We threw our kids bday here and everyone had a blast. I love that they had a little kitchenette to work with, and the staff is very helpful to get things moving along. I just wish there was more seating for adults to be comfortable also, but the kids were absolutely thought of through and through. Just had my son's 7th birthday here and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. We were debating between having it at home or here and am so glad we chose this place. It was easy to book, they dissuaded us from getting too many pizzas (still ended up with extra), they only counted the young kids and they did far more than I thought with regards to set up and breakdown of the party. They had pretty much everything you needed for the party and all you needed to do is bring a few decorations to personalize it. I left the balloons and food in the room and when I came back, they had all the tables set up. with places silverware and napkins and the cake was even laid out with all of our decorations set up for us. The staff was a tad aloof, but they knew their roles and were able to pivot and be flexible with me arriving a bit earlier and changing the amount of time we had in the room. IF you want to have pizza, you have to go through them for (Jets) and the price is either the same or a tad bit better than what you would get on your own. They vacuumed and cleaned the playroom before we got in and broke down the party and had our stuff in a cart when it was time. All I could ask for. read more

We had my son's 6th birthday party here April 23rd. I was very hesitant because I was told by the owners that there would be another party still going on in the party room at the same time my party started. I was worried I wouldn't get to decorate the room or have it set up the way I wanted. I decided to chance it and I'm so glad I did! The day of the party, we gave our decorations and food we brought to the party host and went into the inflatable room. There were so many different inflatables to play with. We had 27 kids and their parents come and there was still plenty of room and tons of things for all the kids to do. The only hiccup was I paid for face painting and the air brushing machine didn't work. I was given a refund for it, but I did have a few disappointed kids. I peaked into the party room half way through to see if the other party was done and if I could set it up in our Super Mario theme and to my surprise the two party hosts had the room completely cleaned and set up. It looked fantastic - probably better than I could have done lol! The transition from the inflatable room to the party room was a smooth transition and we had no other problems. I'm very pleased with how the party turned out and I would recommend having a party here at this hidden gem for sure! read more

I'm the father of a 9 year old. I've been to a lot of inflatable play spaces. A few I don't want to talk about here...it was college...I was experimenting. I digress. I came to Inflatable Playspaces to attend a child's b-day (I was too lazy to spell out 'birthday') party. As far as indoor inflatable places go, this place is pretty on par with the others. It's essentially a warehouse with a bunch of inflatable thingies (scientific term) inside. This location was fairly clean. I could tell there was some wear and tear on the inflatables. They seemed somewhat clean though. The boxing gloves in the inflatable boxing ring needed a little TLC, but the floors were pretty clean considering a bunch of children (like myself) run around and cause mayhem here on a daily basis. The staff wasn't the most approachable and outgoing bunch of folks I've ever encountered at a kids' play place. Not a great first impression. They seemed content to be at work, but that's about it. When the party moved into the little room outside of the play area, the staff turned it up a notch. They were incredibly helpful and interacted with the kids as they were serving foods and such. It was a really hot day when I came to Royal Oak on this fateful day. The party room temperature seemed to rise to a level that would be inviting for the Devil. The staff cranked the AC on after of few minutes of misery. All was well after everyone cooled off a bit. I did not have a bad experience at Inflatable Playspaces. I really like a bounce house that lets the adults have fun too. Wow... what an incredible experience we just had at Inflatable Playspaces. We hosted our parenting group's monthly meetup, which doubled as a 3rd birthday party for all of the children. Everyone had a PHENOMENAL time, and beyond that, working with Inflatable Playspaces was basically the best experience I could imagine with a party venue! The women we worked with (and I am SO SAD that I didn't get their names so I could mention them individually!) were responsive to our calls and were helpful right from the moment we made our first inquiry. We showed up today with pop, water, and cake, and they set everything up in the room for us, and for a nominal fee they also put out balloons and tablecloths. The woman at the front desk also offered to order our pizza and make sure that it got set up about 10 minutes before we were scheduled for the party room, and we gladly agreed. As another reviewer mentioned, you can order Jets (or pretty much whatever other food you want) -- you are not required to order from in-house catering here. The inflatable adventure room isn't glamorous by any means, but it was absolutely perfect for what we needed (and I imagine it would be perfect for any child's birthday party as well). They had a good variety of inflatables, and the kids had a marvelous time. We came in for open play and I'm not sure who had more fun my husband and I or our 1 1/2 year old! What a great hidden gem! They offer open play Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-noon for $8 per child and free for adults. There were a variety of inflatables to jump the wiggles out including a large slide, 2 obstacles courses, and a moon bounce. We were the only people there today so the attendant inflated everything when we arrived. My daughter had a great time climbing and jumping all over. If there were more kids there I think it may have been a bit more limiting for my young daughter. We will definitely be back to help kick the winter blues on open play day and would absolutely consider them as a rental party spot. read more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! The staff is rude and are very unorganized! You do not get enough time to eat and open up presents in the private room! We were rushed in the private room since the party after us was told to come early. Plus the party before us was late leaving. The parties are booked back to back with no time in between. The staff kept coming in and out of the room, so we have many photos/videos of them in our shoot which totally ruined my daughter's first birthday party!!! The owner definitely does not know how to run a business! She definitely does not know what customer service means! The overall experience was horrible. Another reviewer called this a hidden gem, and I wholeheartedly agree! Our home was impacted by the Aug 2014 flooding and our basement is still being renovated. So, we NEEDED a place to have a birthday party. BUT, I didn't want to be crammed in with a bunch of other people OR be forced to serve certain food. Well, I got my wish! For 2 hours, we had a fun, CLEAN party space,ALL TO OURSELVES, with a wonderful, friendly staff who kept us on time without making us feel rushed. We chose the OPTIONAL pizza offer, and had Jet's Pizza delivered, which we wanted. For a reasonable additional fee, FRESH cotton candy bags were given to all our kid guests as they left. The wonderful staff served, cleaned up, and helped out. They had a wagon we could use to bring items in or out of the building, which was helpful because the entrance is about 20 yards from the nearest parking space...sidewalk, but still tricky if you're carrying stuff. Our kid had an AWESOME time, her guests LOVED it, and several other parents asked about their open bounce and/or party packages. Other parents reported happily worn out kids who slept like rocks that night! Keeping as many of our dollars in MI is important to me, and I love that Inflatable Playspaces is family owned and that they do a lot of business in Detroit. read more

