Trash place with rude ladies who will over charge you if you dont pay attention to bill

We were a group of 8 and did not make reservations. We had no problems finding a table for lunch on a Wednesday. The decor: it's actually pretty glamours inside. The restaurant is pretty intimate inside. The buffet area is quite small there are only 3 main areas: the salad bar, hot food and BBQ meats. The food: I really liked how the got food station was seperated so one entire side is designated just to veggies and the other side is everything else including meat and fish. This makes it very easy for vegetarians to pick their food. Everything was delicious and I wish I had a bigger appetite to eat more. The service: for a buffet, the servers were very attentive. They bring the dosas and naan freshly made to order to your table so you don't have to grab it from the buffet. They also walk around with a drinks cart which is smart cause you can see what they have available. read more

A very nice restaurant. Nicely decorated interior, clean. Service is excellent. Food is good, offers good selections of items for the buffet. Food are fresh and nicely prepared. A wide range of items to select from. Though it's buffet, but the servers are really nice and brings freshly prepared hot uttapams, dosa and papri chats to you table if you like to have any. They also checks with you frequently if everything is good and if you need anything. Parking is convenient at site inside plaza. A good place for dining with family and friends. read more

I placed an order for a party at home. I paid extra for delivery and it was delivered hot, on time (a little early actually) and well covered. I had sent an online request to order but received no answer. I followed up by phone and they hadn't received my order, but took it over the phone. I had to pay a deposit and they sent a picture of my receipt via whats app. Final payment was done after the food was delivered and again I received the receipt via whats app. I like the prompt delivery of the receipt. We ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken, palak paneer, bhindi masala, channa masala, rice, naan/roti, and mixed raita plus salad. The salad is very basic lettuce, tomato, cucumber and most gets wasted. The food was tasty and enjoyed by all....but on the spicy side. I did not specify spice level but next time I would order milder. The gulab jamun was warm, soft and tasty. read more

Why did the chicken cross the road? I don't know but I can tell you our family crossing the road cost us a night out. We were going to Montana's I even parked there, then as we walked towards Montana's we saw this restaurant Indias Taste so we crossed the road and went in. The Buffet was $33 so not too expensive, this beautiful restaurant glistened inside and out with lavish lighting BUT I missed the first give-away, only two customers there. The food was mostly dry and you can tell that it was not fresh, the Tandoori chicken was the worst..most of the meats were dry beyond belief, one fish dish was the exception. Desert was run-of-the-mill at best. Overall a total disappointment. A Group of four a table away from us seemed to be having trouble with the food too as I noticed they left most on their plates and skipped right to desert. We could have done so much better than going to Indias Taste. Yes crossing the road cost us a good dining experience. read more

We ordered take-out from here three times and the food was good the first two times. Third time, when our order was way bigger, even though we ordered same items (but more quantity), the food was bad. Out of three items of Chicken Vindaloo, Chana Bhatura and Daal Makhani, only the chicken was good. Chana was as if they used the canned chick-peas and just added some masala but with more salt. Daal had some hard stuff in it as if it's not cooked properly. This happened on Fathers day 2023. We had guests and were so disappointed we stopped ordering from there. I'm not sure whether it's the quantity or bigger crowd on Father's Day, but our dinner was definitely spoiled. I would suggest to be careful if you order for guests and just pray for your luck to have good food. read more

I wasn't going to write this review but had to do it! We made reservations for a Sunday dinner (5:30) which apparently they don't take unless you pay $200 deposit. We came here group of 10 for my daughter's birthday during covid pandemic. Let me start saying that it didn't look like they follow much of restrictions in terms of number of people allowed or tables blocked to follow social distancing. We noticed at times staff's masks were not on properly. Not being overtly critical here, however strict rules must be followed by business or outbreak happens. At this point, we have been to several restaurant that followed restrictions and you can tell this restaurant doesn't care much. Food: completely disappointed- buffet section was almost empty when started eating (5:45). When asked the lady owner where the food was, she responded "just wait and take Food one by one". Why the heck! We would not have come to a buffet if we wanted food one by one, especially when you have to put a mask on and plastic gloves they give you. The lady owner was very rude and wanted customer to just shut up and not complain about poor service, especially when I told her that we want leave on time due to kids. Food was tasteless, dosa was horrible (one of reason why we decided to come here). Only good thing was naan. Rating 0.5/5 Drinks: nothing special. The bartender basically screwed up an alcoholic drink and they still charged us for it. There was no alcohol in the alcoholic drink- the owner says, it says on the paper it does, so I'm going to charge for it. Rating 0/5 Service: there was one server who was very nice and she accommodated as much as she could. Only for this rating would 2/5. This was a complete disappointing experience. Needless to say, NEVER returning and would highly NOT recommend to anyone. Customers should be listened to, especially being a business owner! read more

