Ok yall - The important stuff: Parking: free Price: Great, reasonable Service: Prompt, attentive, professional without being stiff or stuck up or southern sassy Ambiance: Parlor perfect, hip, contemporary Most Liked: People, price, convenience Least Liked: My planning - I loved it ALL. Only regret is Wishing I had more time to get more stuff that day. Okay now for some outside tea with Tri: I found them on Google and then IG. I chose them for nice neighborhood and also a special so I could see if they would be good for return business before investing in a large commitment. THEY ARE WORTH IT!! I brought my magnificent friend here for a birthday surprise and they were so helpful in making it enjoyable. Maui I was our artist and she is a whole lotta fun wrapped in artwork. Let me tell you my girl is beautiful, talented and funny. She doesn't play about her work though she stood on business and hit the spot with great strokes and light pokes. She was focused, not heavy handed and hella quick. She's also talented in various types of art. I will definitely be back to see her. I went to them for the last friday the 13th and the process was a little confusing and very long (as is expected) but ultimately I got a lovely tattoo at a discounted rate and only had to sit on the floor for a couple of hours. Yesterday I went back to them for another friday the 13th... the positives: - check in was smooth - they upgraded their waiting process so you could leave the shop - flash sheets were nicely organized when you arrived to the shop the negatives: -Flash was not posted at the start of ticket sales -Entirety of flash was not available on their instagram or eventbrite (where they sell tickets for the event) -flash pricing tiers were not communicated clearly online -texting service was NOT utilized to provide any helpful communication all in all this will be my LAST friday the 13th with atlanta ink. We arrived in shop at 8:15 to check in for our 8pm-12am ticket slot. We returned to the shop at 11:45 after hearing nothing to be informed they'd be closing the shop at 12am and that we could come back anytime during the month to receive our tattoos. I respect them allowing their artists to rest, but incredibly frustrating that this was not communicated any sooner. I spoke to someone who checked in at 7:45 and was also not tattooed for the same slot. texted communication about the store closing at midnight was sent out at 12:23. No apology was made either. Beyond upset that a system promised to notify us of our slot 30-45 minutes in advance couldn't be any quicker with reaching out about being oversold on a capped ticketed event. they kept my money so i'll be going to get my tattoo sometime this month but after that, i'll be seeking better businesses to support.

Took my nephew to get his ear pierced & so glad we chose this place. From calling to inquire about an appointment vs walking in, I was treated professionally and all my questions were satisfactorily answered. The shop is clean and all of the staff are professional & very knowledgeable. The receptionist (sorry I didn't get her name) was super sweet & friendly. Ken pierced my nephew's ear. He was very quick but made also sure to give tips on after-care. Should my nephew decide to do anything else, I would definitely go back and would recommend this shop to anyone else. I believe his tattoos start at $35 depending on the size but his prices for His larger tattoos are pretty reasonable and he does a great job. I have one on my ankle and one on the back of my neck. I think paid $40 for each, done at different times, but I always get complemented on those two. Rikky is a natural artist and the tattoos he does reflects that. As far as the piercings, I've only gotten my belly pierced here. The price was $40. Everything that was used was sterile and new. My belly ring came packaged in its own sealed bag. The only thing I wasn't too happy about is the ring looks a little crooked. The girl who pierced my belly had me lay down but I'm not sure how she ended up piercing my stomach at an angle but when I looked at my stomach in the mirror I realized that my ring slants to the side. When I adjusted it I realized that it is the hole, not the ring. It's not that bad that I wanted to go back to have it fixed but just a heads up if you get your belly pierced here. Let Rikky do the piercing or make sure you are standing up, not laying down when the piercing is done. Overall I still give this shop 4 stars.

The equipment itself was in sterile packaging, but the jewelry was NOT STERILE and just came in regular plastic baggies. She also used the same gloves that had my blood and fluids on it to touch her piercing equipment drawers(which is a big no-no for transferring infection to others. Luckily, i have my Hepatitis vaccines). I also have no clue why she pierced a nostril with a 16g when 18g is standard. In addition, aftercare instructions were not given(though that could be because she assumed i knew how to take care of piercings) so anyone new to body mods, beware. Overall, Im concerned about how clean my actual piercing is and if the post given to me is long enough to accommodate swelling...This place needs to step it up and offer more appropriate piercing sizes along with sterilizing jewelry/using sterile techniques when piercing people back to back. I don't recommend coming here for piercings. Go to a shop that specializes in piercings and sterilizes everything beforehand. Update: I cleaned it and realized that she even pierced it at an angle where the stud goes straight down and through more cartilage than if she pierced at an angle like my other nostril. Now I know for a fact it will heal unevenly, despite using the same entry point that I had when it was first pierced! Smdh. Thank god I only wasted 23 bucks. Definitely going to a more reputable shop to see if i can take this mess out or get it corrected. Very disappointed, very lazy work, and im irritated that I had to get pierced TWICE because they didn't even have posts long enough to accommodate swelling(which the post would have been fine if she pierced it at a better angle in the first place).

I'm luck enough to have multiple large pieces that Yogi created, and I'm not stopping there. It's been around six or seven years ago that I was fortunate enough to walk through the doors at Messenger Tattoo and meet Yogi in person. What can I say, talented beyond words, chill, cool and one of the most detailed and gentle artists I've ever had worked with. I have another large piece, full sleeve into a chest , that I did over the period of five years at another tattoo artist in LA that was supposed to be "da bomb".......long story short, Yogi blew this cat away. I will never get another piece done without Yogi sitting right next to me telling great stories and jamming to Metallica or watching a classic flick. His shop is an extension of his vibe and personality. Once you see it you'll know what I mean. Writing this review makes me want to set up my next session with the master.......
