Murphy's Son Chimney Cleaning did a fantastic job with my fireplace. He squeezed us in on short notice (about a week out), during what has to be a very busy time for anyone in this business. I had to have my fireplace inspected, cleaned, have an old gas unit removed, and had numerous questions for the gentleman that came. (I'm horrible with names and can't remember it.) We were hoping to remove an old gas unit and use our fireplace as wood burning since our fireplace is too small to use an insert. He was just supposed to come clean and inspect, but he helped us remove the old unit and provided us with a cap to cover the old vent for only a few bucks extra. He went way above and beyond what I expected and even hung around to answer some questions for me and my husband as we had never had a functional fireplace before. He didn't try to upsell us on a bunch of stuff we didn't need, and he was so kind. We had questions about everything - safety measures, what materials we needed to purchase, the age of the fireplace, etc. He was very knowledgeable and eager to answer them. He did a fantastic job doing what was intended, went above and beyond, and didn't try to rush us. I would HIGHLY recommend Murphy's Son to anyone. Oh! This company is fantastic. We had some things we needed to fix in order to sell our house. They were very quick in responding and came out the next day for a few small repairs. We later needed our chimney fixed. They came out and gave and estimate and actually did the job right then and there. They were very reasonable and cheaper than other quotes we had gotten. He was very honest and helpful. He also showed me pictures of the work her had done since it was all on the roof. Very professional, very reasonable pricing, and quick service. I promise you will not find a more honest man in this business, Murphy uses American made parts (unless it's not available), & he will be prompt, none of this wondering if he'll be there sometime between 8 am - 8 pm, when your appointment is made, that's when he'll be there. Contacted Murphy's to have my chimney cleaned and inspected. While cleaning he noticed I didn't have a working damper and was losing a lot of heat through my chimney.
