Great Location and has all the same amenities as my home gym in Beech Grove. Atmosphere and staff are great at both locations. Only thing I would suggest is restocking paper towels more often. At BG there is a button you can push if a unit is out of paper, E Washington doesn't have that. But everything else is absolutely great and clean and I love having a second Home gym there. I just started coming to this gym. Some of the machines really hurt. Like the padding is very minimal and some are hard to operate. They are awkward and I can't seem to adjust to where they don't hurt. The machines are different from my other gym, these seem to be lower quality. Most of the kill switches are broke at the clips on the treadmill. The water station is clean. They have no paper towels in the bathroom only the air dyers which I don't use because they are unsanitary. I do like the locker doors that actually have holes in them to allow ventilation. The bathrooms could be cleaner.. like most gyms. But the machines don't look like they are cleaned often either. I don't use the tanning beds or the massage chairs but considering someone was found dead after 3 days in one of the other locations' tanning bed, I'm guess cleaning isn't a high priority for planet fitness period. read more

I've been a member at this location for almost 10 years. There's new equipment that's been added and it's really nice. But I have a major problem. The men's showers. They've recently changed the shower curtains. The older shower curtains would go across the entire shower bar. These new curtains do not go all the way across the bar! there's a 4" gap on each side that leaves the person in the shower exposed to whomever walks by. This gym is pretty spread out. There is plenty of air flow which some locations struggle with. I was able to easily find machines and didn't have to wait for them. They have the both hydromassage beds and loungers. The layout of the locker rooms are probably some of the best I have ever seen. Sadly the water pressure is REALLY low! I've seen pressure drop when someone flushes a toilet but this is the first time that I have seen the water literally stop when that happens. I like this planet fitness location a lot! It's a huge space, the front desk workers are always friendly and make sure to greet everyone, and say goodbye as they leave. It makes it more welcoming atmosphere. I like the nonjudgement zone mentality they have here. It makes it like we can all do workout and no one is better than anyone else or worse because we're in different shapes. The membership allows you to visit any gym, anywhere. You don't have to go to the same one all the time. You also can pay $10 just for you, or pay $20 for a black card membership and take a guest. You get perks with it like using the massage chair, tanning beds, and as I mentioned taking a guest with you. The gym being so big is nice because there are plenty of machines. There's enough that I never feel like I can't use the machines I want. I've run into that with other gyms. The locker room area is very nice and always clean. They have a nice shower section. The lockers you do need your own lock for, I wish that was different. I went to one gym where your membership card was the lock. That was pretty cool, hopefully they can adapt that down the line. There are a ton of TVs playing different stations, so lots of variety. Each cardio machine has a head phone plug in so you can watch and listen to the tv. That's really nice. They have it sectioned off. There is the cardio section (which is huge), the free weight section, the machine weight section, the ab section, and the stretch section. There is also a circuit section for classes I believe. It's really a nice gym for a pretty cheap price. I definitely recommend! read more

The gym is nice and with a nice layout. The staff is friendly BUT ONE BIG PROBLEM the mens showers do not have hot water!!! And a cold shower for a 55 year old guy SUCKS after a work out! Also they only have three (one is a handi-cap) and one regular one is broken. But doesn't matter when they have not had hot water three of the four times I have been there last three weeks! And this time the bathroom toilets were disgusting and the bathroom reeked of urine so not cleaned for a good while. Please fix the hot water a gym needs to have showers for people going to work after working out!! read more

I'm glad the equipment is regularly updated, always a good thing. I'm not sure why so many of the TVs on cardio equipment don't work; either they won't come on or you can't change the channels - very unsatisfactory and a problem for many months. I don't understand why the music is played so loud that you can't hear your own headset or earbuds. It hasn't always been that way and staff said they couldn't change it when asked. Wouldn't recommend PF anymore and mainly use YMCA because of these issues. read more

I love being a member here. The facility and machines are well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful when needed. Directly across from Washington Square mall, it is very conveniently located. The only downside is that it shares a parking lot with the $1 movie theatre so be careful pulling in because some people stop their vehicles to check out what's playing (fender-bender beware). There's plenty of cardio machines available and I've never had to wait very long for a strength machine. They also have tanning beds (don't know much about those) and water-pressure massage tables. I've been going to this one for the past few weeks because it's on my way home from work and it's been pretty good all around until recently. The last time I was there was March 3rd . I woke up the next day with a rash on my back and as the days go on it's getting worse and any over the counter medication doesn't seem to work. It's a good gym but it obviously isn't being cleaned properly either by patrons or employees. The last thing I used there was tanning bed 9 , I would assume that's where I may have received a rash. I do like the gym , it's quite and spread out, but I'm not so sure if I would like to return to this location anytime soon. Always wipe off any and all equipment BEFORE and after . I am from California I visited this gym in early morning for workout i saw its very clean that time not too much crowd. Only employee matt is working that time and he cleaned all stuff that time i talk to him and gave appreciate because he did perfectly cleaning and sanitizing. I joined planet fitness almost a year ago. I have visited several locations including Greenwood and Thompson. I live in Greenwood and go out of my way to come to this location.This is by far my favorite location. The staff is so much more friendlier and they make you feel like family. This is the first time that I have ever joined a gym and I don't regret it one bit. I joined because a friend of mine had recommended it to me. I pay $20 a month and have access to everything the gym has to offer. Tanning (which I don't use), massage chairs, hydro massage beds, Beauty Enhancement are the extras that I am paying for. As an upgraded member you are also entitled to bring a guest, and I bring my fiancé every weekend with me. This place is very clean, I end up working out during the busiest times at this gym (after 5:00) but I still can easily find cardio machines that are open. Staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this gym! The only reason why I lowered it from one star is the location. It's near the old theatre across from the Krogers. It's not hard to get into or out of, but it can be hard to find if you are inviting potential guests that aren't familiar with the area. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Their staff will tell you anything to get a contracted membership with you even false statements on no penalty early cancellations and then when you go to cancel, they tell you that you can not cancel until the end of your contract. Then after your forced to be charges for nothing for a whole year, and you show up on the day it is supposed to end, they still try to charge you more to cancel. I was given the district managers information and upon no answer via phone or email, they finally allow a cancellation after charging just one more months fee because their shady AF. read more

I wanted to like this location after having visited several others, but in the end, despite the fact that it is cleaner and larger than the others, I have to give it a poor review. The management of PF clearly does not support it's employees, as the location(s) are continuously understaffed and turnover is high. This leads to a lot of inconsistencies and missed opportunities. Bullying customers (PF calls them "lunkheads") are plenty, and the staff members that are working are often incapable and lacking in basic knowledge of the equipment and procedures. Management is inattentive and unwilling to deal with serious issues like breaches of security or hostile clients. The whole "no judgement zone" is a joke. Tayler is my trainer explaining the machines to me and getting a program set up. He is very understanding of my current limitations and works with me accordingly. Horrible experience. This gym is a trap. When the gym first moved their financial management to ABC they failed to bill me for acouple months. Now the gym refuses to cancel my membership over late fees and missing monthly payments that exist to no fault of my own. Management staff is rude and practically useless yet when you call anyone else higher up they claim they have no power to do anything to help because each gym is individually owned. This place is a joke, if you ever encounter any sort of billing issue due yourself a favor and just contact the better business Bureau because the local management will do nothing and the corporate management will claim they cannot do anything. There are so many better places that will not steal your money and I advise doing some better research before you start a membership here. read more

Great gym. Has really nice equipment and the faculty is amazing. All of them are extremely friendly and are more than willing to help you with anything that you need.
