This Walmart is located a couple of miles outside of downtown Blue Ridge and for the most part, is your standard Walmart location. We popped in, as most tourists do, in search of snacks and drinks for our couple night stay. We ended up here twice during our 3 days and each visit was standard. The store, like many Walmart locations, was busy. And like most other locations, they lacked the appropriate amount of open registers to eliminate long lines and congestion in the main aisle. Self check was open, but the staff was lacking there as well. The store was in decent condition and clean for a Walmart. Overall, standard visit to Walmart, especially one in a tourist town. We got what we needed each visit, so nothing too much to complain about. read more

Walmart website has Sunday hours as 6 AM-11 PM, NOT open 24/7, which is very disappointing as my six-year-old is sick and needs some Tylenol. There's not a single grocery store or drugstore open at night in this town, apparently. I really detest self-checkout, by the way. But that's what happens when you raise the minimum wage too high. It's a Walmart- what do you expect!? Store is relatively orderly, floors aren't entirely clean, and the bathrooms? -Don't go there unless you have to. There are loads of people who stop here, so there is going to be some mess/wear-and-tear. They have pretty much everything you need, except ammunition and firearms (They are lacking on both of those fronts.) As far as staff go, it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what (or who,) you are going to get. Some are wonderful, others not so much. And one more thing: There are hardly any cashiers working check-outs, they are almost all customer-operated. read more

These people are bad . They will not refund your money if the cash register double rang the merchandise. The self check out you must avoid because if your forget to take the merchandise with you they will not refund it for you. Will never shop at walmart again. Bad business policy. It gets better! Walmart in Blue Ridge exhibits disdain and reckless disregard for the company policy regarding face masks in the store. But, don't try to buy any alcohol in the place. My wife was carded by a child nearly young enough to be a grandchild. No ID, no alcohol. Their adherence to their alcohol policy that is not required by state law is absolute but their adherence to company policy regarding a life safety matter is willfully flaunted. This is very entertaining. After wandering around the store looking for some running shorts, I began to wonder if this store is the source of all the "Wal-Martian" photos which get passed around the Internet. These are some classic representatives of Wal-Mart shoppers. But hey, I'm in the aisles too and someone might be posting something similar about me. I came in here for some running shorts and found some good ones for $6 as opposed to $50 at the Nike Store. And an end of the season golf shirt for$5. It's like a garage sale with new stuff. This is the Wal-Mart with the "have a blessed day" greeter. I was on the lookout for him in the hope of getting a selfie but it must have been his day off because I didn't receive any blessings. It's an average Walmart. Three stars only because it seems like the parking lot always has some type of garbage in it. How hard is it to clean up after yourself? The store itself has friendly employees although it seems they are always tired. Lol weird but if you ever go in here you will see what I mean. This listing notes masks required but on my recent visit, many shoppers were not wearing masks and many staff were wearing them incorrectly. I was very happy with Walmart protocols through the spring & summer but as numbers surge this fall, Walmart has abandoned the public health of our community. It is disappointing. As far as my knowledge of Blue Ridge goes this is a relatively new store. Its in an easy to reach location with tonnes of parking and stocks pretty much every essential you could need. Its not as large as big city stores but hey that's why we visit Blue Ridge....to get away from city life. We haven't suffered the usual crappy long lines and poor customer service which seems to be relative to most Walmart stores but again I think that is a city thing anyway. read more

My wife and I visited the Walmart Blue Ridge, Ga. store on November 24, 2017. Looking to purchase a television set. We were greeted by an employee/Jessica Howard in the Electronics' with a smile on her face and asked us if she could assist us. We asked if she could guide us in the purchase. Jessica Howard went above and beyond informing us on the brands, quality, and savings. She was very knowledgeable on all the brands and gave us quality time. We were very impressed with her customer skills. My wife and did make a purchase of a television, we felt positive and comfortable in our decision. I use to shop at Walmart in Blue Ridge, GA on a regular basis. I stopped there yesterday (big mistake), they had three cashiers all with several people waiting in line. The self check out is a joke, most of the time you have someone in front of you who can't figure out what to do. I wonder how many items go out of the store without being paid for. Once I got through the cashier (who was very nice) I couldn't get out of the store. There were at least 7 blue carts and several employees trying to coordinate things, all blocking the exit. There was a line of five people in front of me with their paid groceries trying to get out of the store. As I walked through the store, I watched the employees (who pick the groceries for the pick up customers). They don't check dates or quality of items, they just pick them and throw them in the blue cart, which half of the time is blocking the aisle. I realize this store is under going some kind of remodeling, to accommodate the customers who are picking up their groceries at no additional cost, but to me the whole experience sucks. I am now shopping at stores like Ingles and Food Lion where there are real cashiers and where they seem to care about the customers. Walmart Management doesn't have a clue. read more

