I was impressed enough that I texted three friends photos, told my wife to start planning our son's birthday party here, and was actively asking managers about upgrading to full access because I had just discovered the larger "Adrenaline" area. For context: it's Indiana winter, it was cold, and I had a hooded sweatshirt on with the hood up because I was freezing. During my 2 1/2-hour stay, I spoke with two managers about memberships--neither said a word about my hood. While walking around trying to keep up my child, I heard someone off to the side say, "Take your hood off." I approached the man, who asked me politely. I politely asked why it was a rule. His response was shocking: "So I can see your entire face on my 50 cameras." This was 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, not a packed weekend night. I turned away to continue looking for my child, removed the hood, and muttered "whatever dude" under my breath. That's when the situation escalated wildly. He charged toward me, yelling: "I'm the owner--if you don't like it, leave!" I had already complied. That wasn't enough. He then shouted: "I'll give you your money back!" And finally said something that truly crossed a line: "If there are off-colored people with hoods up and we ask them to take it down, what would that look like?" I'm still trying to understand why race was brought into this at all. Let me be clear: * The facility is great for kids * The staff and managers were wonderful * We were not leaving anytime soon until this happened But the owner's behavior was aggressive, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate. A simple rule explanation would've sufficed. Instead, it turned into a power trip with racial commentary that had no place in the conversation. Rules are rules--but how you enforce them matters. I'll take the refund. And I'll take my business elsewhere.

She is only 2.5yo, but I've noticed a marked difference in her social and educational development. The teachers work very well with the students during lessons and playtime. Upon entering the school, staff is sure to acknowledge their young scholars first. I can tell this makes my daughter feel welcomed and safe. When my daughter misses a day, she is anxious to get back to her friends and school family. I actually feel guilty when I keep her home, because I know she will miss a worthwhile lesson. She has been in three different classrooms in 7 months, but only because the administrators insist on placing children in the classroom that best suits their development pace. In her first classroom, her teachers managed to get her about 85% potty-trained within her first week of school. We were amazed. Also, as a neat freak, I love that the school is kept tidy. I always notice upgrades to the facility and new toys. Lastly, at this location, many extracurricular activities are planned for the students and their families. We look forward to each one!

The first person that came to my mind was Director Stephanie Harvey. However, the quality I admire the most is the kindness and humility she exhibits every single day. She always ready to listen and help in anyway she can. She would never ask her staff to do anything that she wouldn't do and she treats everyone with the utmost respect. The cozy carpet almost makes it feel like you're hanging out in a friend's basement. The teachers absolutely love kids and remember every kids' name. It's super impressive. Every minute of the class has a special activity -- different songs, activities, etc. They have drums, scarves, fun lights for a dance party, a lullaby to end with, etc. The teacher we have is super positive and allows kids to truly express themselves and interpret the activities however they want. I've enjoyed meeting the parents here too and all have been super nice. We did a trial with a friend and immediately signed up.

What's most concerning is that at other pools, he's confident, happy, and able to swim independently. But as soon as we come here, he becomes completely miserable. Unfortunately, we were told we still have to pay for an additional 30 days, plus a $50 registration fee--even though we no longer wish to continue.
