He came over for the estimate as promised and gave me a download on what he recommended for my project and we worked together on the details before landing on a final plan. Worth noting when comparing this custom liner vs the mass produced stuff online- Jim can create a welded one-piece unit that is structural vs. most online stuff is multiple pieces bolted together. Jim continued to respond promptly and provide lots of great support and suggestions based on my responses. I particularly appreciated Jim's honesty and being so transparent and up-front about the results if he were to do the job with his equipment. Although Jim didn't have the capability to perform what I wanted, I was able to get the job done through following his recommendations. I had a plate compactor that was damaged by a contractor. It had not been manufactured in over a…read moredecade. Other than a fractured housing and cracked hydraulic bolt, it was a great $12,000 machine. The replacement housing and specialty bolt arrived from a firm on the East Coast, but was 1/32" too large and needed to be milled down with a specialty lathe. Within minutes of calling, Matt said he could do it. But this was such a bespoke configuration, maybe he just didn't know how complex it was. So I drove an hour to see Matt. He had it perfected within minutes and even recommended an outside resource for the hydraulic hose fitting. He literally saved the day and can't help but recommend him to all the other trades that I know. I know of at least three other projects that could use his expertise.

My 2019 Forest River travel trailer developed a crack in the frame where the axle bracket is welded…read moreto the frame. I spent several months going through inspections with their authorized service center and had to wait while Forest River and the frame manufacturer developed a repair plan. In the end, the service center was unable to do the repair and my alternatives were to either drive my trailer to their plant in Indiana or find a local welder. Jeff at Furrion has great reviews and a friend also recommended him. He developed a plan similar to Forest Rivers' and repaired the cracks (he found a crack starting on the opposite axle weld as well) and welded 30 x 4-1/2 inch 1/4 inch plates on both sides of the frame, as well as some 2 x 2 angle iron to reinforce the frame both in front of and behind the axle welds. I am extremely happy with the results of the repair and will not hesitate to have Jeff do any future repairs or fabrication I might need. Forest River has also stepped up and agreed to reimburse me the cost of the repair as it met their plan specifications. I would add that another RV repair shop that does perform welding services refused to even attempt this job. Thanks again Jeff!
