The cabin…read morewas spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed -- including comfortable 2 sets of bunk beds and a queen size bed, a kitchenette, and a private porch where we could relax with our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The campground itself is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of shade and well-maintained grounds. We loved taking advantage of the bike and kayak rentals. I did enjoyed the fire pit we had outside the cabin where my friend and I made delicious s'mores. It's also just a short drive to Madeira Beach and other fun spots around St. Pete. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and you can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. A huge thanks and a huge shout out to Raquel who made sure we had an amazing experience. She not only make sure our cabin was immaculate at all times but she also provided us with useful information about places to visit around the area like John's Pass, St. Petersburg Pier and War Veteran's Memorial Park. This KOA has the perfect mix of nature and comfort, and it's ideal for a group of friends, couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in a cabin without roughing it. Highly recommend -- I'm already planning my next stay!

One of the regular residents ,upon our arrival helped guide me backing into our lot. His name eludes me now,I will post it if and when i remember. I met a man from Quebec ,Canada in the laundry room ,who was most gracious ,he even saved me a trip to get quarters for our wash, by offering to exchange bills for Quarters. His name also eludes me. This kind of friendliness has turned out to be the norm during our 3 years of wintering here. There is a heated pool and hot tub as well as a large rec room and card room which are in constant use. The owners keep everything in pristine condition. There are always plenty of activities going on and you can be either as busy or as laid back as you like. The park is central to many Tampa / St Petersburg attractions and events. A great spot for snowbirds!

It seems so secluded that it's hard to believe so close to the beaches, Tampa and great restaurants and bars. This place was recently purchased by Bickley. We checked in a couple days ago and to say we are…read moredisappointed is understatement. When we reserved the site, we picked one of the larger sites. When we got here, we were put in a totally different site that is way smaller and right under some high-tension wires. There is no picnic table in our site, which I thought would be a bare minimum but apparently not. The wifi is interminably slow (like 0.5 Mbs), I think I could get faster with a dial up modem. Last night I tried to use the shower and could not get any hot water even after letting it run for 10 minutes. All my complaints to the office have been received with what can only amount to "oh well, that's the way it is". If I could find a place to move to at this late time I would, but probably stuck here for 8 weeks. Unless we decide to leave after 4, which is entirely possible at this point.