We just had my daughter's 5th birthday party here, and it was the perfect spot to have a large kid's party. We had about 16 kids (plus about 20 adults) and had the bounce area for 1.5 hours and another 1/2 hour in the party room for pizza and cake. I really liked that we could just order pizza from Jets and not be charged a ridiculous amount for food through the venue (like some other places). The two women that were working there put up all our decorations and were so incredibly helpful with everything. It was just a really low stress way to throw a kid's birthday party! read more

Called to reserve the Inflatable Hamster Balls for our Relay Event. Miriam even gave us a deal! $125 for the day. We were thrilled. She arrived, got paid, showed someone how to use it, (the balls get inflated by using a leaf blower) and told them not to leave the leaf blowing running on the artificial turf as it would suck up the rubber particles. Shortly after she left, we tried to use them. When turned on, the leaf blower immediately started smoking so we shut it off. Waited a few minutes then tried again. Same thing. We were unable to let even one single person use them. I called the office and they had Miriam call me. When I explained what had happened, she IMMEDIATELY started hollering at me that we had ruined her leaf blower. She hollered, "I told them not to leave the blower running on the field." I responded that in fact that is not at all what had happened. The instructions were followed just as she had given them. I told her that since we had been unable to use the product we rented we would like to just have a refund. Her response? "I'm out a leaf blower, what am I supposed to do?" I kept trying to tell her that no one had improperly used her equipment and she just kept saying that we had. Never ONCE did she offer an apology or anything civil. She told us that she would have her maintenance guy look at the blower to see if anything had been sucked up into it. Because we had a mechanic on site with us, we asked him to take a look at it and see what was wrong. He looked at it and told us that absolutely NOTHING had been sucked up into the motor. There was nothing in there, let alone any rubber from the field. He said the motor just burned out, more than likely from being used improperly (they are not made to inflate things, they are made to blow leaves). I shared this information with Miriam when I spoke with her again to ask for a refund. She said she wouldn't do anything until her maintenance man looked at it. I waited until the end of that week and finally called her back after not hearing from her. But of course, just exactly as I knew she was going to tell me, she says, "My maintenance guy found rubber from your field all up inside the blower. You ruined it. I am not giving you a refund." I responded again that our mechanic looked at it and there was nothing in there and she reiterated that there was burnt rubber all in there. So no refund. You would think in the interest of good business at least one of things things might have happened: 1. She wouldn't have started accusing me of breaking her equipment before she knew anything. 2. She might have apologized for us not being able to use the piece of equipment we paid for. 3. She might have refunded the money for the sake of good business dealings and not to to pay for her shoddy equipment on our back. 4. She might have been honest when her mechanic looked inside and found NOTHING in there. So I say to you, buyer beware!! What I thought was going to be a really cool, fun thing to have at our event turned into a giant headache and dealing with a rude business owner. It's too bad. I would have sent a LOT of business her way. Now, I make sure I tell EVERYONE including the people who recommended her to me to stay away. It's not worth paying your money to have her accuse you of breaking her equipment. What a terrible way to do business. read more

