They now have a new client even though it's a closer drive than others whose service isn't close. Highly recommend. read more

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Ginop and the staff at Indian River Veterinary Clinic. We recently discovered that our 16 y/o cat had cancer. At the time many things go through your mind when you know you're about to lose a member of the family. At the time of her diagnosis, our Sassy still had a good quality of life so we brought her home. A few days later Dr. Ginop called my wife to see how Sassy was doing. At that time she was okay. Soon after, she went down-hill. It became apparent that Sassy was not going to get any better, and we made the tough decision. This was a very peaceful process compared to what I experienced downstate. We chose to have her ashes come back to us after cremation. They were returned in a beautiful box along with a small plaque with Sassy's paw print and name on it. Then we received a sympathy card signed by Dr. Ginop and each member of her staff. This facility was very good at one time but their service has declined sharply over the past 2 1/2 years. Some may contribute this to "COVID" but I disagree. Their customer service as well as their attention to their clients have also declined to a noticeable trend. Their appointment windows are out to such a degree that you have to plan out care for your family member ahead of time. If your pet has some kind of incident/accident they may not be able to see you at all or you will have to call daily to see if you can get in. They need to look at how they can improve their facility to accommodate the clients that they have read more

We love our fur babies and for over a year one of them had been batteling a nasty infection where his fur had mostly fallen off and he had sores everywhere. He was so miserable and not himself anymore. We visited local vets in the Grayling area and as the expeses went up there were still no results on hime getting any better. A co worker suggested Indian River Veterinary as thats where he was taking his pets. So I loaded my fur baby up and made the long drive and from the moment I walked in the door this place was great. They were welcoming and compassionate to my boy. Within a week we were seeing results and at the end of three weeks he was his old playful self. It still wasn't without costs but you can't put a price on the ones you love. read more

I am up in Indian River for the summer. My 7 lb chihuahua jumped off the couch and hurt herself. She could not walk. I spent over 4 hours on the phone trying to find a veterinarian who would see her. I made calls to all the veterinary offices within the area. I was amazed that every single one refused to see my dog because she wasn't a regular patient! I found it very cruel and disparaging that a veterinarians office would not see a dog who is obviously hurting! Finally I made one last call to Indian River Veterinary Clinic . I explained what was going on, and to please ask the veterinarian if she could please squeeze us in. In less than 45 minutes we were in the exam room. Dr. Heidi and her staff were very friendly, kind, and caring. I am forever grateful to them! I highly recommend them! Unfortunately my dog has a broken pelvis. My little 5 year old kitty Annie, was a VERY sick girl. Bowel obstruction, upper respiratory infection, fever...etc. After IV fluids, antibiotics, and barium X-rays... she required surgery. I really didn't feel optimistic that Annie would even survive, but the Veterinarians and staff at Indian River Veterinary Clinic, were on top of everything! Annie is back home now and improving every day. I am so grateful for the "Top Notch" care she received. They truly saved her life!
