I was referred to Indy Cellular 4 Less by a recommendation, and brought in my wife's Nintendo Switch for a water damage repair. I paid $50 for diagnostics, which took a few days. They called and left a voicemail letting me know that was not repairable. While being told that news was frustrating, the main issue is what happened next. After returning from a vacation, I went to pick up the device, I was told they had already gotten rid of it - without ever asking for my permission. This was only a couple of weeks after drop-off. The Joy-Cons were still fully functional, and many other components of the device were intact, that could have been salvaged. Regardless of how a repair turns out, this shop has no right to get rid of a customer's belongings without clear consent. I was never asked, never notified, and given no opportunity to retrieve what was still valuable to my wife. I paid for a diagnostic, not for my belongings to be taken and sold for their recycling parts, for the shop's benefit. I would not recommend this shop to anyone who values their electronics being treated with basic respect. read more

Quoted an iPhone 14 Pro in great condition at $160.00 to buy from me because they said it had a bad battery because the battery health was 80%. 80% is the gold standard for battery health for excellent condition used phones . They quoted the phone had scratches and that further diminished the values. There was no scratches that you could see from holding the phone in all directions from 8 inches away from your face. I then took it to Indy phone doctor and when I told them that they told me that my phone had a bad battery because it was at 80% battery health he actually started laughing out loud for several minutes.... Owners are so defensive. They will not admit their failures. Majority of the phones they sell do not have factory water resistance. They knowing and willingly sold illegal IPTV service. They talk trash about the customers that spend money in their business. The male owner once told a customer to go to the store so he could shoot them. Very angry and terrible people. Several years ago I decided to break from the major cell phone carriers and this place helped me go with a sub. Recently my screen got damaged and I saw they offered a coupon on Groupon. They explained to me what the procedure would consist of and had me drop my phone off. When I returned they informed me of issues my phone could potentially have if they removed the screen. Ok was TOTALLY leary when I felt like I had to sneak behind the Hertz counter and down the hall to find the little non-store-front store front. Its a small cell stop tucked inside the hertz building and around the corner. Brian and Katie were awesome. I had them unlock my old blackjack to work with T-mobile and realized a few days later the touch screen was broke. Went back in to get a new phone and have it unlocked. After looking at their H2O service i cut my bill down by $30 a month, got a palm treo for $65 and love my new phone, they even uploaded my contacts for me. Great service! I emailed several stores asking some advice and Brian replied promptly and helped me go from Android on Sprint to iPhone on Net10 with huge savings. I now have unlimited talk/text/internet for about $30 less per month. I also got a nice discounted Otter Box. They were busy on the weekend I was there before Christmas and the computers were down, but I thought the service was excellent. even though computer issues probably made it difficult for them. I would drive the 45 minutes again to go here. I already had the phone, and just needed the card so I didn't look at any phone prices. They were very helpful. 4/30 My apologies to Brian for leaving a negative updated review which I have now removed. My email went into his spam which I did not know. My daughter previous (used) iPhone took a swim in the bathtub, and needless to say, the old rice trick did not work. I went to Indy Cellular 4 Less looking for a replacement phone. A couple days later the phone "home" button stopped working. I failed to mention, I live in Lafayette, so it was not as easy as "I stop by later today" type trip. The staff was exceptional in making the issue right, even making an allowance for me to return the phone for a replacement the following weekend. I want to note also that the issue with the home button is not something they would have necessarily caught - it was something to do with a software issue in the phone. I will not hesitate to return to this store again when looking for a really good used phone. read more

If you're in the market to pay an exorbitant amount of money for used phones, this is the place for you. You would be much better served buying your used phone on amazon or ebay. In fact, if you know anything about cell phones, you can unlock or jailbreak your phone on the cheap by just buying the code on ebay. Essentially what they do is buy the unlock code on the internet and then tack on an exorbitant fee. You can do the same for yourself. Google is your friend to save yourself money. This place needs to lower their prices before people become wise. read more

