Since it was my first time, I showed up 10 mins before my scheduled appointment as I did not know what to expect. The moment I opened the door, I got attacked by her dog. Dog ran after me even outside and it freaked me out. I'm terrified of dogs and here she had hers right there, without even a leash, ready to attack anyone that even dares to walk in the door. Her excuse was she lost track of time and did not want to leave her dog at home for 12 hours. That's very unprofessional of her but fine, I was thinking maybe she's going to make up for this incident in the session. But no. Each session is supposed to be 40 mins long. She cut mine short to 25-30 mins. When I asked her why it wasn't a full session, she said there wasn't enough time since she had another appointment scheduled and I had to fill out paperwork. There was no paperwork to fill out. It was one single form that requires your basic info, which took 2 mins at the most. Remind you, I showed up early and had I not been attacked by her dog, she would have had more time. Did I mention she has no team? She runs the Woodbridge Office by herself. Not my problem! Keeping all of this aside, I asked her what she would recommend for future sessions. She said she offers a package of 5 or 6 sessions for $1,500. That's $250 a session. How is that a package deal when I just paid $129 for one session, which showed zero results? She said it was cheaper than getting a surgery. Wow! I don't need a surgery because I'm not a huge person. I'm pretty small. I weight 120 pounds but I have few problematic areas. I wasn't looking for a miracle or had any unrealistic expectations but if you can't help me loose a single inch from any of the targeted area of my body or help the appearance of the skin in any way then what the hell am I paying even a dime for? 0.04 here and 0.02 and 0.03 there is her way of manipulating you to believe you have lost a total inch when everything looks and feels the same. She can tighten that measuring tape all she wants but no one is that stupid. Anyways, I asked her if a wrap would help instead and she said no, not really. It's more of a detox. Well, if none of her services help loose inches, or help the appearance of your body or tighten any area then why are you false advertising it? Then she said it wouldn't work, not for my body. Wait, what is that supposed to mean? If wrap doesn't work on small average bodies then is it only meant for huge/fat ones? Wouldn't they need surgery? According to her, if I wasn't happy with my first session, she doesn't feel comfortable doing anything else. At that point she came across really rude and racist towards me. She didn't even want to explain anything after that pretending she doesn't know anything. Oh well, I'm glad I did not sign up for that "package deal". I do not recommend her to anyone. Hell, I'll pay double the price to someone else as long as they don't treat me like she did. It was a total waste of time and money. What a rip off! Anita, save your replies for someone else! I've seen and heard enough from you already.

I am a little late with my review but can honestly say I am in love with my eyeliner and new brows! I am not big on makeup in general but many of my friends have had previous permanent makeup done and I've always considered getting it and finally took the plunge. I first got the top and bottom eyeliner done and at first was a little scared but was put at ease immediately Cristine. I absolutely love it now. I don't need to put any mascara or anything on as the eyeliner emphasizes my lashes. A few months later I got my brows done. I had no idea what a difference brows make. I am now obsessed and feel that my new brows took years off of my face! As a newbie I had tons of questions before and even after the procedure. I went to the DC area to visit with family and my sister suggested Ink Beauty Bar for a spray tan because we were heading to Virginia Beach the next day. I don't usually get things like this done very often but I was feeling pretty pasty and didn't want to look pale on the beach. I saw Christine and she was wonderful. She made me feel completely comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. The last time I had a spray tan my husband said I looked orange, but not this time! Loved my lash tint and lift with Blake! She did a really thorough, great job and when one side looked just slightly more lifted then the other she took the time to adjust my lashes so they were even. Also - I had intended to get extensions during this visit for my wedding, but as soon as I mentioned the date Blake was quick to point out that they wouldn't last till then without a refill (which is spelled out on the website I just misread it), and she (and I believe the owner) were totally flexible with switching me to a life/tint and refunding me the difference. I had an amazing experience with Cristine at Ink Bar. I made an appointment for the the Powder/Ombre Brows and Cristine was so professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Ink Beauty Bar is the top beauty salon in the DMV area. The owner, Cristine is fantastic. Not only is she very sweet and professional, she does a fantastic job. She answered all my questions from what kind of machines to what kind of ink as well as her philosophy. Her online portfolio spoke volumes. Christine shop is clean, bright and very sanitary. Although that person did a good job, I started following Tuull on social media around that same time and knew she would be the next artist I went to once I was due for a touch up. The person that first did my brows did a good job keeping things conservative (which I appreciated.) But at the one year mark, the work had shrunken and faded enough that it only looked a tad different from my natural brows so I went to Borte for that little extra razzle dazzle. It was super easy booking online and during our consultative visit, Tuull walked me through some options, asked me lots of questions and even sketched different stylistic approaches on my brows to then go home and think about. I then returned for my follow-up appointment and since then, two more touch up appointments over the past couple of years. She is a total pro and really knows what she is doing. My brows now frame my features in a much more defined way and it's freeing to not have to do my brows daily and still enjoy their framing once I wash my face or go swimming. Like with any powder brows, you've got to get your annual touch-up to keep them looking fresh (because fading is inevitable.) However, it's also nice to know that if you ever decide you no longer like that aesthetic, Borte also offers removal services as well. Thanks so my for the beautiful brows, Tuull!