Inflatable Playspaces is a hidden gem... They have five or six big bounce houses (including a huge slide and basketball game), a pleasant, professional staff, light snacks, and a welcome two hour escape from the Michigan winter doldrums on Wednesdays and Fridays, 10AM to Noon. Our three kids have a terrific time bouncing away here (and a nice long quiet nap afterwards). Best thing about IP: unlike other bounce houses, parents get to bounce too!!! What a blast, hope they extend their hours to weekend open plays soon. So much fun! read more

The concept of this place is really fun, however the execution is HORRIFIC! Let me first start of by saying, we had a reservation from 2-4 p.m. this past Saturday to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday. We arrive to find out that the party before us was still in the room that we had reserved, so we were seated in another room to wait for them to clear out. At about 2:45 we were finally able to go into the reserved room. Mind you, the staff did nothing to help the party pack up or inform them that another party was waiting for that room. As we were setting up, we continuously had to ask for plastic silverware and cups, which should have been already in the room for us to use. The room with all the inflatables was actually a pretty good time, until we got cut short. Around 3 p.m. another party shows up! (Come to find out the owner had told them to be there at 3:15! Not only had our time been cut short, but this other party as well because apparently they like to overlap parties!) The young girl came in the room to tell us that we had to go in the other room because the pizza had arrived. We notice that our time is running up, so we try to hurry up and eat, sing happy birthday, open presents, pack our stuff, etc. Since it was my niece's first birthday, we decide to film it! Wrong! As we were filming the staff continuously got in the way of the camcorder, so we have mostly footage of the staff instead of the actual "present time." We pack up and start leaving and notice the owner/manager came in. So we communicate to her the fact that we were unhappy with our experience! Not only did she argue back with us, but she had asked us..."Do you even know what the word intentional means?!' I've never seen a business owner be so disrespectful to their customers in my life before. Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Inflatable Playspaces over laps parties and the staff is every young an unprofessional! The owner have some of her children running the parties booked with them playing in a Manager's role. This is no organization the day of your event. I had the ask the staff for help several times even though its included in the price. They acted like they didn't want to lift a finger and when they did they moved liked snails. When my guest arrived some of the Bouncy Houses were deflated and kids could not get on several of them. There was no staff member in the Bounce room with the children. My guest were in the Bouncy. There was no order a lot of chaos and they bit off more than they can chew. The Waiver forms are not used at all because the day of the event no one was there to collect them or watched to see who entered the Bounce room. Don't plan on walking in or even arrive 15 minutes to put your decorations together because if there is a party before you, you won't be able to until they decide to clean up the party room. The Bounce time is suppose to be 80 mins of Bounce and you suppose to use the remainder of your party time to decorate, eat, then sing happy birthday and eat your ice cream and cake and be rushed out the door so that you are not over charged. The only thing the staff was good at is making sure that your guest left their facility on time! They didn't care if what they promised was not produced it's all about the staff. The manager is African American and I only met her 1 time, but spoke with her a alot the day of my child's party on the. There was not a Manager the day of my child's party. The Manager was at home and whenever there was a problem, one of her children or another staff member called her at home and the paying customer had to speak with her over the phone. And you wonder why the place was lacking professionalism amongst other things. The communication is very-very-very & I do mean very poor!!! As far as I am concerned the day of your child's birthday party expect the party to be ran & managed by a bunch of teen's or young adults in their early $20's. If you have to pick any place to give your child's birthday party I want to give you this Disclaimer: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! I will never give a party here again and I would not recommend it to any one I know. For what I paid chucky cheese books more parties than most places and had more order, cooperation and professionalism than this place does. This place needs more party rooms to prevent overlapping of parties, a more mature and professional staff and at least an Assistant Manger on site if the real Manager is not present the day of the party. Overall I would not recommend this play to anyone that want to give a birthday party. It's a ok place to take your kids for some Bouncy Time only, but if you giving any kind of birthday party I would highly recommend Extremefun with several locations in Michigan or Bounce U in Troy, MI! Inflatable Playspaces never tried to give me some of my money back or accommodate me in other ways. For what you pay for don't expect to get what's included in your price because you won't! read more
