Overall, the resort is a great place to spend a weekend. It includes three outdoor pools with a…read more235-foot waterslide (the spa pool is adults only); a 27-hole championship golf course; a full-service spa with therapy baths, steam room, fitness center, and cabana rentals; hiking and biking trails with stunning views; a bocce court; and four restaurants offering Southwestern specialties and organic cuisine. But, there are some things to note, namely on cost: 1. There are great "summer" rates and packages available - they usually run from mid-May until just before Labor Day. 2. Valet parking is $42 a day - there really isn't another option. 3. The resort fee is $68.73 per day (that includes tax) 4. Food and drink are VERY pricey - especially breakfast and lunch (my small egg white omelet with greens on the side was $29). If you have the ability, use the To-Go coffee and bakery spot next to Core Kitchen & Bar. They are open until 11am everyday. 5. They do cater, fairly well, to gluten-free needs. Other things to note: We were in room 2805 - a beautiful, clean, and comfortable room. It was so nice to have a fire pit on our terrace to enjoy (as well as the wildlife that stopped by to say hi). Note that there is a sidewalk that runs the length of the hotel, right in front of the fire pits so during the day, it does not feel as private. The spa cabana was worth the price tag if you plan on wanting to be outside all day and want to keep cool in between soaking in the sun or swimming in the pool. It's also adults-only. The spa, itself is beautiful with every amenity you'd need for a relaxing day.

Third stay here in a couple of months and just as consistently excellent as ever. Since I went…read moreinto so much detail in the previous two reviews, I'll keep this one brief: OUTSTANDING service across the board - front desk, housekeeping, food/beverage Comfortable and CLEAN room Excellent and safe location Just not gonna stay anywhere else in CG! ___________________________________ This is an update - Well, here we are a couple of weeks after our first stay at Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites and having a great time again. You just cannot beat the level of service here. We're treated SO well. Welcomed warmly, listened to, accommodated, it's all great. Not even just the front desk staff (Pam and Elizabeth, the manager, are totally awesome), but seriously every single staff member I interacted with was helpful and welcoming. This time in a suite instead of standard king. Great room. Really spacious. CLEAN and fresh. Great location. Safe. Easy parking and easy access (low curb for luggage, wide doors, etc.). Good breakfast buffet - plenty of selection including gluten-free options, not only pretty good food but good coffee and not only do they offer decaf, but it's GOOD decaf. And that's just the coffee in the breakfast room - there's a cool espresso machine in the lobby/dining area. Great water pressure again, good A/C, plenty of USB outlets, a nice couch and second television in the suite. I just don't see staying anywhere else in Casa Grande. And we won't. We'll continue returning here. ___________________________________ We've barely been here 24 hours but there already quite a few things we love about this Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites. I gotta start out by highlighting the amazing, outstanding service. I had to call a few days ahead of time to clarify a detail, and I'm pretty sure - in retrospect, having now met her in person, that it was Pam who handled my call, because she was pleasant and personable. Plus I called ahead the day of check-in to see if we could check in a little early and she accommodated the request cheerfully, and she turned out to be the one who checked us in. She was warm and welcoming, and the check-in experience was flawless. And I had several interactions with her after check in, each one pleasant and helpful. But even housekeeping (you heard me - yes, housekeeping, and we're only here for two nights) staff were friendly and helpful. I returned to the room to find housekeeping finishing up the room, no big deal, so I went downstairs to hang out in the lobby and planned to go back up in 10-15 minutes to see if the room was finished. Not FIVE minutes later, Pam comes over to let me know that the room was ready. Housekeeper called her to let her know, and she let ME know, in turn. WOW! Who does that? That is knock-your-socks-off service! Now, the details. - Hotel overall and the room itself are clean and even fresh-smelling. - USB outlets at the bedside and one on the work desk - strong WiFi - Free parking - Great location (not only central but nicer area that feels safe) - Complimentary breakfast - Cool espresso machine in the lobby - Spacious room - Excellent water pressure in the shower (and sink) - Not only a microwave, but a virtually full size refrigerator - MUCH bigger than the standard mini-fridge. And colder. You can comfortably store food/leftovers and beverages in it. - Cool window blinds - Air conditioning worked really well Areas for improvement - just one for me, and this is personal preference; the mattress was a little soft for me, and the pillows a little small, so the mattress slid out away from the headboard as I sat up to watch TV a couple of times. Not the end of the world, but a minor inconvenience. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Casa Grande.

I stayed here for one night about a week ago and it was ok. This hotel is by far the most expensive…read morein the area and more expensive than most Best Westerns I've been to because it's a "Plus." The one night cost me $265 after taxes and I booked a double queen room because that was the only option available at the time I made my reservation about six weeks ago. Single bed rooms have marginally lower rates and are around $230-250 per night after taxes. There are other hotels on this street with lower rates but the only reason I stayed at this hotel is because I needed one more credit to get bumped up to the next rewards level with Best Western. The Best Western "Plus" hotels are marketed as a higher tier and I'm sure some of them are, but most of the Plus hotels I've stayed at are pretty much the same as a standard Best Western (including this one) and in a couple of cases, worse than the standard. There are drinks and snacks available for purchase at the front desk but the employee at the front desk said I could grab a couple bottles of water. Breakfast is served from 6am-9am on weekdays and 7am-10am on weekends. Thy have the typical options like sausage patties, eggs, diced potatoes, cereal, fruit, granola, waffles (you have to make them yourself), bagels, toast, and a special mix of scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage links, green onions, and jalapenos. The food tasted alright but the hot items were a little undercooked. The employees are nice and offered to get me something else if I needed anything. I was here for less than 12 hours because I got in really late and had to leave really early the following morning. I might stay here again, but only if I can't get a room at one of the other (cheaper) hotels nearby.

I booked a bungalow in the retreat area to have access to the 2 other temperature regulated pools. It was beautiful the retreat area is very nice, it's further away from Weft & Warp and the Turquoise pool so it quiet and relaxing. Maydeline at the Spa was very helpful and very in touch with guest needs. One step ahead everytime. Colin really saved the day with making sure we had everything we needed. Brennan was also really helpful at breakfast and bringing us water all the way to the retreat pool. There was a minor hiccup with requesting ice while we were there but they did take care of it and apologized the next day for it not being done promptly, the acknowledgement was great and it really was such a minor thing. They have lots of activities everyday that are included and they also have experiences you can pay for.

This hotel is a true luxury resort in Scottsdale. The entire theme is mid-century modern and all…read morethe rooms feature chairs and pieces by famous furniture designers like Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen. The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.
