When I walked in, I was greeted right away. They have a scanner at the front entrance, which makes it easy to check in by using your membership barcode through the app. They were also running a studio class challenge, so I decided to try out some of the studio classes. I really enjoyed the Studio Flow classes I attended. The instructors were friendly, welcoming, and did a great job guiding the class. I didn't realize the room was heated at first, so that was definitely a surprise, but I stuck with it and ended up enjoying the experience. I'm looking forward to trying more of the classes they offer since there's a great variety, and the app makes it easy to view schedules and plan workouts. One thing I noticed was that several of the water bottle refill stations were out of service, which was disappointing. However, the amenities overall look newer, and they have plenty of equipment, space, and options available. I love that they offer extras like massage chairs, a cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. They have different membership tiers, and the highest tier includes access to all the amenities. I'm excited to continue using this location and making it part of my routine!

The pool is just 25 yards, but otherwise good and not busy. The locker room is very nice and clean, one of the better gym locker rooms I've ever been in. The upstairs workout area is also good, with basically everything you could need, including squat racks, cable machines, free weights, etc. They are missing a ski erg, I would like to see one of those. Staff was super friendly. Overall, a great gym in Downtown Indy!

The front desk people don't know a damn thing about terms of training or class contracts. My advise: BEWARE! They say they are Christians, but all I see right now is lots of deceptive capitalism cheating a retiree from money that needs to be returned. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH MONEY OF ANY KIND OR AMOUNT! My experience was with the location in Beech Grove, Thompson Road. It's called the judgement free…read morezone but should also be called the manners and gym etiquette free zone. Several customers there apparently think they can reserve equipment simply by leaving a water bottle or towel or other personal item laying next to an apparatus while they go workout on another one. I had finally had enough and when I went to the front desk to complain to a couple of young men who seemed more concerned with enjoying their down time than dealing with the issue. One said that "They can't say anything to the customer". I replied, "So a customer can reserve half the gym for themselves and you wouldn't say anything?" All I got was a blank look! My friend and I cancelled our memberships that day. I asked to speak to a manager who was conveniently not there and apparently doesn't work weekends, so I called on Monday. The manager was there but apparently not interested in addressing customer concerns either. I would never recommend Planet Fitness to anyone!

I just started coming to this gym. Some of the machines…read morereally hurt. Like the padding is very minimal and some are hard to operate. They are awkward and I can't seem to adjust to where they don't hurt. The machines are different from my other gym, these seem to be lower quality. Most of the kill switches are broke at the clips on the treadmill. The water station is clean. They have no paper towels in the bathroom only the air dyers which I don't use because they are unsanitary. I do like the locker doors that actually have holes in them to allow ventilation. The bathrooms could be cleaner.. like most gyms. But the machines don't look like they are cleaned often either. I don't use the tanning beds or the massage chairs but considering someone was found dead after 3 days in one of the other locations' tanning bed, I'm guess cleaning isn't a high priority for planet fitness period.