A rip off! There are plenty of reputable companies to try, but I highly suggest avoiding this one for used cell phones. They sold me one with the wrong battery which took 2 weeks to discover, and then the phone would not work because it was not initially programmed and would not even dial *228. I went to buy this phone for my wife since hers wasn't under warranty. I found it from a post in Craigs listThe phone was fine, but the service was HORRIBLE and SCARY. I could barely find the place, and when the guy showed me the phone he almost lost his temper when I picked the phone off the wall to look at it. The phone was dead when i picked it up, so I asked if I could plug it in to look at it, the guy (tall, white, shaved head) started going off about CL and how its making people think hes trying to scam them. I replied that I just wanted to make sure it worked, he said that If I was going into Best Buy, I wouldn't ask them to turn on the phone and that it was bull shit. I told him that this wasn't best buy, and that he was in the back of a building, he started screaming, "Back of a BUILDING???!!!!" And started clenching his fist like he was going to pummel me. I asked for a receipt and he yelled, "WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M PRINTING!?". This was a very scary experience, and I think im going to report it as well to the BBB. BEWARE! Adding to this review, this guy is a liar and screams at his customers. Hopefully hes had some anger management classes since Ive been in there or out of business. I bought a refurbished Iphone 5C from them 5 months ago. I paid almost $300 after tax. I was told everything was checked and it was in like new condition. Within a week the screen started lifting up in the corner. I went in and they fixed it under warrantee, stating it must have been a bad screen. Then, a month or two later, I went back with the SAME issue plus the sensor had stopped working due to the screen lifting in the SAME top left corner. They said the screens can be hit or miss, replaced it and the button. Fast forward to now, two months after my warranty has ended. THE SAME PROBLEM has happened for a third time! The top left corner is lifting off. I went to the apple store and they said the battery was swollen. I went in and explained that this was why the screen was lifting and that I was frustrated the battery was never checked. They said my warranty was over but they could replace the battery for $35 but that I would have to leave my phone for 24 hours because (and I quote) "We have high paying customers we have to take care of" The manager even told me in specifics that he had six phones to fix before the next day. They wouldn't even look at it or accept any fault. When I told them that it was never a faulty screen, the manager told me that a faulty battery doesn't lift from the top, it would lift the screen from the side. Look up youtube or go to apple. 5C iphones with bad batteries cause lifting from the top first. So i took my business elsewhere and was able to get my battery tested (SHOCKER, it was bad) and it was only $24 to replace. Please review places before you purchase from them. This place obviously wasn't being thorough with trouble shooting the issue, otherwise they would have realized something was causing the screen to keep getting damaged and raise up. They didn't. So the warranty is useless. I can say, the repair man and front customer service guy are polite and kind. The repair man was willing to look at my phone on the spot but the manager wouldn't allow it. The manager is just very disrespectful and doesn't care about your phone's issues if you're not shoving hundreds of dollars at them. Just an unfortunate situation all around. I've never left a bad review before, but I figured my experience might be able to help others when deciding where to purchase a used phone and where to get one fixed! read more

Our company purchased a supposedly brand new Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 from them via Amazon couple of years ago. After using the phone for exactly one year, we received a notice from AT&T that the phone is a stolen phone so the IMEI has been blacklisted. So we contacted them and asked where they got the phone from and was told that they bought it from a Cricket store that went out of business. We asked them to send us a copy of the invoice from Cricket so that we can use it to dispute it with AT&T but was told by Brian that they only keep invoices for EXACTLY ONE year so they don't have it anymore...What kind of business only keeps invoices for one year? We were basically stuck with a useless tablet with no phone feature since the IMEI on the phone was blacklisted. Brian acted like he was going to help at first but when I requested that he just sends us a new phone that is not blacklisted, he got testy and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I would not recommend buying any new phones from this company. They sell stolen phones!!! read more
