I used to love Sardis (Frederick and DC) but Hagerstown and now Frederick too really took a nose dive. The prices are way high for getting smaller servings. Plus the sides are not good anymore. Dried out beans and rice, over cooked yucca, and just all around undesirable looking food. And Hagerstown doesn't have Horchata!! We no longer go back after going at least 3 times per month. We cannot justify it when the taste is no longer king. Sad to have lost this in our restaurant rotation. read more

Updating this to say: Sardi's is the best ever. We go here all the time. The food is always fresh & flavorful, served with a friendly smile and good attitude, and the restaurant is always clean. We even used sardi's for our rehearsal dinner. I absolutely love this place and am so glad it exists. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and I've tried most of the menu, but favs are Churrasco de Pollo, Arroz Chaufa, and Brussels/carrots. The green sauce is the best! GO HERE! read more

Wow. This place the chicken was so tender and juicy. It was absolutely delicious on its own - plus they gave me a verde sauce (tasted like cilantro lime salad dressing with pepper) that was wonderful. Green beans with onions. A salad with their own brand dressing. Plus charred mixed vegetables- onion, tomato, squash, bell peppers - this was great too! They have a do it yourself soda machine. Service is amazing, they really go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. Our online order was accidentally messed up, I ordered a whole chicken but got a half chicken and Door Dash did not want to give me a refund. I called Sardi's to see if I could pick up the remaining half of the order that was missing and they happily said yes. Once I got their, they had my order ready with a whole chicken and even offered to add a dessert or soda free of charge. The gentleman greeted me when I arrived and opened the door for me when I left. Getting that kind of customer service is very rare nowadays and Sardi's went above and beyond. Best charbroiled chicken! This Peruvian chicken is by far my favorite place for chicken. The marinated chicken has great flavor and the price is very reasonable. I first tried it outside U of Maryland campus after my daughter's Badminton Tournament. Most of its chain stores are in Maryland. Hagerstown is the second store I stopped by in MD. Just found out they have one in Philly by City Avenue area. Definitely will stop by there when I am close by. read more

I have literally eaten here 3 to 4 times a week since I have been here working in the area. I always call ahead and they have never had my order incorrect. Everything that I have ever ordered has been delicious. The shrimp, Sardis salmon with beurre blanc, and steak empanadas are my favorite. The fried rice and the brussels with carrots are also very good. I love the char and the way that they season and cook everything perfectly. Whats even better is that you can grab a tasty treat from the Brewsters icecream counter while you wait since they are attached. They are always super nice as well.