I've ordered here a couple of times and although the food is good, it's unbearably spicy. UNBEARABLE! I was two bites in and couldn't finish my meal both times. Couldn't feel my mouth. nobody enjoys eating like that. The aloo gobi was not even possible to eat after the 1st bite. butter chicken was supposed to be mild. it was NOT. Food: Extremely Fresh and flavourful with so many buffet items to choose from. The appetizers are my most favourite items here. The best part is that the Naans are freshly prepared upon order (included in the buffet price). Ambience: Clean restaurant with unique light fixtures and modern decor. Came across this place couple weeks ago when driving through this plaza and noticed a new Indian buffet so I kept that in mind. Fast forward couple of weeks and I wanted Indian food so that took us to here. They do dine in, takeout, and sweets all in one place. Their sweet selection had about 20 different selections as well as fancy gift boxes for all occasions. They also offer buffet take away right from the buffet table for a bento style take away or you can order larger boxes off the menu. Interior is very modern, bright and spacious. I like their seating arrangement it is not all cramp together. Their buffet tables are setup in the rear of the restaurant along with an open kitchen. They have a huge selection of hot food and cold food. There is a variety of vegetarian option as well as meat options for curries as well as fried food. The center buffet table is reserved for curries, rice and noodles. The back buffet is for the fried foods such as pakora's and samosa's. They also offer dosa and naan which is made to order through your server and is included with you buffet. The food is very flavourful and spice level is good not too spicy so if you want more kick they have pepper sauces for you to add. Very good food for a buffet as I've been to some that the food is just horrible. The service was ok our dirty dishes weren't cleared up as fast as I'd like and we were the only table there at 7:30p. We came across India's Taste one day when we were in the plaza looking for dresses. We decided to give it a try on a Tuesday for dinner around 7:30pm. The restaurant was empty at first with a lot of people ordering takeout. However as the night progressed there were more patrons getting ready to enjoy the AYCE dinner buffet. The buffet had a large variety of delicious savoury foods. Items ranged from vegetarian to fish, chicken and goat. There were different curries and fried items. There was also a variety of salads for starters. They kitchen also makes the naan and the Dosa when ordered with the server. The buffet also included a number of desserts, from cakes, ice cream to Indian sweets. My favourite is always the rice pudding and fruits. The service was very nice. Our server always came by to make sure everything was okay. There is plenty of seating and parking available. We look forward to trying this place again on a Friday or Saturday dinner. read more

We have eaten here twice. I will focus on our last visit which was on a Saturday night with my wife and daughter. There was a small crowd there, but there was also a steady take out business. We were seated promptly and given a fancy bottle of water for the table. It took me forever and a day to get that !@#$(*& bottle open My daughter loves butter chicken. Though finding some rice to go with it was a little tough since she wanted specific rice like the rice at Loblaws across the street. The butter chicken had moderate spice to it. I loaded up on a little bit of everything. We did have to harass the staff to get some Naan Bread Overall we have enjoyed the place and will repeat! read more

Unfortunately this isn't what anything back in India tastes like. We had the buffet and were treated with overcooked and tough meat, crumbling milk sweets and textureless curries. We spoke to the owner about being unsatisfied with the food on the buffet but I don't think he understood or probably had too inflated of an ego to take some constructive criticism from a paying customer. All day Indian buffet? How could anyone resist? This restaurant's interior seemed very upscale. They bring a pretty glass carafe of water for the table, and also make naan and dosa fresh to order. The food was delicious, lots of different types of dishes like butter chicken, chicken tiki masala, goat curry, lamb curry, etc. Also a wide variety of vegetarian dishes, fruit bar, and dessert area (including ice cream). The naan was the best part. Although it was thin and crispy, the flavor was delicious and very addicting! The only problem was that it took a while for us to get someone's attention to put another naan order in. The staff was nice, but not very attentive and we had to ask multiple times for naan, water, and dosas. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area, definitely worth checking out! BEWARE: please read my experience before you book group events The ambience, food and cleanliness is good and hence the one star and it ends there. We had a family celebration and had booked the party room for Oct 21st. Price per person for the meal was negotiated. The day of the event, one of my party picked out a few bottles of wine priced around $30 per bottle and advised staff that we will advise if more was needed. Staff proceeded to serve bottles at $45 per bottle without asking or notifying us that additional bottles were being opened. A dosa was ordered for one of the kids but it never arrived. When I went to pay the bill I was surprised to find I was being billed for 7 kids when there were only 6 and one was a toddler who did not eat anything. I was billed for 39 adults and I was quite certain that there were less. I specifically asked and was told they had "counted". I was stupid enough not to go back to my guest list and TRUSTED that they were able to count and were HONEST. When I was able I checked my guest list and sure enough I was billed for 2 extra adults and charged gratuity on the Tax! I called and was told that 'nothing could be done". I asked that the owner call me and as of today (Oct 31st) have not heard back. I was charged for a number of alcoholic beverages and not sure at this point if this is even accurate. Suffice to say, I will not be returning or recommending this place and if you are reading this my advice would be to AVOID this place if you value honesty, trust and good customer service. read more