When it comes to Walmart I think most of us have a love hate relationship. I know I love the prices but I hate the crowds and yuckiness that comes along with some of the stores. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would come across a Walmart that would be worthy of a 5 star rating, but that Walmart exist in Blue Ridge. I've visited several Walmarts in the LA Basin, Orange County and different states. Some have been worse than others but for the most part at any given moment I would rate the best one at 2.5 stars. So when my husband and I discovered that the only major store (not including grocery stores) in Blue Ridge was Walmart, well lets just say we weren't jumping for joy. All right so where to begin? For starters Walmart greeter do exist! And, the Walmart greeter at this location is the sweetest man, very grandpa like and you just want to give him a hug! Oh, but even before entering the store, the parking lot is clean. There are the usual one or two carts rolling around. But for the most part they are nicely tucked away in the designated cart holding area. Not seeing random beer cans in the parking lot or having to get out of your car to move a shopping cart in order to park=1 brownie point! Once inside it is obvious how nicely clean and organized the entire store is. There are no items on the floor between the isles, including the clothing sections, just lying around. Not having to step over/or around or tripping on stuff= 2 brownie points! There restrooms, oh the restrooms! I seriously think they were almost as clean as my bathroom at home and I bleach everything!!! I if don't OD on the smell of bleach it's not clean. Obviously the Walmart restroom didn't smell of bleach, but they were exceptionally clean and there was no trash on the floor. They were well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and soap in each sink too. Not having to check every stall for toilet paper=3 brownie points!! Challenge #1 finding a Walmart employee. Challenge #2 finding one willing to help and 3rd and final challenge find one who CAN actually help. Sounds like an impossible challenge? I though so, but at the Blue Ridge Walmart there is no shortage of employees (with smiles nonetheless) who actually approach you and ask if you need assistance. Even better, when you answer YES, they actually do help! True story!! Not having to run up and down the isles yelling "Hello, I need help please"= 4 brownie points. And finally the Customer Service desk...oh yes that dreaded place with the ginormous singular line with only one employee assigned to take returns; who happens to be on the phone and you have to wait two hours to return an item only to find out that you forgot the receipt! I have never experienced such a quick and painless "return" transaction with and without a receipt. If I recall correctly one of the employees working the desk is Judy. I dealt with her on several and I mean numerous occasions (no fault of anyone I just purchased the wrong item(s) and had to exchange and/or return). Each and every time Judy was such a breath of fresh air, there was no hassle, no lecture about the importance of having a receipt, and all the negativity that come with explaining why you're returning an item. Judy was friendly, pleasant and what I really found most impressive was that each time she thanked me, yes she thanked me for shopping at Walmart and I believe she was very genuine in her kindness. I cannot express the shock I felt when I dealt with her the first time. To have someone wish me a nice day and thank me for my patronage is unheard of!! I adore Judy she provided me with exceptional customer service and not just me I watched her treat everyone (ahead of me) with the same kindness and respect. So for the final brownie points, not having to go to anger management therapy after dealing with customer service=5 brownie points!! This Walmart is seriously a diamond in the rough. read more

NO STARS .... My husband and I were in this walmart the other day. A young girl in the line before us had the women supervising the self scan isle take a candle off because it wasn't ringing up 50% off . By mistake the worker voided the whole ticket. The girl was very calm and politely the girl reassured the woman she wasn't mad then she apologized to my husband and me for taking so long . She proceeded to unpack three hundred dollars worth of stuff, rescan it all, and re-bag it . She paid for her stuff and she left . My husband and myself paid for our stuff and went to leave, as we're walking out the door I noticed the young girl was pulled off to the side surrounded by Walmart employees. She was crying and telling them it was an honest mistake. They were talking to her rude. I heard one of the women workers yelling at the girl telling her she couldn't be recording her lying saying it was private property and then as she walked off she called the girl the N word which clearly this young woman was definitely Caucasian also there was a cop there pacing the floor. I'm walking through the parking lot I tell my husband that I was wondering if she was okay, so we put our stuff in the car and I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to make sure she was okay. She comes walking out the door and as I'm pushing my buggy to the cart holder I walk up to her and ask her if everything is okay . she broke down proceeding to tell me that they give her a citation for shoplifting because when she was in a hurry to rescan her whole entire order she mistakenly forgot to scan a bag . This is just absolutely ridiculous WALMART has no cashiers and could have corrected the young girl's mistake while she was still at the register instead they watch from afar like she's trying to steal and stop her at the door but would not allow her to pay for the items she mistakenly didn't scan. If their employee hadn't voided the ticket I'm sure the young girl wouldn't have been in such a hurry the second time and Overlooked the bag by mistake. Shame on you Walmart and to have employees throwing around the n word to beat it all at a white person is just absolutely absurd I will not be back at that Walmart and I give the girl my name and number she is going to contact me and I'll be joining her at court in February. read more

In addition to being a clean, well stocked store, the blue ridge Walmart continues to carry Healthy Life low carb bread. Kroger is the only other store I've found Healthy Life bread. In addition, this Walmart carries sour dough Healthy Life low carb! Many other walmarts don't carry Healthy Life. If you need to lower carbs but love bread, Healthy Life is the answer. This Walmart location is pretty good.My only issue is that the parking is an issue this Blue Ridge location is packed and why not that many people live in Blue Ridge maybe it's because people visited this place to spend Thanksgiving with their family.The manager was very nice I forgot his name I'm pretty sure his name was Jeffrey.The pharmacy was amazing the deli could've been better but the Bakery is the Number 1 best part of Walmart the Bakery always has delicious goodies like cookies,bread,Guava etc. read more
