I attended a blindfolded dinner here a few months ago, so obviously I have no photos of the food :D The experience was unique and the food was amazing. The flavors were incredible; I think being blindfolded help emphasize those... I will say I wasn't quite as into the blindfolded part as I thought I would be. I kept wanting to peek and take it off. I think I would probably enjoy a dining in the dark experience a little more since having something on my face, while eating, wasn't my favorite sensory experience, but that's just personal preference. I was here recently for an event that was put up by my university. Coincidentally, there was another event at the Skyline Club also affiliated with my university, so that made it quite crowded across the whole floor. I think in terms of the provisions by the Club, everything was covered well enough. They had catered meals for us that were fine, and it looks like there's a restaurant up there for other patrons. My only complaint was that there wasn't anything to indicate where to put used dishware that I was done with. The views here are really cool, being able to see the monument and Lucas Oil stadium from above. This definitely makes for a cool event space. read more

Attended a Yelp Elite Event here and had a great time! Walked in and was immediately met with a glass of champagne. All guests and staff were very friendly. All of the food was amazing, I even enjoyed all of the vegetarian dishes that were served. Cocktails were poured generously and were very tasty. Entertainment was nice to listen to the entire time. Had a work event here that was booked multiple weeks in advance. We have received one menu a few weeks ago, a few days before the event the menu changed. When we arrived, the menu was changed once again, and do not include multiple items that were present on the original menu. The ambience itself is modern and fancy, the business casual was required to enter the facility. We specifically got a room with a TV, and had complications with the wiring with our computer. They have a role in another TV in order to have our laptop function properly. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and steak. Steak wasn't on the menu, but because of the menu confusion, they allowed us to order what was on some of the other menus in addition to what was on the lunch menu. Brussels sprouts were delicious, firecracker shrimp was good. I got the cowboy cut steak, which was delicious and a great size. However, the price that we received on the dinner menu was lower than the price that we were charged for (63 instead of 75) Well, I would come back for a small intimate dinner with my significant other to get good views of the city, I would try to avoid hosting larger events here due to poor organization. I have been to other restaurants like skyline across the US, and they all have their fair share of pros and cons. If you are part of that membership, I would still strongly recommend going to this club to see unique views of the city and good food. read more

This review is a little difficult to write because I'm not sure if the staff (chef, host, servers) were Skyline employees or contractors working for Fever. My husband and I recently attended a "Sensory Feast: A Magical Dining Experience" at the Skyline Club that was presented by Fever. We were greeted by the host of the Skyline Club who escorted us across the hall and into a room with three four-top tables pushed together. There was water available on a table at the head of the room and QR code menus on each table for additional drink offerings. We chose our entrees during the booking process. There were three options: Beef Short Ribs, Salmon and a Vegan or Vegetarian option (BBQ Jackfruit Stir-fry). We both opted for the Beef Short Ribs. The evening began with us ordering drinks. We went with the Bulletin Place Moscato, but they had lots of fun, themed cocktails as well as a full bar. Jason, or J, our server, was very attentive. He started off by introducing himself and telling me to let him know if we needed anything, because he worked for us! Nice touch, J! The sensory portion of the meal was a Land of Oz-themed show that was projected onto our tables. Each place setting was like your own personal movie screen to enjoy. The script was funny with some adult humor and pop-culture references. Nothing raunchy or anything, but definitely geared towards adults with mortgages and life insurance, etc. LOL I'm not sure that children would laugh or chuckle the way that we did. Our meal began with a salad of mixed greens, dried cranberries, diced red apples, strawberries and sliced almonds with an Apple Cider Vinaigrette. Despite all of the fruit, the salad was actually very tasty. The presentation was gorgeous. It was garnished with an edible flower. The main course was also presented beautifully. It was adorned with gold glitter and nothing but a fork. We joked at how confident the chef must've been assuming that we wouldn't need a knife for the short rib. It was very tender, but how did they expect us to eat the barely-cooked, steamed broccolini? It was hard...like, nearly raw. My piece of short rib was extremely fatty and my husband's had no fat. I gave him mine. We should've just swapped plates. The most disappointing of all was that the food was lukewarm when we received it. I heard the woman who was guiding our experience (I'll call her the hostess) telling someone that chef had braised them for 4 hours. That's great, but it sucks that we received them at room temp. The dessert was a chocolate mousse cake. It was rich and decadent. I only ate a few bites before tapping out. It was very good, but too sweet for my blood. Again, I don't know who the oweness should fall to in this matter, but the hostess stumbled through her script terribly. It sort of ruined the mood for me and others began to stop listening and just continued their own private conversations. It took something away from the experience. Also, the room we were dining in was drab and depressing. Thank goodness for the projection, because at $125 a seat, the atmosphere was lacking. No candles or decor in sight. Lastly, I'll say that we really didn't get to see much of the Skyline Club itself, but as we left the dinner, the Indianapolis Fever game was on, and the place was empty! That is likely due to there being some Fever-themed event happening downtown, but the place looked nice. Several other guests were surprised that we weren't actually in the club at individual four-top tables like the advertisement had shown. I think we all felt a little mislead. read more

