Was charged for extras that was supposed to be in the price overall such as removal of old tub and surround. Dumped a lot of it in my woods and my recycle bin. Then charged extra for dumping. Most disappointing job I've ever had done and way too many overcharges.

The workers were nice and helpful but when the quality of workmanship and items included were questioned, the owner got irritated and made statements that were clearly unprofessional. We were able to discuss the issues and get resolution. My recommendation if using this company especially is to write down all work in detail of what you expect and not leave open statements like complete restoration in the contract because what you might think that includes does not from there interruption. Also even though it says painting on the side of there van, I was told many times after the first payment, "I don't normally do finishing work and painting". The job at my house included drywall work, a complete bathroom reconstruction, multiple walls finishing and painting, two rooms with drop ceilings installed and multiple room floor installation as well as two custom showers. In my opinion this was too big of a project for Lawrence's and if done over, instead of having an email sent to discuss items to be done, I would have demanded all items be itemized on the contract. Just be cautious and demand every detail in writing before they start or you will find yourself going over budget to get the things done to your satisfaction.

Incredibly shotty work and poor customer service. Refused to accept responsibility for damages…read morecaused to window as they chucked old shingles off the roof. Refused to replace rotten plywood, saying it was "just a soft spot," and we could "brace it from inside the attic." Attached the dripedge with common T50 staples (against IRC code). Cut shingles too short (also against IRC code). Cussed me out on the phone when I tried to address the problems with them, given that we are still well within labor warranty. The owner Subankia Edminster (Carpenter) also likes to put up 5 star reviews for her own business or have other Carpenter family members add 5 star reviews to raise review stats! :x

Peaks and Valleys installed a new roof for my husband and I 3 years ago. They damaged a window on…read moreinstall and refused to take the blame. Clearly roofing shingles with nails had been chucked off the roof, scraped the glass and cracked the casing. EVEN THOUGH there was no damage before, damaged now after you AND we had given you a tarp and boards to protect our property with?! :/ OK Peaknvalleys.... NOW we discover, as the entire dripedge and gutter are falling off the house. They used a staple hammer that dented the dripedge and damaged the fascia board underneath. So whatever weak staples were there, half bent and broken, have let loose of the now rotten fascia board...all because they didn't want to do this properly. I set up a consultation as this roof is supposed to have a lifetime warranty, two young men came out and told us it is not their problem. I called again, dissatisfied with the answer I have received, knowing their company did not complete the job properly, and Jim hung up on me, refusing to allow me to speak to the manager. When I finally got ahold of the manager, it became clear why I was having so much trouble. These is a scam. The manager screamed at me for treating her employees so poorly. I HAD questioned the competency of her workers, but who wouldn't?? The dripedge was supposed to be new with all new roof and is dented in several spots, with so many bent staples in it, that is it clear they either A. Chose to ignore an already bad fascia board OR B. Didn't ensure the fascia was properly nailed into place before they tried to nail in the dripedge with their weak T50 (common household) staples!!! Well, the manager/ owner allowed to me to introduce myself, before she raised her voice at me and hung up on me as well. Don't go with this business. They offer a warranty that THEY DO NOT HONOR!! And the level of incompetence is UNREAL!!!!! If I could give them a zero, I would.

A group of guys from this place came to replace a pool liner (round shape above ground) last summer…read morefor my mother in law. I came by that weekend to check it out, and found two partially burned cigarillos between the pool deck boards, clearly left by the workers. Less than a week later, the pool exploded at the seam. My mother in law tried to call them the following day, and the owner (Rick) was RUDE and yelled at her about calling his "men" unprofessional (I believe the cigar butts speak for themselves) and that the shell had existing damage. Why didn't his "professional" expert installers warn my mother about the damage (they claim) that would ultimately cause the pool to collapse BEFORE installing the liner that would then again cover it so we again would not be aware of damage? Why did the owner of a small business yell at and upset a customer when they called about a justifiably and OBVIOUSLY stressful situation that filled the neighbors' basement with water? Ultimately he was rude to her on the phone and offered no workable recourse for the money she wasted for this job. Do we want to talk about professionalism? It's unclear if there was existing damage to the metal she'll that caused the weakening, as it IS NOT VISIBLE WITH THE DECK AND LINER INSTALLED. I expect a pool person to do the following in order for me to consider calling them any synonym of "professional", not consider calling a lawyer or the media, and be generally forgiving of what may or may not have been an oversight of his professional cigar-smoking staff: 1: inspect and notify homeowner of any damage to concealed parts before installing a high-tension rubber sock in it, re-concealing any damage and filling with thousands of lbs of water 2: pick up your litter and trash before leaving the worksite 3: be polite and understanding to homeowner who just lit (drowned) $1000 to your business and is understandably alarmed (and not rude to you) when calling 4: don't dodge phone calls from her son in law when he's trying to get in touch with you to discuss this ridiculous situation and your crappy attitude toward her. She's having a new pool shell and liner installed by another company. The least this business could have done was offer a new liner since their installers did not properly inspect the work site before slapping a new liner in an (apparently?) unsuitable shell. This business does bad work, does not ensure their work is placed and done to a suitable structure before walking away, and offers no efforts to resolve the situation amicably and even goes so far as to be rude and aggressive to the customer when contacted about the problem. I'll not recommend this company for anything but one star reviews on every site I can locate. I'll not recommend contacting them unless you have a thick skin and enjoy abuse. Hire them if you enjoy cigarillos. They'll share. Other than that, stay clear of this company who has no clue how to deal with people with maturity and class.
