She told me I had to go online and fill out some forms, send over any labs, and also get any medical notes from my doctor. She told me that they're only a treatment office and they don't diagnose. Then, she told me that if I couldn't get my records from my doctor, they would not schedule me. She refused to have me come over and sign a consent form for my doctors office so they could request the records which is normal practice. Then, I literally said this isn't personal, but if it doctors's office doesn't diagnose and is only willing to see patients if they get all of their own medical records, it doesn't sound like they are really in it for patient health. So, she said to me that I could say back that patients every day do what they need to and bring their medical records in. I'm just surprised that these people are the gate keepers for professional and good medical doctors. I am more than sure that the physicians there do not know that this woman literally stood in the way of me being able to have an appointment with them for them to decide if they wanted to see me or not. Not everyone can get their medical records and that's why doctors offices do coordination of care. It is common practice for a patient of a new provider to sign a consent form so the doctor from the previous practice can get the full medical record. She didn't like talking to me, so then she hung up on me. I hope the doctors or someone in that office read this message. This woman literally made the decision on if those doctors are going to treat me or not. I also have a hard time believing that they don't diagnose. Why are you an endocrinologist if you don't diagnose?

I just recently had reached out to them regarding a need that technically their prices doesn't provide, however, they still were able to prove to me how much they care about their patients by listening to my difficult situation, attempting to problem solve with proper resources and avenues, and gave a referral to another organization that was in their repertoire of networking which was so mind blowing! However, upon having two instances where the services I desperately needed were pushed aside at this location, I contacted Pineapple again with desperation and asked what can I do?! Without hesitation, my case manager was able to get in contact with a more reputable source, have them push the urgency of my case to initiate that person reach out to their supervisor, get back to me with approval to give my info to them, and then provide me with that persons contact info in less than 30 min! They help with patients that have difficulties with infections. I will say they have a very respectable place, and I would recommend it to people who have medical issues. They sure did help us alot. Regarding Brandon office…read more.. Great central location. Easy access. Beautifully decorated waiting room. Comfortable chairs. Polite staff. That's where it ends! This is the most inefficiently run doctors office I have ever been to. Be prepared to wait at least 1/2 an hour past appointment time. I have actually waited 2 1/2 hours (it became a challenge so I waited). I was told I needed a "special chair" then was placed in a regular examining room...? I have needed a PICC line placed three times in six months because they were too anxious to stop IV antibiotics. The PA stopped IV antibiotics and had the PICC removed before the infection was completely gone. They have prescribed massive doses only to stop them completely. I have seen a doctor twice in the office in six months. I normally see the PA, which would be okay if my infection were a simple staph infection. But it's not, and has caused other serious health issues. All because of the rush to stop treatment. The office staff has unnecessary difficulty scheduling home health care. I know my insurance covers care because I've had care before, as well as the fact my wife works as an administrator in this very field. My supplies don't get ordered therefore not delivered. The nurse was not scheduled or the agency even contacted. I then get a frantic call that I need to do something right away because THEY have not followed through...?! In short, doctors are good, staff is polite, but doctors need to supervise THEIR representatives better or hire more experienced, qualified managers to oversee the office staff. It is people's health and lives they are handling everyday. I'm very fortunate to have a wife who knows the ins and outs. What's right and wrong and what's possible and reasonable to expect from a health care "PROFESSIONAL". Know what you need, know your rights, question your physician and demand good care. I would NOT recommend this doctors office.

But thank God it wasn't a bad experience. We've been taking our son here for almost a year because his primary care doctor is at this location. Our doctor has an assigned nurse which is one we appreciate; she already knows is and looks forward to seeing our son each time! It just makes everything a more pleasurable experience and one that's personal simply because she's warm, friendly, and very personal. I mean, he knows her or at least recognizes her from the previous appointment. So we gave this place a 4 star, nice folks, great doctor who's very informative and knowledgeable, plus they offer great customer care. The only thing is if you come early to your appointment or late to your appointment or on time, there's a minimum of a 30 minute wait before the nurse sees you.
