A member of our extended family had worked with them for their son's wedding a few years back and tipped us off to using them. Vivek Flowers stocks an extensive variety of Indian floral goods as well as leaves, garlands, trinkets and other goods used in Indian weddings and other cultural and religious ceremonies. We mainly wanted jasmine flowers to start with since one of us had grown up with them, and we were able to use those flowers as well as others to decorate a Mehndi event. We also let people attending the wedding put the jasmine in their hair as is traditional in South India among women. The fact that Vivek Flowers both stocks every variety of jasmine, lotus and other flowers and even has the jasmine already strung together with threading was very convenient and saved us many hours during a busy wedding weekend. We would highly recommend them particularly to couples doing any kind of wedding looking for Indian flowers and other accessories.

She made eye contact with me and I said hello, but she didn't reply and went returned to the back area. Unbeknownst to me, there was another employee an arm's length away from me playing with an infant and customers/visitors who appeared to be family, as they hugged and kissed upon leaving. I waited for 8 minutes and then the employee (whom I didn't even know was an employee) asked, "What do you want?!" Not how can I help you, what's the occasion, here's what we have available, etc. Horrible customer service and I refuse to support and spend my money where it's not wanted nor appreciated!

I first searched online for florists near my friend's neighborhood, so that the delivery charge wouldn't be too large. Blooms 'n Boxes advertised free delivery within a three mile radius of their location. Although my friend's home is beyond that radius, I called the shop anyway, having been impressed with the arrangements, and hoping to get a deal on delivery. I didn't know at the time, but it was the owner who answered my call. She was very personable, and there was no audible flinching at my admitting a limited budget but a big desire to make my friend smile. Not only did she work with me on bouquet design ideas, but she gave me an unbeatable deal on delivery, too. All in all, she allowed me to stick to my budget, and was very friendly about it, as well. I asked if she could take a photo of the finished product and e-mail it to me with the receipt. I wasn't expecting anything fancy or large, but I underestimated the owner's generosity and joy in her work with flowers. My friend's reaction was just filled my heart! After months of looking on Pinterest, my expectations for floral designs were pretty extravagant. Even starting from the first meeting with Heidi and her husband, I knew they were going to be perfect. They make a wonderful team. They are so organized and ask great questions to really understand your vision. They also give great advice and recommendations to get what you want within your price range. They are so flexible and accommodating. And they go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. They both came out on the wedding day to make sure everything was perfect (which was so nice!) Heidi even added some flowers onto the wedding cake, which we didn't even have in our contract. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. The flowers were so fresh and beautiful and everyone could not stop raving about them. They kept asking where I found the florist (it was just through yelp!) I really cannot say enough great things about them. You will regret not choosing them to be your wedding day or any special day florist.
