The inside of this unit is completely remodeled and just beautiful! It is a very quiet community within these two buildings. I am pretty sensitive to loud noises and you can't hear a thing if the windows are closed. The railroad tracks close to my unit are rarely used and when they are it is a slow transport for moving the locomotive, I rather enjoyed hearing the occasional train. The management company is responsive and helpful but like any good renter, we have to do our part too. As soon as we moved in we were told that this place was "newly renovated". That is a lie. They just paint over the walls and rent it out to the next person. On our door we had a "misfits" sticker that wasn't taken off. The apartment wasn't even cleaned the day we moved in. The A/C didn't work ( which doesn't cool the house at all btw) and we had a broken dishwasher for the first 3 months of living there. We had a window that was broken, fridge with no drawers, and cabinets that had so much water damage. We also had people come to look at our house without any notice whatsoever. No email or flyer on our door. They wouldn't answer my calls either. Deerwoods response was "we thought we let you know". That made us feel like our personal space was invaded and no one cared. Every time I made a maintenance request it took forever for someone to come out and most of the time it wasn't properly fixed. 2 months before we moved out the ceiling caved in with water and soon became moldy. They covered it up and called it good. We had to move out early and STILL PAY RENT!!! We were afraid we'd get sick. Not good living conditions. But they don't care, all they want is your money! The list could go on.. This place never felt like home. Deerwoods management is a waste of your money. Don't rent from them! I consider myself very nice and understanding but this place was downright awful!!! I would love if the owner or manager could contact me. I don't want to ever talk to anyone in the office again; as they avoided me and are so rude. I plan on taking deerwoods to court. Basic questions regarding building features, management quality, neighborhood differences, lease terms, and unit availability often went unanswered or were met with vague responses. Rather than acting as a knowledgeable advisor, the experience felt more like a sales transaction focused on getting me to sign a lease as quickly as possible. What concerned me most was the apparent lack of interest in understanding my actual needs and priorities. Instead of providing thoughtful recommendations based on my criteria, I felt repeatedly pushed toward specific units without any meaningful explanation as to why they were a good fit. The entire process gave the impression that the primary objective was securing a commission rather than helping a client make an informed housing decision. As a result, I ended up conducting most of my own research, contacting properties directly, verifying information independently, and learning far more on my own than through the service I was supposedly receiving. He never oversold us on any home and really listened to what we wanted and needed in a home. After we finally found the right one for us, we ran into a snag- the people buying our home were great on paper but had lots of issues getting their loan. Long story short Mike made the sale of both homes happen and I truly think they wouldn't have without his tireless effort and expertise. He truly went above and beyond for us, even at midnight when a last minute extension had to be done. He lost sleep with us during the stressful moments of house buying because he truly wanted to help us.
