Overall, the shop itself was immaculate and very clean. The piercings were well placed, the price was reasonable, and the piercer had good bedside manner, which I appreciated. The staff was helpful, though a bit aloof and standoffish at times. That said, I did run into some issues that made this a more difficult experience than it needed to be. The jewelry used was externally threaded, and they did not have 19mm bars available. I was pierced with 16mm bars, which ended up being just slightly too short for my anatomy. I was pierced in August 2025, and now in December I have had a very difficult healing process largely due to the bar length. I constantly dealt with the balls pressing in and threatening to embed because there simply wasn't enough room for swelling. Before getting pierced, I did ask if longer bars could be used or ordered. I was told they only place jewelry orders every few months and that ordering a specific size for me and having me come back was not how they do things. I was willing to pay for the proper jewelry and return, but that wasn't an option. In hindsight, I should have walked out, but I really wanted the piercings and went forward anyway. I also did not see an A.P.P. membership sticker displayed, which in retrospect should have been another sign for me to choose a different shop. I recently changed my jewelry myself to 19mm internally threaded bars, and the difference has been huge. My nipples are healing properly now and are noticeably happier. I can't speak to their tattooing, but based on my experience, their piercing policies could use improvement. I personally wouldn't return for piercings unless they begin offering internally threaded jewelry and can demonstrate A.P.P. standards. read more

this only has to do with the piercer, because i don't know anything about the tattoos there. about the tattoos, i think the place seems clean enough, for basic hygiene. gloves, disinfectant, etc. but about the piercings... around october of 2024, i went to get my belly button pierced by their piercer. i had barely turned 18, so i knew nothing of anatomy or quality. i won't speak too much on that, but i know that the piercing rejected QUICKLY. the piercer, who's name i cannot remember, failed to look at my anatomy. she pierced my naval with no questions asked. her failure to look at my anatomy, and recommend a different piercing placement (such as a floating naval) shows her lack of care and patience. very recently, i got my daith pierced by this same woman. i wanted to try again. piercings are a very spur of the moment thing, so the walk in aspect seems enticing. the daith was pierced terrible. first, she agreed to do both sides in the same day, which is not something that a reputable piercer would really recommend (how will it heal if you need to sleep?) some piercers DO do this, so i was like whatever. she pierced it, and used an insanely small piece of jewelry. when i went to a much better piercer, he was appalled by both the placement, and the tiny jewelry which is awful for healing. quick edit: the piercing was extremely painful too. she failed to get the jewelry in the hole, and dropped it, then got a new (seemingly unclean) piece of jewelry. she process was so bad she essentially gave me half off. another story, a little less insignificant, but my friend did get per ears pierced there, and she chose to use a butterfly back on the ears (awful for healing, and it's piercing 101) in the photos attached, you can see the disasters. another note, i have over twenty piercings on my body, and i have truly had more luck with claire's piercings than this woman. this is not a case of "you don't know how to take care of piercings" because i have piercings all over my ears, on other body parts, and my lips. for professional piercings on staten island, id highly recommend someone who will take good care, and the only person i can truly recommend is paul at bound for glory. read more

Do not get pierced here!! I got a belly button piercing 2 years ago here and it got so badly infected that I had to remove it. After getting re pierced today at another shop I realized I was pierced with a SEPTUM nose ring the first time. I'm not an expert but look at the following images and tell me I'm crazy. read more

I came in for a nose piercing about 2 years ago and was scarred for life. I should've known it was a bad sign when the person working the front desk took me in the back and proceeded to give me the piercing. At first, the piercing did not stop bleeding and later developed exteme sensitivty along with an infection. I had to go to the doctor to get the piercing removed and for treatment. The doctor also mentioned the angle in which she pierced it was not correct. read more

The receptionist (black hair young lady) was the one that pierced my septum it. I believe it was $60-70. The piercing "room" was in the back the door is a curtain. When she was getting the balls to screw into my piercing a man walked out of the bathroom which I didnt know was there. Not a private place for piercings. My friend got his eyebrow pierced. It was $5-10 cheaper than mine. She recommended he get the piercing on an angle which was a good choice. Overall a good experience. read more

I went to get one of my nipples repierced because it had fallen out a while ago. I had my other one in and i told the girl to please do them as similar as she could, i know that identically the same would be impossible. I told her this more than once before she started doing anything else, because I was really worried about it. She marks the area and i told her I don't want it there. She says "its just as a ruler so the piercing will be straight but I will not put the jewelry there". Weird but okay if that was her style I didnt want to push it. She proceeds to fucking pierce exactly where she marked which is my AREOLA. Pretty different from my nipple, two fucking different anatomical parts of my fucking body. She also used a 1 inch jewelry which to my knowledge is used to allow swelling in tongue piercings and stuff like that. The nipple doesnt swell as much. I went through all the pain for a disgusting terrible fucking piercing. -5/5 read more

I just got my first tattoo. Not a big deal for most but I'm 60 years old. My wife and two daughters have gotten tattoos here and said i must too. I got my septum pierced by Jenna over 2 weeks ago at Ron and Dave's. My sister and I dropped by the shop last minute and Jenna was able to do it in under 5 minutes, including prep time. She helped me change my nose ring and then quickly and mostly painlessly pierced my septum. I can't recommend them enough. The price was $76 and included a seamless septum ring. Walked in to Ron and Dave's the Saturday of memorial weekend didn't seem too busy however they had a waiting list. The receptionist gave us the option to leave a deposit to hold a time slot or sit in the shop and wait for two hours to be next. We opted for the deposit, We still ended up waiting an hour or so after our scheduled times but I get it can't really predict when tattoos will be done. they were pretty busy which is obviously a good testament to their work. Anyways, Eddie did my tattoo, the healing process has only begun but I really love what he did, I'm pretty sure I talked his ear off and he wasn't a d*ck about it so that's a win in my book. Back to the point, the shop was clean, staff was nice, work was exceptional. Only downside is they're a cash only shop, there is an atm around the corner but the machine ran out of money when we were there. I can definitely see myself coming back. read more