We wanted to try this place out and a good sign was that the restaurant was somewhat full despite the harsh winter weather today... At this point I'm thinking 'the food has to be good'... The interior decor and design is very classy and gives you the upscale vibe even for a buffet restaurant, this is a place I could easily see myself hosting a business meeting or business event. They have a lovely selection of North and South Indian non-veg and veg buffet items and also include different types of naan as part of their buffet price... The food quality here is much better than other well known Indian buffets in GTA. I appreciate the fact that they bring the naan basket to your table however their timing on delivering the naan is way off as they seemed to bring the naan bread by the time we were either done with the curries or by the time the curries went cold, important fact is that they weren't busy at that point. Speaking of the cold (more like frost), we were seated at a 4 seated booth right in front of the door which left us with either the option to keep our bulky jackets on while eating or shiver to death, the host said she couldn't seat us elsewhere because a portion of the restaurant closes in an hour (btw it's been 1.5 hrs since we've been here and guess what? None of the portions were closed lol). The booth is a bit tight so we opted to shiver each time the door opened in order to be able to move our arms so we could eat :) eventually when I asked the hostess to please close the door they placed a heater. I did really appreciate the gesture! The dessert was amazing, especially the gulab Jamun and ras malai! I'll most likely return with more people -- With better seats hopefully or else I might return in the summer to enjoy the summer breeze indoors. read more

I really like the food here. It is fresh and has a nice selection. I have been many times and notice that there have been some different dishes to try. The down side is that your favourite dish many not be there. I have a 5 year old who also gives it a 5 star rating. read more

Yesterday we were invited for a celebration lunch at India's Taste. I compliment the kitchen and service staff for an outstanding afternoon. The food was delicious and the buffet offered an extensive array of dishes to suit everyone's palette and cravings. It was a busy afternoon for the restaurant as our group was big plus other guests but, the buffet was always stocked, the service staff were the highlight of the afternoon cause not once did we ask for fresh breads, beverages or plates clearance. They were extremely prompt in handing it all and consistently doing their tasks with a smile. I enjoyed the non veg starters very much and ate very little mains but I must say they were delicious! Their kebabs and Chinese starters were deliciously cooked (yum!) and the goat curry in the main course was a winner for me! For the first time in 2 years I have thoroughly enjoyed an Indian buffet! Thank you immensely for the wonderful afternoon we had and we are sure to return very soon! read more

it was my first time coming to this place and I was extremely disappointed. The staff was not very friendly or welcoming. The items on the buffet are not even labeled correctly or labeled at all. My sister took butter chicken and there was lamb in it, what if she was allergic to lamb??? There was also a hair on one of the items I took. Do not eat here unless you like food poisoning. I could not even finish a single plate before experiencing the worst stomach ache I have ever felt WHILE eating a meal. For an ENTIRE WEEK, after this terrible experience, I would have to lay down for 2 - 3 hours after every meal with a massive stomach ache. I took a day off work and left early two days in a row. By a week, I mean I was like this for 8 - 9 days. I have never been this ill before due to food. on the 6th or 7th day, I was suddenly met with explosive diarrhea for the entire day. Not a fun weekend. I just spoke to a friend about recently having food poison, and he also explained that he felt ill a few weeks ago after having eaten at an Indian Buffet. He confirms that he also ate at India's Taste, and reported exactly the same symptoms as I did for 7 - 8 days. His was apparently worse, causing severe vomiting and diarrhea which led to him losing 6 - 7 pounds. read more

Nice new Indian buffet, the place is clean and the dining area is nice and bright. At first, we were not sure if they still accept people in as we waited for a while before anyone came to greed us. But once we got seated, water arrived instantly. Lots of food choice. The butter chicken is still the only dish I will eat with naan bread. We had to order naan by asking the servers as they make it fresh for you. The kebab and tandoori chicken sitting on the buffet were dry. Horrible restaurant! Ordered a drink and came virgin with no alcohol. When complained, owner/ manager started arguing that as a customer you have to tell if you want alcohol or not, although ordered from liquor menu,, annoying. I have been coming to this place from last 2 years and never ever got disappointed in the food quality and taste. Service is good as well. Usually its hard to get table during the weekends but best deal is to get a lunch on weekdays. Its calm and pricing is very competitive than other buffet competitors.. Owner is very nice and always greets with smile. Definitely going there after dine-in is opened. That's on top of my list.. :) read more

