I wanted to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 but didn't feel like doing the regular movie theater thing,…read moreso we decided to try this place out for a more elevated experience. Glad we did! We went on a Sunday and found street parking pretty easily, but then realized the theater validates parking for up to 3 hours. Such a nice perk -- wish I knew before circling around lol. We bought our tickets online ahead of time, and when we got there I ordered the garlic cheesy bread and a drink at the counter. Total was around $15. The seats were really comfy and spacious, which made the whole experience feel worth it. The food came out pretty fast. The garlic cheesy bread was probably like a 5/10 for me... not terrible, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall though, really nice theater and I'd definitely come back for another movie night.

We arrived and parked in the garage located next to the theater. When we checked in at the box office, we were told to request parking ticket validation upstairs. They provide 3-hour parking validation. I was under the belief that we could order refreshments from our seats, but the usher at the theater door advised that we should order at the counter and food (with the exception of beverages, popcorn and candies) would be brought out to our seats. This was disappointing because the line was quite long. We stood in the queue and once we reached the counter, we were assisted by what I believe was the food service manager. He spoke with a sense of ownership over the issue that was their beer refrigeration line. All of their beer is on tap, and none was available because of this issue. The gentleman was short with us. He talks fast and asked what we'd like and before we could even get the words out of our mouths, he demanded that we produce our seat tickets. I was pulling them out of my pocket when he said something to the effect of "we can't deliver it to your seats if we don't know where you're seated". This is true, but once I gave him the tickets, he held onto them until the end of our transaction. If he didn't need them right away, then why cut us off like that? My husband tipped on the receipt, but I felt that the service was subpar. I hope the tips are given to the food runners. When we found our seats, there was a huge spill in front of one of them. The employees have to come into the theater and remove dishes, cups, etc. after each show, so that spill should have been addressed. I found an employee who was running food orders and asked him for a towel. He graciously assisted us in cleaning up the spill. We both ordered The Fast Times pizzas. They were small, personal sized pies. They were cheesy, with a generous amount of pepperoni, but the crust wasn't fully cooked. I barely ate half of mine before I began feeling sick. I had to excuse myself to restroom shortly thereafter when I became ill. My husband's stomach is stronger than mine, or perhaps his was fully cooked. The seats were comfortable and I don't think you can pick a "bad one", but the food and the service could use improvement.

It was probably inevitable that someone who's a professional film critic would eventually check out…read morethe movie theater located on the way to cleaning out his recently passed father's home. That's Regal Shiloh Crossing, an Avon, Indiana 18-screen cinema that has been fairly well updated. There's an IMAX screen, 4DX, and other luxury options including luxury reclining seats. While I know this is an older theater, it's for the most part kept clean and looked pretty spiffy to me (I wonder if I'm the first Yelper to use "spiffy" in a review?). The employees were all friendly. Accessibility is strong here with accessible parking, appropriate curb cuts, and accessible seating options nicely done in the auditorium-style theaters. Regal offers a rewards program and an unlimited movie subscription option (2D movies). At one point, it really seemed like Regal was declining as a chain. Theaters like this one give me some hope. It's not perfect. I wouldn't call it a destination theater, but I do think it serves this community well. There aren't a lot of options around Avon other than the screenings at Danville's Royal Theatre. It is worth noting that after 8pm anyone under the age of 17 has to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian - I think this has helped solve a lot of past complaints as the theater really used to be a gathering space for teens in the area. While my time is winding down as I get closer to resolving my father's estate, I wouldn't hesitate to return here if in the area or if friends on this side of town wanted to see a movie. While it's not Central Indiana's best theater, it's a good option for those living on the westside of Indy or in Hendricks County. Alamo Drafthouse by Lafayette Square does draw some westside folks, but for those for whom that's too long of a drive this is definitely a solid option.

I'm guessing it's because of their age or the material has begun rubbing against itself. Whichever the case please recline before the show! We were able to attend this evening to see The Long Walk, which was very graphic and I turned away from the screen often. I should have been prepared I suppose since it's written by Stephen King, but with recent events that have happened it was too much for me. It is nice that you can preselect your seats.

If you're entering after 5 pm, you should use the south entrance to the museum, since the canal north entrance is locked. Tickets can either be bought at the ticketing counter or online, but online tickets are also scanned in here to check in. Then, the concessions counter is right by there. The prices for concessions are a little steep, but nothing outrageous. You can enter the theater from the first or second floor. The theater is pretty steep, so there's a bit of stairs depending on where you need to go. There is accessible seating at the very top row of the theater with companion seats. The seats are fairly comfortable but the rows are spaced kind of close, so you can feel people bumping your seat if they are moving about even pretty normally. The seats also don't recline much either. Picture posted to this review is the point of view from row K. Overall it was a good experience and I'd possibly be back.
