Excellent professional service by Bill. The massage relieved kinks in my neck, that I didn't know I had!

There are times when you want Zen -- Botanical Spa can provide that (I've been going here for…read moreyears!!!) But then there are times you want to kick back and have a great chat with wonderful staff, like you are longtime girlfriends getting together to gossip. Botanical Spa & Salon offers everything you could want. My husband and I have enjoyed massages there, both couples and alone. This was the first time they accommodated me and I got a mani/pedi done my Carol. It's her place and the pride she takes in her staff and her work is unbelievable. Carol wants to listen to your needs and your day (like an therapist who is doing your cuticles). She catered to my needs and understood I'm not a girly girl, so getting my nails done in gray and blue was a super treat. She spent time to listen and to laugh -- she and her staff (super high 5s for Nicole and Sandra at the front desk) were unbelievably fun and excited for us to have a great time. Having folks who want you to have a good time and the best possible spa experience makes the entire experience more than a treat. You want to go back because, like Cheers, everyone knows your name and everyone knows your aches and pains and if you want pretty blue on your toes! The Botanical is inside the Marriott so parking is not an issue. Always try to call a day or two ahead of time to get the time you want (even though they accommodated us since we were coming in from out of town). They are not pushy with buying "extra" services or supplies or goodies -- they advise you if you like what they used or what you smell (the place always smells incredible). They are on time and courteous if running late. You will feel like a million bucks without paying a million bucks. The pricing is more than fair and the results are absolutely wonderful! I cannot thank everyone at the Botanical for being caring and being a lot of fun. If this is your first or your sixtieth massage you are in for a treat. Take the time and make yourself feel indulged!

We found the Botanical Spa & Salon on Amazon Local. So to make sure we could use the deal immediately (as in next day), I called before purchasing to make sure they would accept it. The guy told me that I didn't need to buy the deal and they would honor the price. You would just pay them instead of paying Amazon, so that's what we did. They happened to have a slot open so the timing worked for us. Turns out, it wasn't actually a couples massage. You're actually in separate, adjoining rooms, and they just leave that door open. That's fine but if that's the case, they shouldn't advertise it as a "couples massage." Other than that, the massage was nice - nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about. The deal also included an add-on service, which was either a back scrub or a foot mask. I opted for the back scrub. They were a little rough on that but it was worth it because my back felt really smooth afterwards. With a massage, you also get access to their fitness center, hot tub, and pool. There's also a locker room and showers but the showers are pretty dismal-looking. One of the two doesn't even have a soap/shampoo dispenser. I probably wouldn't be back because the facilities didn't seem too spa-like (especially when you're sharing with hotel guests, since it's located within the Marriott). Plus, I feel like I could find a better deal elsewhere.

I found a few places with some eh reviews and then came across Body Connections - reviews were good with some yucky groupon ones thrown in. I've heard horror stories from business owners about groupon customers so I didn't pay any attention to them and just followed my gut. I followed the link to her website and checked her out - looked at pricing ......$25 per tan SAY WHAT?? $25 per tan. I immediately booked one on line. I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment and was greeted by Nadine the owner/tanning tech. She explained everything to me - how she tans - her formula - her background - how many years she's been there. Then she sprayed me. I've been to many spray tan places. Both organic and regular. This was BY FAR the BEST tan ever. Nothing weird on my hands and feet. NOTHING. My legs were a bit red so I texted her about it. She replied and told me not to worry. It will turn to brown - she was correct. My tan? It's flawless. It's $25 and FLAWLESS. I will be going every 7 days or so (depending on how it lasts) Amazing experience.

Redeeming online deals are always a tricky business because you never know if you'll receive the same service and reception as a full-paying customer or a regular. But here, it was a breeze. When I called over the phone, the receptionist readily accepted my redemption and scheduled me for an appointment in the not-too-distant future. De Beauté salon is easily one of the largest salons I've visited, taking up an entire multi-story building. Parking is easy with an adjoining lot and the first floor essentially functions as a receiving lobby. Here, receptionists will check you in, tell you which floor you're heading toward, and hand you a slip of paper that details the service you're receiving (to give to your service provider). I was paired with Antoine for the Brazilian blowout, and I wish I'd taken before/after pictures because wow, what a change. I'd arrived with frizzy hair that was approximating a Brillo-pad texture and frizz (thanks to a bleach job I'd recently gotten done), but after a short hour and a half in the chair, my tresses had been tamed to a silky smoothness that I hadn't felt on my head for some time. I've since washed my hair a few times, and I'm happy to report that this keratin treatment has staying power. For those sensitive to strong chemicals, note that the formula they use contains formaldehyde. I appreciated that they set up the chair by two strong fans and an open door, but my eyes still watered a bit here and there.
