If I could give zero stars, I would do that. My daughter in law went to replace a piece of jewelry for her nose piercing that she had lost. They produced a jewelry that was acceptable, removed the post part from the ball and installed it in her nose and proceeded to tell her she had to purchase the two parts of one piece of jewelry separately ($21 for the post and $23 for the ball). That is absolutely ridiculous. I am certain that there is no way they bought their posts and balls separately, This is not a mix and match situation. The ball does not work without the post. You don't buy earrings and their posts separately. No place I have ever been has ever done that. 01/07/24: Made an online appointment with Johnny to change out my nose piercing stud to a hoop. He recommended that the piercing stays with a stud ring for 8-10 months to make sure it heals thoroughly. My piercing has healed beautifully and I finally got my hoop ring today! Look, I'm a picky person and my child is not getting her ears pierced at some random mall hut or store by some random teenager that just got hired last week. Lol Jkjk Shout out to all the mall employees that pierce ears! But her first piercing was done by her pediatrician at the age of one...so you already know what I'm about. Lol. If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. So let me start out by telling you about my persistent nose ring journey.... Over the past 2 years I have had my nose pierced 4 times. Everyone resulting in a keloid. I had to remove the piercing every time. But I held onto my piercing for as long as I could. I would clean it and care for it properly and nothing seemed to work. Once I took the piercing out the keloid eventually went away. I tried piercing both sides of my nose twice smh. Now I did go to the same piercing place every time. So I figured that maybe it's them. However I know a couple of people that had went there and their piercing s came out just fine. She was very assuring, as she was able to explain the risks and what to expect before, during and after the piercing. She even gave a "preview" of how it will look, once it is on. Wanted to get my daughter's navel pierced for her 16th birthday. However- [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived for the appointment the piercing/body technician (idk what they are called lol) wouldn't remove her face mask to speak to a Deaf client, had a condescending tone in attitude and speech[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], pinched and prodded the navel area to "check for pierce-ability" (never heard of that before), and wanted to charge us $88 just for the jewelry. The piercing procedure is $30. There's no way. I understand that times have changed and titanium is now required for better healing and recovery but you can find titanium belly rings for cheaper than $88 anywhere. The selection was quite slim with the cheapest belly ring being $44. We left and went to Lotus Body Piercing in the Antioch mall after calling there and they quoted us piercing + titanium jewelry for $50 total. Would not recommend Indigo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we decided to leave, we let them know we were cancelling the appointment and they told us they wouldn't charge us for cancelling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Heck no you won't. Lee was awesome. After having my septum piercing done wrong last year at another piercing shop, I waited until the hole closed up and I could find a reputable place around the area. After being referred to Indigo from my esthetician, I decided to give it a try. I explained what happened with my septum piercing last year and Lee took time and care to ensure she did a good job, although she probably would've anyway even without this knowledge. She was thorough with explaining the entire process front to back and had the most gentle touch out of any piercer I've ever been to. I've never felt such minimal pain while getting a piercing before. I've gone to quite a few piercing places around the East Bay over the years and have had a few not so great piercings done. There was such a big difference in professionalism and skill here than I've ever experienced. I will definitely be back to get my nostril pierced here next. Lee told me she selects all the jewelry herself from Californian creators which makes wearing these pieces extra special. No mass produced cheap flaky junk- instead you'll find a treasure trove of elegant, bold and enchanting pieces. Lee took her time in assessing my wish list and helped me decide on the best plan for healing as well as my budget. In the past I've been to places where you feel shamed if you're not getting the BEST top line jewelry and instead opt for more budget friendly pieces, as if you're wasting their time. Not once did I feel this way with Lee. The simpler rings were just as beautifully presented as the top of the line ones and I enjoyed taking my time to pick exactly what I wanted. The piercing itself honestly didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would and again I believe that is a testament to how well Lee knows her stuff. I cannot sing Johnnys praises enough- he was an absolute pleasure to meet and did a phenomenal job piercing my 9 year olds years. When we first arrived to our appt, I foolishly didn't bring the necessary documentation for my kiddo.