I was invited to a members event by a friend and enjoyed the leadership talk as well as the excellent food. The buffet had amazing mashed potatoes and green beans as well as perfectly cooked salmon. I was impressed with the efficiency of the wait staff and how quiet they were clearing up during the talk. The space was amazing to see the whole city and get a bird's eye view of downtown. I was a bit daunted by the parking garage as many levels are reserved, but once I got to a free spot it was easy to navigate. It was a delicious meal over a meaningful discussion, so would recommend membership if people are looking for leadership training or being part of a fun club downtown. Hands down the best views in Indy!! You get views of monument circle and the whole city skyline, it's awesome. Pro-tip, come right before the sun sets and you'll get to see the skyline during golden hour and the city lights at night. It's such a cool dining experience and feels so exclusive, and I think they're only open to the public during certain times (they'll provide a QR code to get through One America building's lobby security when you make a reservation). On top of the perfect views, the food and service was top notch too. We started off with some cocktails which were delicious and stronggg (not complaining lol). Also love that they provided some bread to start! And it came with 3 different types of dips/oils. For my entree I got the salmon and loved it, the presentation was nice and it was served over a delicious orzo. Had one of the Devour Indy menus. The salad was excellent and thoughtful. The chicken was dry, almost hard and without substance and flavor. The potatoes were poorly prepared and were surprisingly lumpy. The lemon gremonlata lacked any substance. This was a business dinner and we were the only take in the room, they had a large event. The room looked like a hastily recommissioned storage room. They had a musician serenade us as we were the only two people in the room, which was an odd decision. We were greeted at our table with a "welcome" sign which we thought was really thoughtful for my husbands birthday! Love when restaurants make the extra effort to make you feel welcomed. It wasn't that busy for 6pm on a Friday but I love that personally. A lot of different options on the menu for any tastes buds and also offered two specials - a fish and meat option and also a third for dessert. Highly recommend the jalapeño stuffed peppers! It's a side but we ordered as an appetizer and I'll be thinking about those for awhile. My husband got the fish special and it was so tender and delicious and I got the Brussels salad (boring I now but it was good!!). Dessert they comped a bday dessert for us and brought it out with a happy birthday and candle - loved it. We also needed another so we got their delicious carrot cake. Went for devour downtown so it was a completely different menu. They overcooked my filet. The waiter already knew and insisted on taking it back. After a few bites I decided it's better to get it remade. Not before the manager almost tried to say it was cooked correctly before really looking at it. **this happens ALL the time** I asked for a gin cocktail be made which was good. The bread service was good. The lobster bisque was ok. Wish we could have sat by the window but they were mostly taken when we got there. When asked to move we were told it was reserved for members. I never knew about this restaurant in the many years I've been to Indy for work, but found it this year. First off the views are amazing. Such a cool atmosphere! Our server was very nice and knowledgeable on the menu. I had the dry aged prime strip steak. This was definitely in the top five steaks I've had in my adventures. I don't know how many times I've eaten at the skyline club but more often than not it's a five-star experience. Of course there are days where they seem a little short staffed and servers are slower. But I think that's less common. Normally the service is quick and friendly. Meals start with a bread plate that also has pickles and olives and two butter options. There are lots of appetizer options and the side plates are large enough to share among three people, easily. The entree options are large- so I don't think you'll leave hungry! Finally, there are several dessert options but my favorite is for sure the bananas foster. Love the table side presentation. The cocktails are delicious and they can make just about anything- and they won't be watered down. We've had private events and large parties here. They're happy to create a smaller menu if you want to limit your guests options but also give them plenty of options. This has worked well for us. The recently renovated decor is beautiful (& finally matches the price point or their menu). Of course the view is the main reason most people visit. I was a bit underwhelmed for the $200+ spent here. Since it is open to non-members temporarily, I thought it would be a good place to celebrate a birthday. The plating puzzled me and definitely needs work overall, like sauce spilled, no lemon with the calamari, and the butter on the bread tray looked like squeezed mayo. I would expect that from a bar or a casual place maybe, but not a place considered formal dining. The lamb chops were good, but the cilantro mint sauce was a very odd, thick jelly texture - it was even too thick for the sauce swipe on the plate (see picture) - I'm not sure what it was but I took a bite of it accidentally thinking it was a piece of vegetable and it just didn't taste appetizing, and I love cilantro. I much preferred the lamb on its own. The steak was cooked perfectly! We did get the crushed potatoes, it said with truffle butter but I'm assuming that is when it is in the oven and made it crispy. They were deliciously crispy but dry and felt like it needed something else for those big pieces. The dessert was really the best part. The carrot cake was unique, came with a beautiful caramel sauce and with candied crunchy flake cereal pieces. The skillet cookie was ooey and gooey with vanilla ice cream. read more

