Gail did my wedding calligraphy and was a dream to work with. She found mistakes on our address list that were brought to our attention to ensure that all the invitations would be delivered without issue. She is a true artist, and the envelopes themselves were breathtaking. It is such a difference to have professional attention paid to your invitations and the touch of a calligrapher vs relying on a printer to print from a spreadsheet without attention to layout or what makes sense. Gail is a lovely lady, very talented, and very reliable. 10/10 - she was recommended to me by Diane Bender of Sincerely Yours Diane where I got my invitations. read more

With computer printing, hand calligraphy may be becoming a lost art. I may be old fashioned but I wanted calligraphy on the place cards for our son's Bar Mitzvah. My husband found Gail Jacobson of Ink 'N Pen on Angie's list and she was an absolute pleasure to work with! Gail works by appointment only but was very flexible as to when she could meet me. If you are interested in her services make sure to make an appointment as she works out of her home. I arrived with the place cards I had bought, and Gail proceeded to show me at least a dozen different styles of calligraphy I could choose from! I was amazed! I did not know there were so many types of calligraphy in existence! We decided on the font (informal script) and a white pen since the place cards were dark green. The turn around time was less than twenty four hours! When I picked up my place cards Gail had them ready in a small box with tissue paper between each card. What a professional! She was very patient while I checked each one. They were beautiful and absolutely perfect! I thought the price was very reasonable at $2.50 per card. Gail has been doing this for over thirty years, has trained with master calligraphers, and can do even more fonts than the ones that she showed me! She is an artist with exceptional attention to detail. Established in 1983.

With almost eight years experience in the print business and the passion for learning calligraphy, I started lettering in 1983. Studied with masters through the South Florida Calligraphy Guild. My husband is a sign painter so we often collaborate on projects. Together, we can letter on paper, banners, vehicles, store signs and more.

I am highly passionate about calligraphy. When I'm working on a job, which is like play time for me, I'm in my own quiet space creating a little bit of art with each stroke of the nib. As a wannabe English major, I want every envelope, poem, etc. to be grammatically and socially correct. I review all lists and verbiage to ensure that the final job is what you are envisioning. If you're like me, you're tired of dealing with business people who don't do the kind of job quality you expected. What about not meeting the promised date of completion? At Ink 'n Pen you will not be disappointed. After 33 years in business, I am proud to say that I have a loyal following of repeat customers and get many referrals from invitation and party businesses in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties, as well as around the USA.
