I used to Streamwood florist to get a boutonniere and a bouquet for my son's senior prom. I asked for white roses, and to be ready at noon. 1- the roses used in the boutonniere and used in the bouquet were different colors. The boutonniere was bright white, and the bouquet off-white cream. also, the flowers in the boutonniere were not fresh and slightly discolored at the end of the petals. I went to pick up the order at 3 PM, 3 hours after they were supposed to be ready, and the boutonniere was done, but they were still finishing the bouquet. read more

We basically knew what we want, my wife had a few pictures with her and Sue told us what is the best flowers to go with based on the pictures. When we saw the flowers on the tables we were absolutely amazed. even our guests were talking about how much they liked the flowers and they were commenting that we must have spent a fortune on getting such a beautiful and fresh flowers. I absolutely have to sing the praises of the little florist shop. My husband was the first to discover them. He used them to send me roses on several occasions while we were dating, and those roses were always beautiful when they arrived, and beautiful for a LONG time afterwards. I never saw roses that stayed so nice for so long! So when I was planning my wedding, my husband suggested we go there. Sue is one of the owners (along with her husband), and they are great -- pleasant and completely at your service! I told Sue what I wanted, we looked through the design books to get ideas, and then, in the end, we worked out similar designs with flowers that we truly could afford. When her husband dropped them off the day of the wedding, I was so pleased. They had taken the time to tag every corsage and boutonniere, so there would be no question who got what at the ceremony! Everything was designed exactly as we had discussed... the colors worked so well with my dress and my bridesmaids dresses. The designs were perfect. And the flowers were SO fresh, that I still had my flowers on display on my table the whole week after my wedding. Now, when I need flowers, this shop is my first and only choice. I just stopped by there two days ago to get corsages for my daughter and her sponsor for my daughter's confirmation. The prices were so cheap, I was blown away. And yet again, Sue took the time to make suggestions to help make the corsages be even more beautiful. Wow. That's the way ALL vendors should be, no matter WHAT the business is. read more

I originally tried sending my grandmother a Valentines Day bouquet from Teleflora. I soon discovered that Telefloras customer service and dependability are terrible! ( I guess they spent most of their money on their Super Bowl commercial). After a huge fight with them I canceled my ordered and decided to search for a local florist near my grandmothers house. I took a shot with Streamwood Florist and I am soooooo happy that I did. I placed my order over the phone and referenced a picture they had on their website. A few hours later my grandmother called me saying the flowers were gorgeous. She even took a picture of them and sent it to me and they were just as pictured, dare I say even a tad bit nicer. The customer service was great over the phone, the price was great, and they delivered when they said they would. Tried to call the shop (there are two numbers listed) 12 times all throughout the day but it just rings and rings, no voicemail. I found an 800 number on their website but it takes you to a survey for car insurance so I am sure I was just signed up for some calling service.
