I've never been a gym person, but capture has truly changed my life. It's not just a gym, it's family! Thank you Earl!

Updated: Nov 14, 2023…read more I have been working out in a 6week program for the last 3-wks. I still stand behind my first review. The classes are hard (it's been years since I worked out) but 100% worth signing up with them. I have never met such a great group of people/trainers - very informative, pushed you to work harder and cheers you on not only for the last sets but that you showed up and did it. They continue to check on you when you are not in the gym and are available for any questions or just to listen. I am almost 50 and have been in the gym scene 30+ years and this place beats every single one that I have been to. ********** ************ When an appointment was set - from that moment, I was sent text messages checking auto reminders, a picture of who I was meeting with, a short video clip on how excited she was to meet me, what my motivation was, a map and pictures of the location and their parking. That alone felt like a group cared about me and was happy for me to want to meet them. When I got there, I was greeted with a smile and that person already knew my name and introduced himself. My meeting with Andrea was informative and the information she gave me solidified that this gym and staff was a place where I would be held accountable and have a cheering section. I felt like I might have actually found a team that would cheer for successes and rally for disappointments.

I checked this place out per a reference…read more Buiding is Golden; feel when you walk in is friendly and welcoming I can't remember the lady's name, but the person who does Meal Prep, knows her stuff, hire her, lol And she doesn't BS you; she tells you the truth. Cost: $480 month + 1x Activation Fee of $99 * includes what I'm assuming was 3 - 30 min training sessions weekly * nutrition * membership(gym access) The kid tasked with talking to me was friendly at the start but got really upset when I started asking basic questions. I asked who authorizes the workouts and nutrition plans, I asked what his credentials were to be a trainer, and what his background was. The person I was working with is 21 and has no background in training. He just was a person that lifted at the gym and then is now a trainer. I wasn't negative to him; I just told him I needed to think about it, which caused this guy to get annoyed with me. I chalk it up to him being young and unable to control his temperament. If you are paying 500 a month, you will ask questions to verify the validity of the product. He stated, "If you do not trust us, then we do not want you here." I explained that you don't just "trust" something blindly; you should do research because that's how you get burned. I passed on this gym as it wasn't the right fit for me. I really did consider it due to the owner; I wanted to and had a card in hand to give it a shot, but trying to give my credit card information and having some kid with an attitude keep saying over and over that if you don't trust us, then we don't want you here when I'm literally giving you a shot. That's just poor business practices. The kid called me up with a poor attitude and tone after I spoke with the owner and was excited about signing up. He reminded me of when you tell your kid to mow the lawn and he really doesn't want to; I had to stop this kid mid-conversation because his attitude was so bad and ask him if he had some personal issue with me or was offended that I had asked basic questions. I even apologized to him if he felt offended by my questions but explained that I just needed to know the source of the training as I wanted to make sure it was effective. He was just agitated that I wasn't blindly just signing up. He'll figure it out as he gains more experience. The owner does have certifications, even if he doesn't say it, I looked it up, and he is tied to a few. He also knows the process as he has put in the time. The "trainer" he tied me to at the start was the only thing that had me pause on this and move on. Always do your research on trainers. $480 a month is a lot for good training in Indiana, so ensure you get your value.

They have been welcoming and kind as I learn proper form. I started typing out staff members' names but, honestly, they have all been fantastic! Myriad has multiple membership levels; mine is the Bootcamp + yoga plan. I'm still working back into fitness routines, but I've seen a lot of progress in this short time. So who knows, maybe CrossFit classes will start down the road as I build. My biggest surprise in joining this gym, though, was the yoga classes. This has been huge as I need to stretch out, but honestly, the warm yoga is probably the highest calorie burn I've seen in an hour's time. Oh and if you're looking for a gym, now is the perfect time to join as they prepare to open up their new space in the Stutz Building.

I've gotten to push myself and try movements I'm not used to 3. THE COACHES! Honestly the coaches are the best and make sure you're prepared for the workout, talk you through modifications to the exercises, etc. The class can be as challenging as you make it! 4. The group setting. It's so much more motivating (for me at least) to work out with a group with others pushing you. NapTown has so much more to offer than group fitness, too - yoga, nutrition, community events, workshops, etc. They've taken so many steps to help mitigate the pandemic, including virtual class options and designated workout space clearly marked out on the floor. They've been so communicative through the entire ordeal. Between the members-only Facebook page and weekly newsletter, I always feel informed about happenings and updates at the gym. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a fitness community to call home!

I DONT LIKE WRITING BAD REVIEWS ... this is to commend the manager and Solomon on their efforts…read more I literally just moved to the state from California and I was a bit skeptical because everyone here seems to have bad attitudes and be very upset all the time. And I would think the gym is the one place where I could avoid that type of vibe so I've been here consistently 3 to 4 times a week for the last four months and I haven't had a problem here each employee is usually very pleasant and it's usually very clean. However, an incident locations here someone died in the tanning booth and I've been avoiding the gym for about a week because of that finally came back and I did an amazing hour and a half workout and was about to use the massage area like I do as usual however, there is a work year that I haven't seen because I don't usually come in the morning Solomon and his energy is standoffish and unpleasant. I asked which location had the incident because if it's this one I want to avoid the spa area and if it's not I want to avoid going to the location where the incident occurred he ignored me at first and then I asked again he said he's not at liberty to say and I asked if it's a near location he exhaled in irritation as if this isn't his job to assist then revealed the location I said thank you and asked which massage chair was available and he just kept sweeping I asked 2 more times and he began to tell me but he had such gross energy for it to be 930a I decided to object the massage. ***I did wait a few mins and the manager came out I approached and asked if I could have a few questions answered and she answered them all kindly politely respectfully and assured me there's never been an incident here which I believe it's always pleasant and most of us are regulars. She also provided insight on how frustrating it can be to get so many questions and not have liberty to provide answers and I was able to understand Solomans frustration and I apologize for not understanding. Thank you everyone at this location for consistently pleasant experiences!

For context on cleanliness, the same piece of toilet paper has been stuck to the wall of the women's bathroom for at least two weeks now. The equipment is old and in poor condition (the braided rope attachments look like well-loved dog toys, adjustment knobs are missing from benches, free weights are only in 5 lb increments, etc.). Popular machines don't have duplicates. The space is also poorly lit with flickering lights and the temperature is regulated with only one fan. It gets the job done, but it isn't the best space to do so. Given the prices of all other gyms in the area, I see why people suck it up and continue to work out here, and I'll probably do the same. You get what you pay for.
