This grocery store is not what i was expecting. It's more like a Whole Foods than whatever your major chain is (HEB, Albertsons, Publix, etc.) without the ridiculous prices. We grabbed some beautiful t-bones for $12.98/lb. The place is huge. It has everything..including hot and cold bars. It even has an olive bar. The cheese selection wasn't the best. I did have an Ingles brand chocolate bar, and it was legit. The tiny town of Blue Ridge is lucky to have a place like this. No town of similar size has grocery like that in my state. read more

This place is an ABSOLUTE YES for me. I came here several times on a family vacation. There were 10 of us, so we didn't necessarily want to go for every meal. They had the nicest employees and greatest deals! They even have a Starbucks in there to get a coffee while you walk around. Their produce section is unmatched. & Their fruit is freshly picked from the nearby farms. The lunchmeat was delicious and so was their bakery! Don't get me started on their cheese selection. Like it literally wraps around, there are so many to choose from. We tried everything from bacon to ribs. We had their milk to bread. They had all name brand stuff, too. UNIQUE GROCERY STORE. We were just visiting Blue Ridge for the week and stopped by Ingles to snag some groceries. WOAH...it like a Publix, Whole Foods and Walmart all in one. This place was huge and had everything you could imagine. Some of the unique spots included an a trail/but mix bar, sushi buffet, chicken wing bar, and even make your own nut butter. The nut butters ranged from or organic almond butter to roasted honey peanut, all of with you could grind fresh. They bagel bar had a selection of fresh made bagels from the bakery. Bagels included Asiago, Blueberry and Cinnamon raisin. Right by it was the trail mix wall with over 15 variety's of nuts including Chocolate Caramel nut mix, Sweet Tooth and Peanut Butter Parfait. Not only does Ingles have a mix of pre-made foods but also your classic grocery needs like a deli section, meats and fish, frozen food, snacks and more. They had pretty much ever name brand you could ask for (ie: Kellogg's, Lays, etc.) Pro Tip: great deals in their coupons!! read more

Such a great grocery chain. The staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly. The produce is so beautiful and fresh and the store is exceptionally clean. We only visit this area once a year and would never consider shopping anywhere else. I only wish this chain would make it's way to Florida. read more

I am from Chicago so this very well stocked grocer was a nice surprise and only a few minutes from my rental when we came in late and needed sustenance. They had super fresh produce, heavenly cakes (try the chocolate cake from the bakery for a decadent treat) and I know it's weird but they have a giant bag of freshly popped popcorn for like 2.99 I think - I am still munching on it 5 days later. It is the most delicious popcorn I have ever had, right up there with movie popcorn. So yum. I picked up steaks, chops and chicken thighs and all of it tasted real good! Large grocery store, pharmacy, floral and produce store. They pretty much have everything plus items that you didn't know you needed that you will most likely purchase. They have a deli that makes subs, has hot meals and pastries. They sell meat and most importantly for me... they do have beyond meat items. Surprisingly they have a lot of organic items throughout the store. Firewood and propane is also available. The pharmacy had a large line. They have isles and isles of products from feet to face products available. Also gifts, gift cards etc. I'm pretty sure If you need it, they have it. Walked into this very large, really well stocked groceries - and more - store and just felt like I could shop there every day and still not discover everything that it offers. Each department is like a stand-alone store of its own. The produce section featured fresh and packaged items. Many items are not packaged so feel free to select as many, or as few, as you need. The baked goods area seemed equally impressive and everything from the loaves of bread to the cakes and cookies looked too good to pass up. It may take a few trips to master the layout and learn just where every item is (it took some sleuthing to find cumin) but if you are not in a hurry, just enjoy the adventure. Great selection of craft beers, local, regional and beyond, and an entire room of chilled varieties. Wow. The wine selection offered a good array of wines with some specially priced just in time for my visit! Yay! Like the variety, appreciate the inventory and feel like I could always find something for any appetite, whether in I was in need of a quick bite or organizing a lavish feast. Great grocery store! I had never been to Ingles before so I don't know how it compares to others, but I was really impressed by the size and the selection while on a recent trip to Blue Ridge. Not everyone was wearing a mask, but I think that's sort of the case everywhere in the more rural areas of GA. The produce, the meat counter, the bakery, the BEER ROOM... it was all great! I went to the Ingles store in Blue Ridge yesterday. Many customers were allowed into the store without a mask. Several staff members were NOT wearing a mask, just a face shield (which does NOT prevent COVID-19 contamination.) When I went to the self-checkout cashier, the staff member who was assisting the customers had her mask under her chin, not covering her nose or mouth! She approached me that way to enter a code on the self-checkout cashier. The day before, I went to the same store and when I was loading groceries in my trunk, a staff member wearing his mask under the chin (NOT covering his nose or mouth) came close to me to take my cart. This store's implementation of the corporate policy is 100% unnacceptable. read more

Stopped in for groceries while visiting from out of town- we come from down south so Publix is usually our choice for groceries- Ingles was closer and looked to be similar from the outside. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed from the moment we walked in! Huge starbucks setup when you walked in which we took advantage of. Everything was well laid out, organized and loved all the gluten free, vegan and organic options! It was all well Labeled by sections. There was a big deli/hot bar area with a salad, olive, wing bar and much more! We had just eaten and were slightly disappointed as it all looked so good we would have loved to try! We were able to get all of our groceries we were looking for and brought the rest of our family that was also visiting with us later in the week as they are Vegan and were having a difficult time finding options. We felt it was as if Publix and Whole foods had a child- it would be Ingles! We were very curious why it was named Ingles- which means English in Spanish?? Other than that we are fans! read more