I was excited to read Skyline Club was allowing non-members to dine at the Club due to the pandemic for the unforeseen future. We invited good friends of ours to join us since they'd never been. Parking in the garage was easy and the entrance is off of Illinois Street. Parking wasn't outrageous at $10 for 4 hours. The weather turned out to be crisp and clear so the view was spectacular. We arrived a few minutes early so we had a short wait which went by quickly. Our server, Wolfgang, arrived at our table about 5 minutes after we were seated. He was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. We placed our drink orders and Wolfgang did an excellent job of keeping our drinks refilled. When he asked for appetizers we explained we were undecided and required a few more minutes. Unfortunately, he asked for our dinner order at the same time. After a few minutes, we each decided on our appetizers and entrees. My husband had the Steakhouse Chili as his appetizer which he enjoyed with the Beef Tenderloin and Brisket. I had the Lobster Bisque which was very creamy and flavorful. Our friends had the Skyline Brussel Sprouts with Goat Cheese, Honey and Almonds and the Indiana Corn Brulee with Jalapeno Cream and Cheddar Cheese. They both raved about the Brussel Sprouts and the Corn Brule was enjoyed as well. We were all baffled why the soups were served in an extremely oversized bowl which didn't make for an attractive presentation if that was the idea (IOO). Unfortunately, we still had not received our napkins and silverware and had to ask for those before enjoying our appetizers. Two of us had decided on the Maple Bourbon Glazed Salmon but when we ordered Wolfgang apologized they had ran out much earlier and he forgot to mention. We had a long wait between courses and was starting to think we had been forgotten or our meals weren't turned into the kitchen. My friend went to find the Manager in hopes of determining why we hadn't seen Wolfgang or our entrees. The Manager came over to our table to explain the kitchen became swamped with folks arriving without reservations. While he was at our table he also cleared the appetizer dishes. He was so kind and apologetic plus offered to comp our desserts which we weren't looking for but we did order desserts. Shortly after his visit to our table our meals arrived. Our friend ordered the Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass served over Basmati Rice, Root Vegetables, Coconut Curry and Kaffir Lime Yogurt. He topped it with the Jumbo Lump Crab in Bearnaise Ailoi. The Sea Bass was the hit of the evening. It was light and tender, no fishy after taste, the flavors were delightful and a beautiful presentation. I would return just to order the Sea Bass. His wife ordered the fresh and crisp Classic Ceasars Salad, the fabulous Crushed Potatoes with Guajillo Butter and rounded it off with the remaining Brussel Sprouts and Corn Brulee. All of us kept diving in for another crushed potato. They were spectacular, loved the seasonings. They were sharable sides but we should have ordered two bowls of these. They were that good. My husband ordered the Pan Seared Sea Scallops served with Sweet Corn Puree, Buttered Leek Risotto and Blackberry Reduction. The Scallops were beautifully prepared and exceptionally tender. We raved to him how delicious risotto was but his arrived mushy and had a bitter flavor. He didn't want to return since it had taken so long for our meals to arrive. I had the Classic Caesar Salad which was fresh and tasty plus a 4 oz side of Jumbo Crab with Bearnaise Ailio. The salad and crab was satisfying but I would have preferred less aioli on the crab. The menu also offers Kale and Beets, several different sides, a Chicken entree with Butternut Squash Hash and Asian Grilled Lamb Chops. A Filet Mignon, a bone-in Ribeye, a Porterhouse and a Wagyu Tomahawk for 2 is offered, too. Our desserts were scrumptious! Three of us ordered the generous portion of Flourless Chocolate Cake. It was decadent and creamy with chocolate mouse and blueberries. My husband ordered a Bourbon for his dessert. It was wonderful spending the evening with good friends. I just wish we wouldn't had the huge gap in service since I was the only one who had been here before. We will most likely come again while non-members are allowed. Two yrs in a row my protein choice was dry, vegetables not seasoned, rolls were imo store bought, desert decent and liquor is outrageous. Other than that it's great. The renovations are looking amazing! I can't wait to go back to check out the Firefly with the light up bar! I went for a wedding vendor luncheon and we were explained the many ways they can set up for a wedding or event. I'm particular about needing a dance floor so it's good to know they have one available. The kicker was when they opened up the shades so we could see out onto Indy. The shades even go up into the ceiling so you can see the sky, and I can imagine it would look amazing at night! read more

