I've been wanting…read moreto get a tragus piercing but after hearing some horror stories, I knew I had to do research before getting it done and Nine Moons Piercing kept coming up on my searches. After selecting the jewelry, I'm in the room with Elaine and everything was explained to me thoroughly. There was such a joyful warmth in how Elaine spoke that it completely relaxed me. A couple of deep breaths and I was expecting a pain level between 5-6 but believe it or not, it was like maybe a 1-2 and I think part of that is Elaine's experience with placement as well as her technique. I am so happy with the result and that I went through this with Elaine and Nine Moons Piercing.

The staff was helpful, though a bit aloof and standoffish at times. That said, I did run into some issues that made this a more difficult experience than it needed to be. The jewelry used was externally threaded, and they did not have 19mm bars available. I was pierced with 16mm bars, which ended up being just slightly too short for my anatomy. I was pierced in August 2025, and now in December I have had a very difficult healing process largely due to the bar length. I constantly dealt with the balls pressing in and threatening to embed because there simply wasn't enough room for swelling. Before getting pierced, I did ask if longer bars could be used or ordered. I was told they only place jewelry orders every few months and that ordering a specific size for me and having me come back was not how they do things. I was willing to pay for the proper jewelry and return, but that wasn't an option. In hindsight, I should have walked out, but I really wanted the piercings and went forward anyway. I also did not see an A.P.P. membership sticker displayed, which in retrospect should have been another sign for me to choose a different shop. I recently changed my jewelry myself to 19mm internally threaded bars, and the difference has been huge. My nipples are healing properly now and are noticeably happier. I can't speak to their tattooing, but based on my experience, their piercing policies could use improvement. I personally wouldn't return for piercings unless they begin offering internally threaded jewelry and can demonstrate A.P.P. standards.

Ink couture is my favorite tattoo shop, it was very clean and each artist is amazing and very talented. My experience at the shop for the first time was almost 3 years ago when I got my first tattoo by Seven and I couldn't be more happier with it. I also got to know the staff better while I was being tatted. Mike, who is the manager of the shop is a very polite guy and is always there to help a customer and guide them to their first or second tattoo. He is also a very talented at piercing as I my self watched him pierce multiple people. Mike also guided me to one of the artist at the shop for my next tattoo that's still in progress, my leg sleeve. He guided me to artist LT who is a phenomenal artist. His work is amazing and once again I couldn't be more happier with the work. Ink couture provided me with nothing but the best and that's not only for me, they help and provide nothing but the best for each one of their customers. So, if you want a very high end, great artist, great employees to guide you for a tattoo or piercing, I highly suggest to go to ink couture. I went to ink couture three months ago and I must say this shop is incredible. The artists are amazing and the shop itself is beautiful. My only complaint was my artist Frankie Oneshot, he mocked me a bit as i explained to him what I was looking for and once he finished drawing and started the piece he complained several times about how my tattoo was a bitch for the line work... He is a great guy and does great work but I did not appreciate the comments he made during our session and the amount of breaks he took. Granted he hasn't been tattooing for long he does great work and the rest of the shop itself was very pleasant to work with. The owner Frank came over several times to ask if I needed anything and talked me up a bit as did the rest of the artist in shop. I've recommended this place to several friends and none of them have come back with any complaints, this place isn't cheap, so if you're looking for quality work be expected to pay for it, my only advice is to set up a consultation with another artist, like I will on my next trip in. read more

I recently went in for a tattoo with my mom, both first timers. I made an appointment over the phone which was extremely easy and they even texted me to confirm multiple times. Upon arrival we were greeted by the woman at the front desk and offered water bottles and introduced to our artist, Andrew Russo. Andrew was as nice as could be and before making us sit for the tattoos he wanted to make sure that he got every little detail 100% right. He made us feel comfortable as I mentioned it was our first time getting tattoos. We even shared a laugh with another artist. In between tattoos he replaced every inch of plastic in his station to ensure everything was as clean as possible. This place was immaculate! He told us whenever we we wanted we could take a quick break and resume when I felt ready. The tattoos came out absolutely amazing and I could not have asked for a better experience. I would recommend ink couture and Andrew Russo to anyone looking for a great tattoo experience! read more