Went today for lunch. Was charged Dinner Buffet Price. I thought maybe its because its family day. But I called to ask the what the price for lunch buffet is. A man answered and then passed it to a woman. Whom i spoke to earlier about my bill. She said it $23.99 whole day. So i decide to call EVERY franchise listed on the website. These are the only guys charging $23.99 for lunch. Markham is 18.99 Bramptom 20.99 Food was good. Place is fancy. But wouldnt go again!!! Not when Coke is $3. And when I paid. I didnt get back all my change. If I had. I would have left a tip. Also their desserts are in different areas. Ice cream being right by service doors. Awkward. I have been to this place several times. Samosa are kinda okay I won't really recommend it. Haven't tried buffet yet but the ala carte was kinda good. They have a lot of options so one can try different options. The butter chicken was good and so was the roti. The service is fast. We tried the take out chole bhature which was again kinda okay nothing spectacular. read more

Best indian buffet in gta. Lots of options (even for lunch). The spice level is a little low but im assuming that is to meet everyones tastes. Multiple chicken, fish, goat, lamb and veg options. 17 of us went for the buffet. The food was acceptable but the service was beyond atrocious. The bill was separated per person and each of us paid our bill in full. However, the cashier kept insisting that part of the bill was missing and started to be more and more rude and hostile without any proof. They didn't let us leave and called their manager to resolve the dispute. We explained that all of us have paid in full and if there is any dispute, we would like to see all our receipts. The cashier refused to print the receipts as there were "too many" of them. After a lot of time and confusion the cashier decided to print all our individual receipts and while double checking our order, they confirmed that the mistake was on their end and asked us to leave. There was no apology for the humiliation that all 17 of us incurred especially given that the mistake was on the business's end. I will never be visiting this restaurant again. read more

NOT A 1 STAR BUT YELP WON'T ACCEPT A NO STAR!!! Saw this new restaurant in our regular travels a free weeks ago. Surprisingly not a lot of Indian restaurants in the NW corner of Mississauga so wanted to give it a shot. In the neighborhood again today at 13:00 so decided to stop in. Parking lot was full but the lot is small. Lots of other stores in the area so plenty of parking available. Got to the door and was immediately greeted by who I am assuming was the hostess. Without asking us one single question she abruptly informed us that they currently had 4 parties on the go and would not accommodate us (even though there were a few others waiting to be seated). Without so much as an apology or even giving us a chance to say a word she told us to try back after 15:00. Funny thing was we were only a party of two and the restaurant is a buffet. Needless to say we will not be returning after 15:00 or at anytime for that matter. There are way too many new places to enjoy without having to put up with the lousy attitude or the poor customer service. Considering this is a chain of restaurants perhaps management should review who they hire to greet prospective customers ($$$$). A big fat zero (my first) for this review. I stumbled across Indias Taste with the original intention of going to the kebab restaurant in the same plaza, only to find their seating full. Seeing Indias Taste as an option, and being hungry enough for a buffet, I decided to give it a try. The waiting staff was very helpful even when I wasn't too sure if I was going to dine there or not. By no means were they forceful; instead, they invited us to have a look around, look at the takeout menu, and answered whatever questions you would normally have when deciding on a place to eat. After finally settling in on the buffet, the time came to eat. There are definitely plenty of options, with half being vegetarian (and being a meat eater, I didn't really pay close attention to it.) There were a variety of goat, lamb, and chicken curries, along with plenty of items from the grill. The chicken kabobs, lamb vindaloo, the samosas, and paneer tikka really stood out to me. I also had a lot of lamb chops, but would love to see more consistency as some came out really dry and overcooked, whereas others were perfectly fine. Make sure to tell your waiter to bring you some naan as it is made to order (specifically, the garlic naan). I also tried some of the tamarind sauce and found it a perfect compliment to the items on the grill. An area of improvement would definitely be the desserts. I enjoyed the ras malai, but the cakes are not anything special and did taste a bit stale. Also could be organized a bit better, as some desserts were next to the salads, some next to the vegetarian curries, and some tucked around a corner. Overall, I found my experience to be enjoyable and I do recommend for you to try it. read more

Came here for dinner buffet. The place is very clean and it was all empty. We were the only ones there. A lot of the food items were already finished and they never bothered topping them off since it was around 8 or 9 in the evening. The buffet was $20.99 and if you want to add a drink it's another $3. The food had been sitting for quite a while and you could tell it lost its quality due to sitting since the lunch time. The staff seems to be okay and DO not interrupt your dinner every 5 minutes. read more

Had an office team lunch here. This place is quite new and does not disappoint. Lunch buffet is something like $16. The selection is very nice. They even have lamb ribs and some grilled kebobs. All your standard Indian buffet fare like tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and various curries are there. Naan is made to order. Some of the meats were a bit dry but that's ok for a buffet. All the curries were great and what I expected in taste. They have some Indian style sweets but also Western style cakes and ice cream. Stick with the Indian ones! That's what you're here for.