We ordered steaks and they were a bit more done then we would have preferred, I might suggest being super specific about how you want your steaks to be cooked. First time dining here. Invited by a member and was looking forward to it as I contemplated joining for a while but never had a chance to experience it. First and foremost the view was well worth it. Great overlook of the Circle. That was about the best selling point of the evening. Our server was great. He was extremely busy with all the seated tables to look after. With my observation, it seemed quite hectic for him and created a few missteps along the way. Drinks were well made. One of our group does not drink and there were no options for any special non-alcoholic drinks. That would have been a nice option on the drink menu for those who do not or cannot drink alcohol. Apps were decent. Ours were mixed up with another table. So we had to wait for one of them to be refired. We made selections off the devour menu and main menu. The devour menu was pretty generic and reflected much of the same type fare across many of the restaurants participating in it. The tenderloin of beef was way over-cooked and dry. I suspect it had been sitting in the warming box or under the heat lamp for some time. The potatoes were crunchy and tasty with a bit of truffle oil. The asparagus was meh. The blue cheese sauce was heavy on the blue cheese and overpowered the rest of the dish. Off the main menu, the filet was raved about by my friend and looked perfectly cooked and seasoned. The side of corn brûlée looked and smelled great. Our desserts were enjoyed as well. The espresso cheesecake was excellent. Perhaps the devour menu was not the best choice from which to order. It's unfortunate that the meal was much less than expected. Perhaps it was an off evening in the kitchen. Definitely was not worth the price to be certain. I will have to think about membership with the Club which I had not thought I would be doing. read more

Valentine's Day. A very important night for most couples, but especially important for a newly wed couple having their first Valentines Day as husband & wife. After going to Punta Cana and Vegas last year and eating the finest food you can imagine I can tell you I have high expectations when I'm spending high dollar on a dinner now. We chose the skyline club by looking over the menu in advance. Fillet for me, seafood for her, perfect! We arrive to find out that the menu is SET and totally different. Big issue for me as 95% of that menu was garbage for my taste. A chefs arrogant attempt to force people to try his or hers dishes. No appetizer I was interested in, hated every option. Dinner I had ONE option, Short Rib. Other options I was either allergic to or couldn't stand. (And there wasn't many options at all). Side dishes were an issue, my selection came with stuff I don't eat so I had to ask the waitress to change my sides to fingerling potatoes and risotto. She was reluctant, but I made it clear I wasn't happy with the menu changes to begin with! When dinner came out, my wife's lobster meal looked good for her. My short rib was barely warm. Risotto clearly had sat in a warming pan and my fingerling potatoes (and hers) were cooked an hour ago, over cooked, and just held warm. Dessert was ok, all part of the "one menu price" model they used last night. In the end I was very upset to find out that THAT dinner cost $79 each and a $31 service charge. Then taxes and optional tip. $220 later I left pissed off that we ever chose that place! No signs posted informing customers of the limited and downgraded menu changes. No email blast to customers who made reservations for VALENTINES DAY!? No fillet on menu on that day of all days? That chef should be ashamed. If that food was top of the line, despite the limited options, I wouldn't care so much paying that much. But going in, expecting a $100-$120 meal, only to spend $100 more than I expected and have that kind of food. Purely unacceptable! I will never recommend that place or ever take my friends or family there. Service was slow, forgot to bring rolls to our table, even after the place cleared out with few couples left, service was still slow. Establishment itself was classy, clean, good views. Live music was a nice touch. So much potential! Food plating was pretty, right off food network. But in the end, the food is the star right? Unfortunately a massive let down that ruined the whole thing at ridiculous prices. Should've trusted Fogo De Chão, as usual, but I won't make that mistake again. read more