It was very busy but people were getting in and out quickly. All staff and customers were in masks, everyone was helping out. Managers were stocking shelves, bagging groceries, and helping where there was a need. Everyone was friendly, and as busy as it was, everything moved quickly. DISGUSTING. Absolutely disgusted with this store. I went in to buy some country sausage on JULY 15th. Cut it open when I arrived at home to make a good dinner and it was ROTTEN. I have no idea why my boyfriend looks at me strangely when I start taking pictures like a tourist. I mean, this is Blue Ridge, right?! I guess it is a little weird for me to be snapping pics inside of a grocery story. This one is special. It has a video dropbox that is still functioning. There's also a totally separate room for cold beer. My absolute favorite thing is in the wine section. There's an entire aisle dedicated to "Premium Boxed" wines. Isn't that a contradiction? Over on the other side of the store there's a Starbucks and a really cool milkshake machine. It's one of those you see at gas stations where you take a cup of frozen stuff, peel off the lid, and then put it on the machine with setting like "eat with a spoon" or "a little more slushy." Actually, those arent' what the machine says. I'm just paraphrasing, but they're not much different. All the aisles in between are stocked with everything. Greeting cards. Soap (hand, clothes, and dish). Canned greens. Canned fruit. Fruit juice. Soda. Cake mix. Frozen vegetables. It's all here and it's all at great prices, especially with your Ingles Advantage Card. read more

Customer service here is basically non-existent with few exceptions. Prices are high, savings are low on most things. Produce lasts only 1 or 2 days after I bring it home, which is a disappointment when grapes, which have no price marked or displayed AT ALL ended up costing me $12. The produce is incredible, the customer service is awful. Still better than Food Lion, but is that really the standard? We used self checkout. They're apparently using computer vision to guess what kind of produce you have. No signs tell you this. I only know it because I work in tech. When it can't identify Squash, it claims you have a wallet on the scanner/scale instead of saying "can't ID item." I set it aside in a bag on the floor to ask someone to help at the end. Instead of coming over asking a question, a younger employee, Alex, came over and said "That squash didn't go through!" I said I set it aside because it wouldn't scan. She said "you use the codes on the paper over here!!!" When I asked her how I was supposed to know that, she grunted at me. At Kroger & Publix, we are used to having a list we can search for non-barcoded produce that is in the computer system. With no signage, it's difficult to know that (a) computer vision is trying to ID produce (b) we should not rely on the checkout screen alone to get produce bought & instead should look at a piece of paper. At the end, I asked if they could put in my phone # for the Ingles card since we left the one we signed up for yesterday at home ($15 off the bill using it). Unlike Kroger & Publix, there's no prompt to enter your phone # - just a prompt to scan your card. She said "it won't be in the system yet!" I asked if I could get a scan of another card this time and she said no. I expressed concern as both Kroger & Publix would make an exception. Frustrated, she got the manager who did the courtesy scan. Really frustrating that simple signage and patience for customers would go a long way to making this "where shopping is a pleasure." Whoops that's Publix - Ingles is just "American Owned." No guarantee that means Southern Hospitality is part of the package. But remember. It's still better than Food Lion, so perhaps I should have lower standards and accept rude behavior. read more

The store is usually nice and responsive to customer but very long lines and only self service is open. Want me to self check out, give me a discount! Took 20 minutes to self check out, the gentleman that is the support person stayed at his position and had to called multiple times to help. So we are sitting at a local restaurant here in Blue Ridge, and the waitress overhears us complaining about Food Lion in town. They ask where we are from, and we tell them the land of Publix. We are then informed that there is a grocery store here that is supposedly as good or better than Publix called Ingles. We get our directions, and head out to the promised land. Upon entering the store, we are greeted with a Starbucks, and knew we were in the right place. This store is huge! They have a huge selection of produce, a large alcohol section, and really had the upscale feel that made you never want to go back to other grocery stores in the area again. We have since returned a few times during our vacation stay for food items, and if living here, this would be the preferred place to frequent. They even have an old school video rental place in there. Do yourself a favor, skip the other grocery stores, and proceed directly to Ingles. read more

This was literally the best grocery store I've ever been into. Their selection of pretty much any sort of product was absolutely amazing. Their beer selection was top notch and I definitely liked building my own 6-pack from single beers. The check-out was speedy and it was nice that they had a system set up where they would unload, bag, and fill your cart for you. As nice as my experience was, the cashier did forget to ask for our Ingles card and we ended up having to go back that night for a refund of the savings total. I'm giving this five stars because in Blue Ridge, this grocery store is as good as it gets. Starbuck's, great produce section, its very own beer cooler, if that's what you're after, a "book store" where they encourage some pre-reading, I guess, because they have chairs in this section where you can sit down and relax! The store is very large, and I only shop for what I need so I didn't even see it all, but it made me feel like I was in a big city, and after two and a half days of delightful and quaint, but small Blue Ridge, the crazy grocery store did wonders for my moral, which was beginning to be affected by what I guess you'd call my "oligpolisphobia" -- my name for "fear of small towns". Blue Ridge is super-sweet, but drive a bit further past the Lion stores and you'll find this large, clean store on your left! read more

I had heard masks were required at Ingles which was good news. Unfortunately upon arrival, many shoppers were not wearing masks. Upon inquiring, an associate advised that corporate Ingles was not allowing customers to be required to be masked prior to entry. This puts those of us wearing masks at greater risk and rewards the covidiots....will be shopping at Walmart until policy is enforced or the virus is over.