This place is great! I had a scroll done on my arm that came out amazing. The place is so clean, the floor (white tile ) was mopped six times in a two hour period (Not an exaggeration). The owner is a great guy along with his son and the hole staff. My sister recommend it, she got a small infinity done on her arm that came out great. She wanted it placed on the small of her wrist and the artist refused because it would not look good when completed. He was willing to lose the client, then to do a shitty job. You will not feel intimidated when you go, this not that kind of place! I can't believe Staten Island has a shop like this, maybe the city or LA. Ink couture will be world famous they bring in artist from all over the country for weeks at a time that specialize in certain talents i.e. Portraits. If you are considering getting a tattoo if it's your first or your hundredth this is the place. read more

Ink Couture is an absolutely amazing tattoo shop. I have gotten multiple tattoos from here. Not only is the shop filled with extremely talented artist, but also a very trained staff ready to satisfy your every need. They are extremely friendly and very helpful in helping you design your tattoo. The artists are top of the line and regardless of what tattoo style you're looking for, the artists with leave you with a masterpiece for life. I personally know the owner Mr. Russo, along with his family, and they are by far the most dedicated and honest people you will come across. This past Monday, Anna the Permanent Make-up Artist (PMU & Paramedical Tattoo Artist), did my Eyebrows, Lip-liner & full lip Tattoo. She was pure perfection. They came out better than I can ever have imagined. Anna is well trained and very well informed. She has an educated answer for everything that involves Permanent Make-up & Tattoo artistry. My biggest concern was discomfort & pain & bleeding. I did not feel anything, nor did I bleed, especially when getting my lips colored in. It even looks great two days later. I can not wait until it fully heals. Next Monday, she is going to tattoo (permanent make-up) my Eyeliner. I can not wait. A couple days ago I came in to get My very first tattoo, My first tattoo was on my right Bicep and it was in remembrance of my Grandfather who passed a couple years ago. I cant even begin to explain how Phenomenal of a job Peter Triolo did, He absolutely killed this! He made me feel extremely comfortable and really took what I wanted and made a Beautiful design, Never once did I doubt him, He really deserves recognition Peter his work is so good, So down to earth and he really makes you feel like you're at home in the Tattoo studio and will go all out for you. I had a piece done on my forearm by Artist Toni, and it came out amazing , I'm so happy with it. She was also really sweet and easy to talk to. Looking to get way more pieces done. Some people might have mixed opinions because of the prices compared to other spots on the island but I believe it is worth it because the detail Work is absolutely amazing, so you pay way you get. You can go to other spots that cost less but will have way less detail and overall not as nice and you will see the clear difference. Its a tattoo that will be on forever, I would get the best version possible of it, and you will definitely get here. read more