Quality food with an awesome view! Came here yesterday for a friend's birthday dinner and wasn't entirely sure what to expect as most restaurants that have a killer view tend to be on the meh side but this is truly an exception. We waited for our friend's arrival at the bar where the bartender enticed us with an Old Fashioned using a hard to find bourbon, and quickly found out why. The bartender took his tim and handcrafted a wonderful cocktail fitting for a luxurious setting as the Skyline, Luxardo cherries and all. After a 2nd round we took our seats at a beautifully set table near the window. We chose from the Devour Indy menu with my selections being Brussel Sprouts & Kale, Caraway Crusted Salmon, & Vanilla Cheesecake. We started with the spicy cucumber marg and the new fashion. Yum! The Brussels sprouts appetizer is to die for, even if you don't like Brussels sprouts. I got the filet and my boyfriend got the Chilean sea bass. Both absolutely loved our choices. We also got a side of crushed potatoes with truffle butter. Everything was seriously excellent. Chef came out, GM checked on us and our waitress was fantastic Drinks - Nice selection, started with champaign and then each had a cocktail - I went with a Manhattan and my wife enjoyed a Peach Cosmo FOOD - Skyline Brussels Sprouts, Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Asian Grilled Lamb Chops, Crushed Potatoes. The brussels sprouts were quite possibly the best I've ever had...and when on any menu, I order. Cooked to perfection with a chili honey glaze spread over goat cheese. The crushed potatoes were delicious but as the only basic item ordered, got lost in the shuffle. We brought most of the potatoes home as leftovers and created a breakfast dish the next day that was phenomenal. As far as the main courses, we haven't stopped talking about them. The Pan Seared Sea Scallops dish was incredible and the thoughtfulness of the plating and pairings with corn puree, risotto, bacon and blackberry reduction made it memorable. The surprise of the night came with the Asian Grilled Lamb Chops. No words can do this justice and I thank the waitress for introducing this as a popular selection. Soy glazed with stir fried veggies and a cilantro mint sauce. 3 lamb chop lollipops, which can't be an easy item to properly cook, were handled by the chef with perfection. I've ordered this dish from a few high-end restaurants and have never left a review or raved to friends about the experience. We've been fortunate to dine at some great restaurants and we both agree, this is now a favorite. Do yourself a favor and take in the views of the city, enjoy a cocktail and trust the Chef and his team to handle the rest. Food and drinks made for such a great time, no photos were taken. I won't be back. I was glad I got a window seat but then was upset to be placed in a small side room with a few other couples and a very boring view of the northeast side. I also got a little frustrated to see a guest wearing jeans, white t-shirt, and tennis shoes in the same room as us when I thought the policy would be no denim. The first star is for the service. Evan was a great waiter and we were greeted by a desk attendant who was really nice. What got the second star was the lobster bisque soup. I would make a meal out of it. That is all. But my chicken was dry, the bread was awfully hard (I couldn't bite into it), and the view was just meh from where we were. What really put us over the top though was the 20% service charge. We understood the decent meals would be expensive because you are paying extra for the view and experience but adding an extra 20% on top of these prices is outrageous. It is not a tip so the 20% service charge on top of a tip really makes the bill rack up. My meal was nothing to talk about (I didn't finish it and didn't leave full) and definitely not worth the $24. And that was just for the entree. I am very upset with the money I spent between the meals, service charge, tip, parking, etc. It is not worth it! read more

My wife and I attended the Skyline Club for a Christmas dinner. The decor of the One America Building and the Club itself were beautiful. We are not members of the Club but there was opening seating on this evening and we were very impressed with what we saw. The views alone from the 36th floor were breath taking. A great place for date night or a chance to show off Indianapolis to out if towers. We had the lobster bisque which was top notch. Be sure to enjoy the bread and butter as well. For our main courses I had the hanger steak and my wife had the grouper. Both were some of the finest entrees we have had downtown. My wife and I appreciated how attentive the wait staff was and how they checked on us but did not bug us. The after dinner drink list was a wonderful finishing touch to the night. read more

We went for "Jazz At The Top" which the Skyline Club does every 4th Tuesday of the summer months. I heard about the event thru FB and have wanted to go for awhile, but this past Tuesday was the first time I could go. The Jazz musicians change each time and so do their food menus. They have a good selection of Martinis and Beer for this event (not craft beer it seemed). Music was great and they band was very talented (piano, sax, flute, drums, vocals) great Jazz vibe. I have never been to the Skyline Club itself either, so it was cool to check out. The GM of the Skyline Club came around to check on us. He noticed us wondering around and checking out the views after the music was over and ended up walking around with us, describing the local art they had (currently Indy 500 related) and gave us his card for the future if needed. Great views, it's on the 36th floor of One America. They have a small menu. We tried 3 oysters ($1/oyster), just to try out. I got the Burger and my boyfriend got the chicken wings, just something to munch on for dinner while we listened to the music. Burger was great, but wished it had more of that Garlic Aioli sauce (so good). My boyfriend enjoyed the wings and really liked the Tropical Mango martini.
