This place was for her complete recovery from pneumonia as well as for her physical and occupational therapy. From the time I discovered from research that this place ranks No. 1 amongst skilled nursing facilities in town, to my preliminary phone exchange with their admissions director Jo Ann, to my Mom's 1st day onwards under the most caring and loving staff, I knew that this institution was Mom's Christmas gift for her great faith in God. Mom had the most amazing and loving care from the whole staff at Unit 7. We spent Christmas and New Year's here. They even made my stay as comfortable as possible by giving me a cot as well as a small table and corner to do my work while being in Mom's company. I strongly encourage one and all who have been in any way blessed by this institution to please share your experience here on Yelp! Morningside is hands down a Godsend! It is No. 1 in my list of nursing facilities based on my own online research as well as personal experience. And so, as Mom bids farewell to this amazing 'home', we thank Rosella, and Unit 7's amazing LVNs and CNAs, as well as Mom's PTs and OTs. Kudos to y'all! We love you!!!

Luckily my mother took him home after 5 days. If he had stayed any longer he might have gotten much more sick. In addition, they stalled and stalled for a whole day to allow him to be released so they could squeeze another day out of insurance. She had to fight with them to get his medication as well. STAY AWAY from this place if you possibly can.

Under any circumstances, do not bring your loved one here. My mother was recently transferred here…read moreafter a hospital stay. She was there for rehabilitation due to a fall that caused several fractures. Within three hours her blood sugar had spiked to over 400 (I was monitoring it on my own device). I had to make 3 phone calls before someone addressed it. Also she fell while trying to get up to go to the bathroom because nobody answered the call button to take her there. When they called me to tell me she had fallen their story was she was looking for the remote. She was transported back to the hospital where she spent another 5 days!!! Upon arrival to Westover Hills Rehabilitation her bed was not made. She was not given any instructions as to where the bathroom was or where the call button was, we had to provide her with that information. There were mats on the floor that I was told was for her Neighbor that were all around her bed. Do yourself a favor. Find a better facility. If you care about your person at all. Victor was very quick to answer my calls when we were a prospect. Once my parent was admitted and there was an issue I cannot get a returned call from him. It appears he is always away from his desk or out of the office. I did get a call from a director of nursing (3 days later) who was not able to answer or address any of my concerns because she said she was just on her cell phone and did not have access to her computer. Why would a director of nursing make a phone call regarding patient concerns without having access to the patient's file? Please keep in mind that they did not initiate this call, I made several phone calls to them. I'm still waiting for them to call to see how my mother is doing. I won't hold my breath.

We couldn't have done it without help from Sisters Care!…read more Our mother broke her ankle and needed inpatient rehab after the surgery to repair it. She is also in stage 5 Alzheimer's dementia and had a very bad reaction to the anesthesia used during the surgery; a very common side effect for those with dementia. Family members and friends were by her side all day and evening, but we didn't have anyone who could be there at night. Mom was having extremely vivid nightmares and would be very upset when she woke up in the middle of the night disoriented and feeling an urgent need to get out of bed and run away! Sisters Care from The Village at Incarnate Word provided the overnight coverage for us. The "angels" who helped Mom were able to reorient and help her to calm down so she could go back to sleep. They also kept her from walking on her broken ankle before it was sufficiently healed. I wish I could mention each of our caregivers directly.... I waited far too long to submit this review and have forgotten the names, but not the kindness, peace of mind, respite and quality care they gave our family and friends so we could be there to support Mom! #homecare #inhomecare #qualitycare #seniorcare #SistersCareCaregiving #TheVillageAtIncarnateWord
