I got my nose pierced here yesterday by Ashlyn. I knew something was wrong but I ignored my intuition. I went to bed knowing something was wrong but thought in the morning my nose wouldn't be as sore and I can look at it better and see that I was being crazy. I was wrong when I woke up the jewelry was sinking into my nose. When I looked closer I could tell that my nose wasn't pierced correctly. She didn't pierce it straight through. It looked like she turned the needle too early. I went back to the shop to have it removed and asked for a refund. She immediately tried to gaslight me and tried to say she didn't see a problem with it. It hurt to laugh or do anything that involved your nose moving. I'm not stupid I've had multiple piercings to include my nose. I know what it's supposed to look and feel like. Then she refuses to give me a refund. I had the most mentally and physically traumatic piercing experience of my life here. One star is way too generous. I highly recommended staying away and wish I had instead of going here on a whim. I emailed them the day it happened but no response. Long story short, the girl had no idea what she was doing. The forward helix is pierced at the wrong angle. The daith was done with jewelry that was extremely too small and unable to have the ball put on. She then proceeded to try to switch the jewelry but at this point there was nothing to guide the new jewelry into a fresh hole. So she spent like 20 minutes digging inside my flesh with forceps trying to grab the jewelry to pull it thru. My ear started gushing blood and filled my ear canal to which she had the nerve to tell me I'm "such a bleeder" because ya trauma will do that to you. Then she spent a ton of time trying to jam the jewelry thru to which eventually she got so frustrated that she just forced it thru essentially piercing my ear with jewelry like we used to in middle school. I have a very high pain tolerance and have been getting piercings for over 20 years so this review may seem dramatic but it's really that disturbing. Thank God because if it was my first time, I would have needed therapy and medical attention after. I have never taken any meds after a tattoo or piercing but I took some aleve after this for the inevitable pain/swelling that were imminent. It's been 2 weeks and my ear is still swollen, red, hot and bleeding. I will be reporting this and leaving this review everywhere I can. I would definitely come here again! Their customer service was superb and the price wasn't half bad especially in comparisons to Tampa prices; they are located in Lakeland Mall. Our tattoo artist was Arik. He was so cool. Im terrified of needles but he was as gentle as he could be. Note: The shop minimum is $50. Also, I didn't no nor was I told, so Im giving my yelpers a tip... Check-in before asking the price as I did it the other way around and missed out on a 15 percent coupon. That's ok, Ill use it for later. The only reason I gave it a 4. Arik also guarantees his work, which is a plus. I got a small tattoo on my thumb, which the ink may reject but he will redo for free. So. A couple of weeks ago, I came in and got tattooed by one of their tattoo guys, customer service and such was outstanding. The guy who did the tattoo was the one closest to the first wall in the back as you walk in there are chairs to the right, he was the last area, he has a mirror I do remember that, I just cant remember his name. Now, my tattoos, all have very special meaning to me, I don't just get ink because it looks cool, I'm a DV survivor, the specific tattoo I had done was a touch up and addon to complete the tattoo. I left this review on their Facebook page, they took it down, and FAILED to try and contact me about what they could do about any of it. The guy completely scarred me in one area of the tattoo, he kept going back over and over, I have 17 tattoos total and this has never happened with any shop prior to this. I would not be as upset as I am if he didn't charge me $250 for a small tattoo that should've only taken about an hour to do! First thing I want to say is I BEG YOU NOT TO GOTO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I went on 11/19/2013. The picture on Yelp is of my Tattoo after it "healed" Within 12 hrs my tattoo was swollen and red and infected. This was due to Cory, "my Artist", digging way to deep into my skin. I had chunks of skin coming off of me and they told me that this was normal and that everything was okay. They don't know what they are doing when they are tattooing and it is very dangerous to you and your life. Bad Tattooing can equal Collitus or MRSA and even Death. This shop is one of those to be afraid of. If they are digging to deep in your skin that opens you up for Collitus or MRSA. read more

Ok, so I wasn't going to say anything but I've decided to. First off I was supposed to be getting a new tattoo this past Saturday, nothing complicated just some roses and branches with birds but I wanted them to work it in with my pre-existing birds. So I go to ink spot tattoo in Lakeland on the Monday before and talk to the lady, she tells me they can do it and the artist will redraw the picture to tweek it slightly to work. She has me leave a deposit and asks me to come back on Thursday to meet with the artist to make sure I like the redrawing. So I show back up Thursday and he hasn't drawn it yet, hasn't even looked at it yet. So we discuss some stuff and he says he will send me a picture Friday afternoon. I never got a picture, I called twice and both times told he was about to email it, he never did. So I show up Saturday 15 min before my time and she says the artist (johnny Montalvo) isn't there he ran home because he "forgot the drawing" and then half hour later comes back and says he is having car trouble and will be an hour. I leave to go get lunch and 10 minutes later she texts me asking to come the next day because he can't get back til later that night. So I asked for a picture and she said she (Gail Montalvo) would it, which she never did. The next day I show up and he is drawing the picture and brings me out, an hour later, something he has cut up and glued together and looks absolutely horrible! Then got offended when I told him that. I asked for my money back but he said the deposit is so he doesn't waste his time and refused to give me my money, but he didn't do any work until the day after my appointment. The receptionist lady was rude af. When we walked in she was buying a plane ticket and ignored us while we waited at the front desk. She asked (with an attitude) "can I help you?" And when I asked her how much it was to get my nose pierced she told me the price and went back to buying her ticket. She was completely unhelpful and kept pausing during the payment process to check on her plane ticket and had an attitude the entire time like I was bothering her. She then was also the person piercing my nose and when we asked her if she was the piercer she said no she just helps out sometimes. So we walked in at about 6:30pm(we had already came back and left once because my daughter was a minor so we had to notorize the consent form) I gave the form and the card from the lady at the front desk for ten dollars off to the piercing guy and tell him were getting my daughters nose pierced. Well he first made sure I knew that he was sick of her giving 10$ off that she was going to start paying that money then said that this was a waste of his time he is a tattoo artist and only makes 5$ a piercing. Might I add he was standing there doing absolutely nothing at all when we came in. So I said every 5$ counts I was a server before and he said its not worth his time he makes $100 an hour tattooing . And continued as though we were the biggest bother. Until of course his pizza man walked in and he then told us we were lucky we got there before his pizza or we wouldn't have been getting the piercing. (that takes 3 whole entire minutes start to finish with the paperwork) or we would have been waiting until he was done. This has to be the rudest most horrible customer service I have ever received and if you don't think my money is good enough for your business just because its only a piercing then maybe you should post that you don't offer piercing. This place was awful. I went in to get my belly button repierced and the women barely spent any time with me. She did not talk to me about what she was doing at all even though I had been pierced before I feel like she should have. Not only that but she pierced me to deep any in a matter of days the ring started to sink in and heal around it. My father got a tattoo at this location 3 months ago waiting for it to heal before returning for his touch up . When we went for the touch up they claimed the person who originally did the tattoo quit so they were unable to touch up the tattoo without paying the original price for the tattoo. The manager lost his cool due to the fact that we were upset customers he even threw his phone! And again this is the MANAGER. Some type of accommodation or sympathy would of been appreciated after all it is not our fault that there employee quit why should we have to pay for his mistakes? As a business you should take responsibility for your work and accommodate your customers! The tattoo business is a word of mouth business I would not recommend this place for anyone.