Peter Triolo is out of this world talented! When I tell you I've been looking for a new artist to do my next few pieces it felt like forever but I'm so glad I waited it out to find someone of his talent level. I went to Ink Couture to get some piercings with my sister. I met with Mike Russo. He was very nice, he explained everything and every single instrument was sterile. On the third day my sister pulled her piercing with her hair and irritated her ear. I called the store the next day and spoke with Mike, went into the store later that day and he kept in contact after to make sure my sisters ear healed properly. Which it did. I visited many shops in the NJ/NY area looking for the right one to get my first tattoo done. I can say not only do they have the nicest shop but the Russo family really makes every single person feel important. I am able to call or show up and go over designs and get ideas and they always go above and beyond. Every artist there has their own strengths and they even fly in guest artists which gives them a leg up on the competition. This is not only the cleanest and most professional tattoo studio on the island, but it also takes the top spot over every place I've been to out of state. I've been following them for quite sometime on Facebook and pass their shop everyday and I have been wanting a nose piercing for a while now. I finally decided it was time and went in today for my piercing. The place is extremely clean, welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly. They know their stuff. Came to this shop through a friend's recommendation as I wanted to start a full sleeve. I met with Frank, the owner, who was so attentive and made my nervous self feel at ease...he assigned who he thought was the appropriate artist for the piece I wanted...(Jayvo Scott who happened to be on Inkmaster) within minutes I knew it was the perfect fit... Been here twice, once for a tattoo once for a piercing. They were very kind and explained to me the procedure and what was going to happen. I did start bleeding for one and got a bit nervous (lol) but the guy who was doing it was SO patient and very calm. The place is also very clean, which made me feel a bit better when I was first arriving. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone. It always smells and looks so clean in there and everyone is so nice every single time I've went it. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! They are so professional, they sat down with me, had a consultation and explained everything to me before they began the tattoo. This was my first one so I was a little nervous. Its clean, professional, friendly, and not to mention the artists are amazing! First, the business made me feel extremely…read moresafe during Covid times, they practiced lots of precautions such as limiting the amount of people inside. Second, Sami was so informative and answered every question I had. A year ago, I got my upper lobes pierced at a different tattoo studio and it formed (from what I learned by Sami) a granule. I had to remove that piercing and it closed. Sami reassured me there could've been a multitude of factors that contributed to it, namely the POOR aftercare instructions I was given by that piercer. She even examined the other upper lobe piercing that managed to heal after the granule and informed me there was scar tissue but still a flat surface. SAMI KNOWS HER STUFF!!! Also, What I loved about her was not only did She take her time with matching the piercings BUT she asked for a second opinion!!! The second person also took their time to examine the location. Not just looked at it and gave a green light. I, not being an experienced piercer, would've taken Sami's first word for the location. So the fact she asked for a second opinion, and was humble enough to modify it as per the other opinion, really made my heart rest easy. Again, the lobes aren't too difficult a place to pierce but Sami handled me with care. The piercing itself was quick. We talked about trickiest place for a piercer and the longest after care piercing. Really informative and never felt rushed!! Don't know if there's a difference but this was the first time I got pierced with a labret backing instead of a butterfly! Anyway loved Sami, would come back again for another piercing !

I emailed…read moreHermit Tattoo and called them to inquire about the jewelry options and they were very responsive. I decided to do a walk-in to get my nose pierced. Bri was the piercer on site and I was very specific I wanted it to be exactly where my old scar was, she acknowledged. Her technique was to pierce my nose from inside-out vs outside-in. She missed my scar. I have a shiny nose stud right on top of my scar making it even more prominent to the eyes. I am very disappointed and my choices are either to stare at my scar or to remove the stud and get an extra scar. I reached out to them via email to let them know my experience, I did not ask for a refund and did not expect them to give me one. I expected them to at least acknowledge their fault and show some sort of corrective action such as "i'll speak to Bri", "im sorry for your experience" but silence for 3 weeks now. That is really unprofessional, there is no accountability. I am traumatized.

I drive from the North Shore and skip everyone to come here. I can attest to great service here or at Glamour (Richmond Ave). These ladies and gentlemen also love their tips and have no problem assuming your tip so be advised to be clear about how much and the form of tender you will pay. If you give cash they may keep the change unless you're clear.

Told them I had an appointment and then I went to go pick the color. I was seated in the last and only available pedicure seat left. This place is pretty busy on a Sunday morning at opening time. The host lined the tub with plastic and turned the water on in the tub. A girl named Ivy continued my pedicure after a few minutes soaking. Asked for the water to be a little hotter and she did not complain. She asked if I wanted my nails cut, and then she clipped, filed, and buffed. Put oil on the cuticles and soaked again, then picked off all the dead skin. Overall clean work and seems to have painted in the edges too, which I really like.

It was incredible and the job she did was amazing too! The place is beautiful and she's very sweet as well! She even has candies in a little bowl but I'm in love with them and definitely recommend! I have very stubborn lashes that when I curl them and put mascara they fall as they're very straight naturally but she has done it beautifully and I'm so happy!
