If you're looking for an authentic Peruvian experience then this is the spot! We ordered an appetizer that I forgot the name but was a filled baked potato and it was delicious! Next was the chicken with sides and the sides were by far so good. Were fresh, tasted great and would visit again just for the sides. Wow, So it all started with that chicken standing outside!:)))Advertising Inka. But I was on my way for a Casper Roll:) BUT a couple of days later I stopped in .... It WAS Wonderful, I had chicken, fries, Blackbeans and Plantains!!! I ate the chicken and fries first, I was full after that but insisted on dezsert....the plantains! Awesome! The best I ever had. I kept the beans in the fridge and ate them 3 days later with the rice.....they were super good too. I thought wow....gotta go on Yelp and say so! Well had the opportunity to go back to Inka Kitchen. Took a friend because I wanted him to see how good it was. He was not disappointed. Will post the pictures. Everything we got was excellent and the service was great. This food is fresh may take a few minutes more to make, but not long, just enough time to talk with your friends. Inka Kitchen is one of the best places in Chambersburg. I get the churrasco de pollo with fried rice and black beans - the flavors are unreal. It's always so incredibly fresh and tasty! I was able to stop in for some of their rotisserie chicken and mofongo the first week they were open. They had really nice staff and fast service for our take out. Their roasted chicken was moist and seasoned just right. I also got the mofongo with shrimp, which I really liked, but it could have used a little more sauce to balance out the drier center. I'll definitely be stopping in again to try some more of their menu. read more

I had the shrimp Mofongo it was soaking in oil and flavorless. The cook didn't see any problem with it at all and they brought it out to be looking like that. The place is clean the service is good the food is horrible. That is $20 I will never get back again. The food is mostly assembled none of it is authentic home cooking. Pick another place if you're looking for that authentic taste. When I mentioned it to the waiter all he said was sorry. Never offer to make me something out didn't offer to reduce the price didn't even offer to take it off the check. I won't be going back. The food here is very good! I love the pupusas and pretty much everything I have ever gotten there. The chicken is the specialty and it is phenomenal. Everything that I have ever eaten is very good. So you might be saying why only 4 stars instead of 5? The service while it is friendly and polite, sometimes is slow. If you are in a rush it is probably not a great place. The food is all made fresh so to me the wait is worth it. I would prefer food made to order than quickly any day. I've eaten to Inka Kitchen 3 times and each time I had the rotisserie chicken, fried rice and black beans. The chicken is terrific, moist and flavorful. The fried rice is delicious as is their black beans with this wonderful smokey flavor. The dips for the chicken have a wonderful tangy flavor with just the right amount of heat and really compliment the great taste of the chicken. . The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Stopped by this place for the 2nd and final time. I originally tried them when they first opened. I had a horrible horrible experience with the mofongo and swore I'd never go back. I decided to give them another chance on Valentine's Day. It was about 7:45pm and the small restaurant seemed busy. Most of the people there were sitting with empty tables. That should've been my first sign things weren't going to go well. I ordered a Chicha (Peruvian drink) Made in house at $2 a glass . I also ordered two pupusas . I figured it was the easiest, and it would be impossible to mess up. The waitress was nice and attentive and kept pushing my drinks. The drink consisted of 80% Ice plus drink. After my second, she asked again. I asked her if I was paying $2 "a glass." She assured me I was! I laughed and said, "no thank you." After a 35-40 minute wait and my $4 In drinks I finally asked if the kitchen was behind. She said they definitely were! Not once did she tell me that prior to sitting down or when I placed my order. In all fairness, I should've noticed when I walked in and no one was eating! I asked for my check, paid, and left. By this time it was almost 9pm and my Valentines Day was a total bust Along with everyone else's in the restaurant who still was waiting to eat. The place is very unprofessional, unorganized, and should've known better. I definitely won't be back to that place! I would like to review their food, but I never tasted it! I'm sure it's the same quality as their service! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY. There are so many other places in town where you will get better service & better food. read more

I got food here on a Saturday afternoon. My bf ordered tacos and they were very dry and not great. My daughter got French fries with some kind of sausage and that was really good. I got pupusas and yucca and the pupusas tho stuffed well had no seasoning what so ever and it ruined it for me. The yucca was undercooked as well and no salt. Also it's Peruvian why is there no crema de rocoto? Service was good; but If I go back I might order something Peruvian since the offerings from other countries wasn't great. My family & I wanted some latin food so we came here after reading the reviews. So let me say that the food is great with large portions. What lacks is the timing of the food. One of my son's ordered 1/4 chicken dinner. His meal came out before the appetizers. Then the appetizers came with my entree. I had them return my plate untill we at least finnished our appetizers. Then all the meal where not even ready yet. How do you not bring out all the dinner entrees at one time. If all the meals are not ready then wait untill they are. read more

This is the second time I've been to this place and I really like it, a super unique restaurant for the Chambersburg area. The first time I had the Mofongo con churrasco and it was good, but a little dry, could have used a little more sauce. It only came with a tiny container of sauce on the side, so I'll probably avoid that one in the future. The second time however, I had the Mofongo con camarones and it was much better. Much moister, plenty of sauce. My sister had the Aji de mariscos and that was good too. The mussels and squid were cooked perfectly which is tricky to do. The papa la huancaina was a really unique appetizer, just slightly spicy, will definitely get again. Our waitress was great and totally humored me as I completely and painstakingly butchered the pronunciation of everything we ordered. Portions were large and the cost was small for such high quality food. My sister wanted to steal their tablecloth. P.S. Try the chicha morrado, it sort of tastes like a chilled mulled wine (non-alcoholic) but with more spice. Super delicious. read more

I hate doing this. This place seems well discovered already. A friend took me here on a long motorcycle ride we were on, a small place tucked in a strip mall. The first tip off was the crowd. I've been here twice already. I don't know what Peruvian food is supposed to taste like but I wasn't disappointed. The first time I was here, I ordered churrasco de pollo and had Peruvian rice and fried green plantains as my sides. The portion was just right and I really enjoyed the plantains. It's something I don't get to have often. The second time I came, I had the pollo saltado. I didn't think it was as good as the churrasco de pollo since it was just some chicken with fries. I tried the morir sonando drink and it was a little too sweet for me although other people may enjoy it more than I did. It's a milky drink with lots of sugar in it. I had different waitresses both times and they were both very attentive and friendly. It can get crowded during peak dinner hours. read more
